The staff is very friendly with a family feel in the dining area. The front entrance has a variety of authentic Mexican goods including sandals, hats and even real vanilla from Mexico. They make drinks that are familiar to fans of Starbucks but they are not a franchisee. The food served at 1887 Café is made by the Bethel College food service, which is run by Aladdin if I'm not mistaken. They do serve different items that can be eaten with coffee for breakfast as well as salads and sandwiches that can be eaten for lunch. Many of the staff that are serving customers are actually college students at Bethel College. They have both indoor and outside patio seating
