Being from Hawaii where almost every "related to massage" entity is a front for a brothel I was a little skeptical even in good old El Paso,Texas. I grew up in a trailer park off Dyer Street and I kind of know El Paso is not the classiest place in the world, but this is a shining jewel in a pile of dog shit AKA town called El Paso but my fears were not legitimate in this place was a great find. And this place was actually very nice on the inside & the staff was very very squared away, and they gave a great massage/s too as I went three nights in a row. I am in the area working a travel nurse contract. I work long, stressful hours. For my first day off i planned on scheduling some self-care with a spa day. I researched spas in the area and decided to go with a Float and Calm package that included massage, float tank and sauna. This is not a large glamorous spa but a quaint, clean, comfortable spa the made me feel I had personalized service. I enjoyed all my services very much and the price was more than fair. The float tank is large, would be great for someone new to floating and concerned about claustrophobia. I also liked the star like twinkle lights in the tank ceiling. I decided to make this my weekly self-care package. The owner Lily is attentive and so warm. Being alone on travel assignment I appreciated that very much. My second visit I switched it up and decided on a massage with CBD and cupping. I had a different massage therapist, Cruz. Let me start by saying I have had numerous massages in my lifetime. I feel like it is pretty uncommon to get a massage that isn't enjoyable. There has only been one, ok two if I count the one in Shanghai, that I didn't walk away feeling good. However, Cruz provided me with most therapeutic massage I have every had. I felt he was not a massage therapist but a massage practitioner. He has a very professional and comforting presence, I trusted him instantly. I trusted him to "prescribe" the massage treatment and he used a variety of techniques that included deep tissue, Thai, Teksen and washi (and maybe more?). It's was in addition to adding essential oils, CBD and a cupping session unlike any I have had before. This was a very intense massage (because that's what I wanted) that required feedback from me to ensure my comfort level. Again the fee for service was well below what I would have expected. I left feeling better than I have in as long as I can remember and unlike any other massage I have had this feeling lasted all week. Usually by the next day the knot in my rhomboid and neck stiffness is back. Today I went in for my second massage with Cruz and he picked up where we left off, more of the same. I am already looking forward to my massage next week. Bottom line upfront: I give Float and Calm the highest possible rating. The same for Cruz massage "practitioner". I highly recommend this place for your Day Spa or massage needs. You won't be disappointed. read more

I went in for the 30 minute infrared sauna session which I do weekly but this was my first time at this location . I was disappointed because the sauna did not go above 141 degrees until the last 8 minutes at which it still only reached 144 degrees . I did not even start to sweat until the last 5-10 minutes . I mentioned that I was dissatisfied with my service and they offered me 10% off . I asked if she could do any better because I hardly broke a sweat . She then replied ," you are not guaranteed to sweat." So unfortunately I had to pay the fee and left . I will not be returning because what's the point of you aren't guaranteed to sweat . read more

What an incredible experience! We wanted to try this so we scheduled two pods (one for each of us). We were welcomed by an incredibly kind woman. She prepared us for our pod experience and showed us the way. The experience alone felt weird at first but as I relaxed I felt centered. By the end I was completely relaxed and felt completely zen. I slept like a baby and woke up rejuvenated. We will definitely do this again! read more

I purchased a 60 minute float but note that if you want to take a friend they only have one float. Also though they say they open at 10 they do not have the first appointment until 10:30 since they have to turn the heat on. When I arrived I asked her if you could see the timer from within the float and she said yes. I was concerned that I could not relax constantly wondering. You use a bathroom to change, there is a locker that can fit a purse and beach bag. You don't need to take your own towel they have three in the float room. They provide a robe and slippers but I took flip flops (which I recommend so you can use them in the shower). I wore a bikini though I had read people use it in the nude. You store your stuff and then they ask you to fill out a form. Then you take the key into the float room, and in my case I took my glasses too. She tells you to shower and touch the touch screen on the wall to start the timer. I asked if I close the lid to the float container or does someone else do that. She said you do it yourself. She also pointed out a float noodle that you could put under your neck. the water did not smell dirty but there was a light in the tub changing colors and it did not exactly look crystal clean. I did not know if it was the epsom salt or something else. There was a belt attached to the door so I asked if we use the belt to close it since I did not think a belt swishing around would be comfortable. She said since I had long arms to use the handle on the outside. I still did not understand because I would obviously need to bring my hands inside leaving a gap but she said it would close by itself. I also brought it to her attention that I did not see a timer inside the unit and she pointed to the timer on the wall where you start the timer which you cannot see once the float is closed. I told her this is why I was asking from the start. She said I could open the float and see if I wanted to, which is a pain in the butt. She THEN told me her friend took her phone in there which I WISH I would have known since my phone was NOW in the locker. There was a plastic shower hanger that you could leave it in so you could at least see how much time had passed. So take a zip lock and your phone if you want to have ANY concept of time and don't want to have to keep opening the unit. I showered, and started the timer. As I suspected, closing it did not work. When I used the handle on the outside I had to leave a gap to bring my hands inside and so there was a gap. Irritating. 20 minutes later I opened it to see what time it was, since I did not have my glasses I could not see the part of the screen on the wall five feet away that had the counter. You may turn off the light in the room, there is a latch hook on the door if you want to lock it, there is a soothing background music. The shower has shampoo, conditioner, and soap. If you get water on your face or your hair drips it WILL burn your eyes, there is a small face towel in the shower hanger (wish I had know that), you should have that ready if you open and close that damned door. I eventually learned to just pull the belt, you can just use a small part to close it and let the rest hang outside. I wish I would have known that from the start. I had tried leaving it open thinking it was just a pain however it is too cold. After 40 minutes I was really just frustrated so I got out and showered the salt off. I was going to turn off the timer on the touch screen but when I turned on the light I could see how dirty the screen was and did not want to touch it. If you read this maybe your experience will be better, if I knew then what I know now, I could have been better prepared. read more
