Mr. Faklis measured my legs and determined that one leg is 3/8 inch shorter than the other. He was able to slice the soles of several pairs of shoes and add a 3/8-inch lift to each right shoe. This works MUCH better for me than trying to wear lifts that go inside my shoes. My balance is so much better now, so I even had a lift put in my right slipper. My wife and I also purchase our shoes at Faklis now, knowing that we will get shoes that are actually good for our feet and don't cause pain. (I think it was 2024 that we started going to Faklis FIT for all our shoe needs.)

I fell in love with this little shop on Tarpon Avenue in Tarpon Springs. They have a very nice selection of clothing, shoes, homemade soaps, lotions, hats and jewelry. I purchased an adorable wrap-around striped shirt. I should have tried it on the store but I did not. I tried it on when I got back to my friends house and it didn't fit quite right. I didn't have time to return it Sunday and the store was closed Mondays and that's the day I went home to Jacksonville. I called the store Tuesday and the owner was willing to work with me. I mailed the shirt to the store and she gave me a store credit that I could use online. That is exceptional customer service! Which was much appreciated as the shirt was $26! And I have no doubt that I'll find something cute online. Update: I found another piece that I loved on the FB page and it is in the mail to me now. Can't wait until it arrives! I recently visited this location looking for Wide-sized athletic shoes for my son, as they seem to…read morehave a better selection than other retailers nearby. The store was clean and neat, and I was greeted as soon as I entered. One of the employees even helped me find a section of wide sized shoes, and pointed out how to identify them by their boxes, which was very helpful. The difficult part came when I was trying to match up pairs. Many of the boxes were mismatched, and the shoes inside were different sizes or the left shoe would be standard and the right shoe would be wide, etc. The store was running a BOGO 50% off promotion, so I decided to pick out a 2nd pair of shoes for my youngest son as well. The promotion required the purchase of a new release style, in order to get your second pair 50% off. I didn't find this out until the cashier informed me of it at the register, so I had to go back and pick out a different pair of shoes than what I originally had wanted. I picked out a different style, and checked the right shoe in the box to make sure the size matched the box, which it did. When I was checking out, the cashier stated that they were checking both shoes to make sure they were the same sizes. I saw them open the box and inspect the shoes, but I still ended up getting a mismatched pair. The right shoe that I checked, was the correct size (5Y), but the left shoe that the cashier checked was two sizes too big (7Y). I found this out later that night when I got home, and my son tried the shoes on. I had to drive back to the store to get the correct left shoe. Overall, I would say the store has a good selection of new brands and styles, but you may spend time finding a matched pair. If you are looking for a bargain, you will have better luck at Ross or Marshals nearby.
