We didn't inspect the ductwork ourself, afraid to crawl in the crawl space, but sort of assumed we needed to replace it. Other companies came out and inspected it and assured us the rats had damaged it beyond repair and that the whole system needed to be replaced, and gave us very high estimates. At long last, we had Tyler, the chief technician at Flores come and take a look. He said that our ductwork was in great shape and the rats had done minimal damage, so minimal, that repairs were not even needed. He had no financial incentive to tell me that truth and I am incredibly grateful. Should we need HVAC work in the future, we will only be dealing with Flores. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the less than positive reviews on this company were coming from their unscrupulous competitors, some who wanted my to pay $10,000 for a brand new ducting system that we apparently do not need.

Which has my pluming capped. I reached out to the owner, only to be retold that we are responsible because we have faulty gutters, which we were never stated we needed gutters in the first place. The complete estimate we had was the complete job. The owner has never even showed up to address this concern. And it's sad to have to go to civil court or something that should've been honest and taken care of in the first place. Last, but not least the guy that did my roof was fired.

They all came out and looked at our roof and gave us quotes. The quotes ranged from a low of $22,000 up to over $50,000. We then contacted Chico Roofing Company because we had 2 different friends recommend them. The salesperson (Cal) came out and was professional, personable and not pushy. He explained the roof replacement process explaining the different layers and product to be used. He then reviewed with us the warranty of the roof itself and of the workmanship. 50 years on the roof and 25 years on the workmanship. Their quote was less than $25,000 and when you take in the warranty factor it was by far the best deal. We signed on with them and they did a great job. The attention to detail of the crew and of their Foreman (Jessie) was top notch. Bill, the owner stopped by to check on the crew as well as to see if we had any questions on numerous occasions throughout the process. I've mentioned it to the crew and to friends that corners are not cut to save time when you warranty the craftmanship for 25 years. We purchased our home and were searching for a contractor to review items that were addressed in our home inspection. I reached out to a local designer for recommendations and she recommended Mat. He said he was unavailable to help with the items on our list but gave recommendations of businesses who could help, such as Miller Glass. No problem... the trouble started six months later. We reached out to him in January of 2025 asking if he had time to help us build a wall in our entryway sometime that year. He said yes, came over to look at our space, and charged us $100. Since then, he has done barely anything and it is now August of 2026. He has had a couple of conversations with us, said he would come back over for final measurements but never did, sent us a couple of AI rendered photos, claimed he was discussing with his door supplier, changed his business email without telling us so we had to dig for it months later after he disappeared (which he does for months at a time). He quoted $10,000 and said it could go up to $15,000. We told him we budgeted $15,000 but to let us know if the costs would be higher... we weren't fighting him on costs. We were kind and incredibly patient. We were hoping to find someone who could ultimately help us with renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms. We were willing to wait for a quality contractor, but I am appalled at the poor service we have received. Stringing us along for over a year and a half is unacceptable and unprofessional. If he hadn't been recommended by the designer, I would think he was scamming people with fake consults. I'd look elsewhere if you value your time. I feel like a bit of a fool for wasting so much of mine.

The roof is out of warranty, of course, but since the first day of a series of heavy rain just started---they got here today, identified a seal that needed touch up, and touched up all the roof vent seals for good measure, in less than thirty minutes. Total pros and the two workman were very nice. Can't ask for more and now they are top of our list for a planned bathroom remodel project.

We had a inexperienced person dig out enough dirt to expose the pipes and attempted a fix that failed and created a bigger problem. Phil was able to respond within a few days. He dug out much more dirt, made the repairs and filled the hole with sand, replacing the rocks on top so the landscape was not changed and no mess or pile of dirt left behind. He gave us a quote that was fair before starting, he did not go over the quote. He gave us a much more detailed invoice than others have provided, plus he took time to explain the problem and best solution and took before and after pictures We will call him for our next project or repair.

The blind I had purchased was the wrong item and Phil offered to exchange it and return to the apartment and install it. This one hour job turned into a 6 hour job. I believe his charge of one hour to go to Home Depot was fine. I thought 3 hours would be more than fair to complete this job. Phil charged me for 6 hours of work totaling $370. This is an extremely excessive and expensive charge.
