Flix bus operating with Greyhound. Pay close attention to your ticket and the travel times. My bus made many stops and all told my ride was almost 6.5 hours from Richmond, VA to Philly. I was only paying attention to "lowest fare" and now I see why. I took a late FlixBus going down to Virginia and that ride was way more relaxing. I left Philly at 3:15pm and got to my destination at 8:30pm. Five hours and some change. The bus only made two stops and after the 2nd I had the entire back of the bus to myself. Also, I would not pay the extra five dollars to pick your seat. While some folks honor their seat assignment I saw many who did not (including myself) and if someone was in your seat you just ignored it and found somewhere else to sit. This is how it was on my ride down to Virginia without incident. However that was not the case coming back where two individuals getting on in Wilmington demanded their correct seats and it caused a whole scene that the driver struggled to control because the people in their seats had people in their seats. Taking another trip down in December. Now I know the do's and don'ts and you do too.

Taking the Flixbus from this particular location was odd since it was in a part of town that I was unfamiliar with (BSL line). It isn't as centrally located as the Market street stop but it is in a neighborhood I was definitely go explore next time. The "station/stop" is in the parking lot of the Philadelphia Boys and Girls choir. The bus driver was polite and we left promptly according to the schedule. With the prices that they have it's no wonder it's not completely jam packed every day.

Recieved voucher on day it expired. This is how they steal then refund so you lose all your money

complete garbage. booked a bus for mon they scheduled me for tues. tried to get a refund due to there mistake and recieved a voucher. Would never use or recommend this garbage company to anybody. Customer service is a joke and completely useless. They are thieves and just want to steal your money. gave me refund voucher that expired the same day recieved

We booked for 3hours with 2 stops, with scenic views all over the city (love park, art museum, old city, south street, stadiums). Norm was our gracious driver and safely got us all over the city, was so funny and nice, and helped everyone on/off at every stop. He even pulled over near the stadiums and gave us an INCREDIBLE solo performance, it was such a vibe. Nick was our MC for the night and did literally everything to make the night a success. Our group had stops planned and we were a little indecisive about timing but he was so gracious and assured us that it was our time and they would do whatever we wanted to do! He was great with the kids, had every karaoke song we wanted (including the deep cuts), and made sure everyone was having a great time (Which we were). We made 2 stops (Cira green and cherry st pier) for views and pictures (And as bathroom stops), and one impromptu quick stop at the rocky steps for pics (we had not planned that, but they said it was no problem to park for a bit for pictures!). As our night was wrapping up they actually allowed us to extend the ride for an hour for a small fee which we GLADLY accepted bc everyone was having a blast, and we were so grateful. Genuinely the best party I've ever had in my life, big thanks to Nick and Norm for making it amazing!

We would not have had such an enjoyable and educational time walking around this part of this City without him leading the way. He shared with us that he is a retired University professor and Philadelphia native. He loves this city and it showed! We learned about the history of one of the oldest markets in the US (over 100 years old) and sampled some items along the way. We also saw street art and learned more about the history of the City, William Penn's plan for a "utopian" type society and the legendary "curse of William Penn." The Penn statue on top of City Hall used to be the highest point in Philadelphia until the 1980's when the mayor alllowed skyscrapers in. The legend goes that after that, all the Philly sports teams had a losing streak until a worker on one of the new tallest buildings added a mini statue of Penn to the top, then the teams started to win again. On our tour, we sampled... Sesame seed sprinkled fresh bread (with no preservatives) Italian cookie drizzled with chocolate. Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Fig Vinegar and Coconut flavored White Balsalmic Vinegar Special cheese (can't remember the name) coupled with spiced cashews Fresh (made today) Tortilla chips and fresh tomato salsa from a shop where the owners are from Central Mexico Mandarin orange from the produce stand Plus we got 10% off when we purchased additional items at the vendors we passed for being on the tour.

Had a wonderful time in this tour. I would recommend it! Our tour guide was exceptional.read more

Our host provided so much history in not only the background of the musical/artistry world but Philly as well. Facts, details and PEOPLE you never knew existed or was from the place of brotherly love! While he speaks you get to view a video of artist you grew up with and learned to love! So much information ANDDD he stops at places we wanted to visit while there too. The liberty bell, Rocky stairs and what should be historical areas around downtown! The Bus is equipped with top quality A/C, a bathroom, very clean and souvenirs are available for purchase. Bonus: there is a big surprise at the end. I won't give it away but trust me you don't want to miss out!

The air-conditioned bus with bathroom facilities, and an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining driver made this an amazing experience. "The Funky Man" as he told us to call him, gave us a history of Philadelphia's Blues, Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Pop, Rock, and Rap influences throughout the years. We had a couple of stops where we left the bus and were able to view Philly's walk of fame, the Rocky statue and the famous steps (which I opted out of racing up to the top). Along the way we saw many other non-musical sights as well (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, etc.) Fun facts, an engaging driver, and video clips on the bus along the way made this the highlight of our trip to this wonderful city. (Of course, a visit to Pat's cheesesteak stand was great also, but that's another review.)

Our tour guides (Jess and Dominic I believe) were awesome and we'd definitely do this again. Tip definitely buy the individual tickets ! Not worth it to pay for the whole bike at $375. We all bought the individual for $31 each with 5 of us and we still had the bike to ourselves. Lucky break I guess.
