You get service like this on the 5-Star Skytrax (the UK based airline rating system) level with airlines like Singapore, Etihad, Asiana, Eva, Qatar, Cathay, Garuda and ANA. The members of this 5 star club are mostly Asian and Middle Eastern airlines; they just know how to deliver utmost experience. First, as you board the plane staff on the jetway up until your seat greet you by bowing with their back parallel to the floor....amazing. Same when you de-plane. Then your dedicated attendant introduces themselves by name to wish you a great flight. Before you land, the same person comes up to you to wish you a pleasant journey. We'll never get this level of service with U.S. carriers, we just don't have this level of respect for anything or anybody, LMAO. We have a lot to learn as a culture! Then, the food service is probably one of the most refined in the skies; Japanese or Western the quality of the food is sublimely delicious, like dining in a restaurant. The delivery is exceptional. Finally, if you ever have to ring for attention, the attendants appear within 10 seconds or earlier. Restrooms are cleaned after every use. Older plane, exceptional service and food? She gave us 2 labels to sign but didn't give any pen, when i ask to borrow her pen, she gives out a pen and tells me to bring it back with an impolite attitude. We didn't mind, returning the pen to her and move on, then when we're about half the way in the line to check in counter, she yells at me to return the pen (already did) which she just gave someone else. Then i tell her i did return it, she knows that she's wrong, then she ask me to leave the line cause i'm not going to board the plane instead of providing an apology. I tell her my wife got problem with her hip, i was helping her with her 2 50lb packages but that employee still asks me to leave saying "but your wife is not wheelchair". I was about to put her in her place but my wife told me to let it go and i have to go to work after all. This is the first time i ever saw a very rude ANA employee with a big ego and ugly skill.

Everything seem straightforward, and I didn't have to deal with baggage claim delays, which made getting out much faster. The signage was clear enough to follow without confusion, and the flow from the gate to ground transportation was pretty effcient even with other passengers arriving at the same time. Overall a simple and easy arrival back into Houston through terminal E. I would love to get this terminal each time I arrive home. Could be because we had a light passage haul even though we were on a larger craft.

So much energy from the United team and I'm sure a lot of effort that went in preparing and hosting to the event. Definitely a big Texas welcome! Turkey and vegetarian wraps were decent but the popcorn machine with freshly popped popcorn and different seasoning sprinkles was a nice alternative to airport food. A line dance wrapped up everything and then it was boarding for the next hub.

Well, I really wanted my dad to travel somewhat comfortably, but what wouldn't cost my guy and I an arm and a leg. So I did some research and checked out different airline prices online...different airlines and all. I'm only familiar with so many airlines, usual...Continental, Southwest (lol like they fly out of the country), Jet Blue, and so forth. Then I found Singapore airlines to be quite well, and one of the best to fly international, Asiana to be cheap, and Japan airlines to be luxurious (way out of my price league). So when I gotg the call from my dad that he's at an agency, I'm being biased, thinking why? They are going to charge more!! My butt, who says do your research first...oh boy, I should slap myself in the face, why would I even think that? I never even been to one! ...... MORE TO THE POINT: So I came there and wow the roundtrip ticket for Singapore Airlines!!!! Only for 1280!!! Economy class, but thats okay, I mean it was cheaper than any online deals I could find.....I think the cheapest one I found was actually like $1320....so I was quite pleased, and this being with Singapore Airlines, who I hear is very accomodating...nice My brother flew with Asiana from the arrangement with Deluxe Travel, and said personally he thought it was quite comfortable...price? I'm not aware of. LONG STORY SHORT NOW: cheap flights to Vietnam and very decent ---- nice airlines. If you're traveling internationally to Vietnam, try this agency! Or maybe any other one, just in case, cause I don't know any other ones, but the prices were nice. It's nice that they have decent customer service, yes they do talk english as well. And its cool that you're not only getting your flight, but the visa was included as well, and they'll help you out, assist you to the process of traveling internationally and direct where you can get a passport. $1280 for roundtrip to Vietnam on SINGAPORE AIRLINES and a Visa, with some good assistance, can't beat that. The flight isn't until January, but its still a darn good price! The first experience with my brother smoothed by fine, and I'm sure with my dad would be grand, hopefully!!!

My only knock is due to construction the airport was a little confusing. For instance Zone 5 is actually two separate sections and you can't see each other. Minor nit. Half of baggage claim six was inaccessible from blocked off construction so bags got stuck on the other side... but construction workers helped people. Mine was stuck in a closed AA office because it arrived early so they had it better.

At the gate, I was carrying a CPAP machine (which is a medical device), a carry-on bag, and a very small fanny pack that was approximately 3 x 4 inches. The gate agent rushed me and told me I needed to condense everything immediately. She showed no concern that one of the items I was carrying was a CPAP machine, which is considered a medical device and is generally not counted as a standard carry-on. I was also carrying it for my father, who has severe arthritis and has difficulty carrying his own belongings. While I was being rushed, I told my mother, "How irritating." I was expressing my frustration to my mom--I was not speaking to or directing the comment at the gate agent. Despite that, after I boarded the plane, the gate agent stopped my mother and told her they would remove me from the flight simply because I had said, "How irritating." Which seems kind of taking your rights away. Does southwest not believe in freedom of speech?? Do I have to be careful what I tell my mother or I'm going to get thrown out ?? The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional . Whether this was due to poor training, a power trip, or something else , no passenger should be treated this way, especially when traveling with medical equipment. Southwest, please do better. Train your employees on the policies regarding medical devices such as CPAP machines, and remind them that passengers deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, even during stressful boarding situations.
