Highly recommend this company! Workers showed up on time, and worked hard and efficiently to get the entire job done. Solar panels had to be removed and reinstalled. A crew came back the following to be sure they were working as expected. All the crews; estimator, solar panel crew, old roofing removers, new roofing installers, material delivery drivers, were polite, respectful of my property, on time, and hard-working. This is an amazing company to work with. We attend the Chico Home and Garden show twice a year. In October we signed up for quotes with local companies and one out of Redding. They all came out and looked at our roof and gave us quotes. The quotes ranged from a low of $22,000 up to over $50,000. We then contacted Chico Roofing Company because we had 2 different friends recommend them. The salesperson (Cal) came out and was professional, personable and not pushy. He explained the roof replacement process explaining the different layers and product to be used. He then reviewed with us the warranty of the roof itself and of the workmanship. 50 years on the roof and 25 years on the workmanship. Their quote was less than $25,000 and when you take in the warranty factor it was by far the best deal. We signed on with them and they did a great job. The attention to detail of the crew and of their Foreman (Jessie) was top notch. Bill, the owner stopped by to check on the crew as well as to see if we had any questions on numerous occasions throughout the process. I've mentioned it to the crew and to friends that corners are not cut to save time when you warranty the craftmanship for 25 years. We bought our house, new, 35 years ago. It was time for a new roof, especially after having so much rain this past year, and leaks were discovered. Our old roof was composite tile, apparently the tiles were put too close together so that water drainage was an issue, and we had moss.. which isn't good. Chico Roofing came to our rescue. They were fair in pricing, and the crew that did our roof (Jesse was the foreman) were very respectful, polite, considerate , and clean/neat. At the end of each day everything was cleaned up, and nothing left behind. We had some areas that were in bad shape, and Jesse and his crew took care of everything. We no longer need to be concerned. Our roof is beautiful, and honestly (in my opinion) the nicest roof on our street. I walk every day, and I tend to check out roofs now, and I am so pleased with the results. This company was easy to talk with, they answered all of our questions before, during, and after installation. We bought a house knowing it needed a new roof. We had a few quotes but ultimately decided to go with Chico Roofing. We decided to wait a few months to have it done & they were completely understanding. Once we were ready we got it set up, they were so quick & effective in the reroof process. All the workers were very respectful & great. One accident knocked one of our sprinkler heads over that sticks up out of the ground (we've done it several times no biggie at all), I took everything out to fix it myself and he insisted on fixing it himself. We also noticed an odd looking spot when they were done, the owner came and had them rip it right up & address what was underneath. I called to get an estimate for repairs on my roof that was installed just one year ago, the guy that answered the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive, as soon as he found out that they did not install the roof he stated it was going to cost 200.00 to come out and give an estimate for repairs then in the same breath stated because they didn't install the roof they would not perform any repairs, they were too busy doing complete roofing jobs. Chico Roofing management reached out to me about my experience. This appears to have been an honest mistake; communication fell through the cracks which can happen with any busy business. They've addressed the original cause and kindly communicated their apologies. As such, I'm updating to a neutral 3-stars. To be clear, I haven't used their roofing services because I replaced my roof last year through another, more responsive, company. But if they make good on their renewed service efforts, then their happy customer reviews will wash out my one-off bad experience. read more

Took a day off of work to be home for a scheduled appointment. Three hours after my appointment I called to follow up only to get attitude from the office. I was told to be patient and they would let me know when they spoke to their employee. By the end of the day nobody had shown up and absolutely no follow up from the office. Obviously they don't need any business. read more

These people are unbelievable! Called with a leaky roof and set an appointment (best they could do was 5 days in the future). Luckily the rain stopped and there was time. This morning, with rain pouring down, and water leaking into my house, I waited for the roofer to come to the appointment. Waited all morning--mopping up water as the time passed. No show. I called to find out what was happening. I was told they had "realized it was a tile roof and we don't currently service tile roofs". They never asked what kind of roof I had. They never called me to cancel the appointment. When I complained, the person on the phone said the contractors are responsible for all contact after the appointment is made, and they don't know anything about problems. But she knew that they had "realized it was a tile roof" so that is a lie. I could have had another roofer out here in time to avoid the additional damage if they had just contacted me--or asked an intelligent question to begin with. NEVER, EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND WET--AND NOT EVEN CARE. read more
