That was surprising enough, but what really bothered me was seeing a mandatory 15% service charge added to the bill. I have no problem tipping for good service, but automatically charging 15% when customers are expected to get up and place their own orders makes no sense to me. It's another example of the tipping culture getting out of hand. To make matters worse, the food was very expensive and simply wasn't worth the price. Between the confusing service, mandatory service charge, and overpriced food, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place.

There is no spread or sauce on the sandwiches because they give you a bottle of garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette to pour onto your sandwich as you eat it. I don't know if something was wrong with my taste buds but I honestly didn't taste much of a difference with the garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette besides the vinaigrette being, well, more acidic. I couldn't have told you what was in the garlic cilantro was if I didn't know what kind of sauce it was. They really went above and beyond to make the experience special. They were out of the pastry selection that was part of the Elite Experience, so instead they brought me a special croissant with pistachio cream, which was absolutely delicious. Then they surprised me with a glass of champagne--such a thoughtful touch! For my meal, I had the Israeli breakfast, and it was fantastic. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of my favorite parts was how incredibly sweet everyone was to my dog, Jack Daniels. I always appreciate a place that makes both me and my pup feel welcome, and the staff couldn't have been nicer to him. I ended the experience with a cute Yelp gift--a pair of adorable socks!
