I'm not much of a review writer but I think this place deserves a shout. I heard of floating through a client and was curious, so I thought I would check it out. I was having some back pain at the time of my first float on 2/13 and wanted to try different methods of therapy to get it back on track without medications. After last night's float (I've been ever week for 4 weeks now), I must say that my back is feeling as good as new and I am thinking that the floating is having a great deal to do with it. The back pain was my initial reason for checking out floating but SO much more has come out. Each experience has been more rewarding that the last and I plan to continue floating. It is such a nice way to shut the world out for an hour and a half and deal with everything that is going on internally. At a fraction of the cost of a therapist, I'm hooked and my coworkers are remarking on how much more calm I am. The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Ok so I have not actually made my own floating appointment yet. But I had to share the experience I had with these folks. I went in one Saturday to purchase a gift certificate for a friend who has been wanting to go. A man that I believe is one of the owners was at the desk and he was SO kind! He even offered to show me one of the tanks and explain how the process works. Honestly just being in his presence makes you feel calm and zen! And that was just the experience you get from walking in the building!!! I am wanting to try the open tank at some point as he explained that there are many health benefits to this practice! My boyfriend booked me a float for a date and it was amazing! The staff is so relaxed and informative. I have heard and researched a lot about float tanks but nothing did it justice. Of course I was nervous when we arrived but they walked me through everything a couple of times. If I could give any tips it would be to put the ear plugs in before you shower and to just relax. I was so nervous that I wouldn't hear the music to alert me it was over I started to get antsy towards the end, believe me you'll hear it! I will definitely do this again now that I know how to relax and just let go. It feels like no time has gone by and at the same time an eternity has passed. It's such a wild experience everyone should try at least once. read more

This business has been a godsend for me. I have fibromyalgia and deal with pain every day. I've been floating since they first opened and it has reduced my pain levels tremendously as well as my stress levels. I've floated in all 3 tanks, and like all 3 for different reasons, but my very favorite is the new open tank. It's wonderful and a good bit bigger than the closed tanks and easier for persons with mobility issues to get in and out of because you don't have to mess with the tank door because there isn't one. I love this place and the owners are very compassionate and want to help their clients. Great place! read more

Blissful experience! Came out feeling refreshed. I did the open tub, not a fan of feeling enclosed so tub was perfect! Few tips, don't wear makeup. You will have to shower and remove any lotion/ deodorant. Don't open your eyes, got salt in them and the burning sensation took away from the relaxation time. You wear earplugs and you hear music when your 90 minute is up. read more

Myself and two of my friends came on 10/29/2016 for the 11:00 float. Really,really enjoyed our float. I was in room two and was in complete darkness and silence. However, I was in complete relaxed state of mind and I heard talking and brought me completely out of that state of mind. I heard noise so I thought that maybe it was the music playing or one of my friends on their phone. I tried to get relaxed again and couldn't. When checking out, my friend, who was in room 1 heard them talking as well. I did mention to the receptionist when asked about my experience and she said that "they had to take some phone calls." Overall I had a great float and will come back, and have recommended it to other friends. read more

This past Tuesday was my first experience with Float Nashville. I spoke to Mark before my coming in and he said it would be best to start me off in the open pool. I was relieved to hear this because I do not really care for enclosed spaces. It turned out to be one amazing experience. A little about myself. Early this year I had a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction. Though I was healing on the outside, I was having a hard time reconnecting with me. I felt overwhelmed with all of the sensory input in my daily life and felt tired and frustrated most days. The first 30 minutes I just focused on my breathing. The first sensation I felt was connecting with the entire body of water. Every breath seemed to expand the water and every exhale the air became more. I started to see a white misty smoke that would change colors. I then felt like I was swimming beneath the ocean. I would remember conversations I had with people and they seemed to lose their outward appearance and become abstract versions of themselves, almost as though they were painted my Picasso. I then felt like I was floating through space. I saw these two planets that were part of me but I was also observing them from a third party perspective. I watched and felt the two planets (one was a swirling with a million different shades of pink and the other glistening black) meld. Once they did I saw my center which was a wet obsidian with a roaring fire around it. Then music started playing and it took me a while to realize where I was and be able to turn on the lights. They had a great selection of tea to choose from and all of my senses where heightened after my experience. I was in zen for a few hours afterwards and had a wonderful night's sleep. read more

Went with my wife on Valentine's Day just to see what it was about. I was definitely skeptical about the benefits of a float. I had recent spine surgery and the benefits of an Epsom soak and spinal decompression was well worth it. It was also a really great experience. Very calming and introspective- Kind of like a forced meditation. Would highly recommend. read more

Words fail me on how excited I am that there is a float therapy site in Nashville! We drove from Knoxville to partake in the healing waters. The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My husband and I felt right at home instantly and we both had an amazing 90 minutes in our own sensory deprivation tank. MY favorite is the Escape Pod! We had a great time after our session sipping 'the best cinnamon tea on the planet" chatting and sharing our experiences with the owners. Being our last appointment of the work day, we felt no hesitation or rush from the owners for us to leave. We were delighted that they allow us to take in the whole pre and post float experience. It delighted me to learn about their many experiences in the float world, especially a fibromyalgia research project where they are working to prove even more valid information on the therapeutic effects of sensory deprivation tanks. I cannot wait to hear the results once the study is completed! My husband and I are now float junkies and I have booked several sessions in a row to get a cumulative effect before I have to head home to Knoxville. I recommend this place for anyone looking to feel better. Period. read more

I went here with a friend for her Birthday. I had no idea it would be so amazing for me personally! I have struggled with anxiety and various relating issues for years - and for the first time after floating today I feel like I did when I was a little kid before my anxiety hit. It was an intensely powerful to experience sensory deprivation and to be disconnected from this overloaded world we live in, forced to be alone with your thoughts and body and breathing. It also surprised me because I felt some body pain I didn't realize I was carrying, and by the time the floating was over, so was the pain! I would recommend it to anybody!!! I have a chronic illness that causes me pain, and floating is the closest I ever come to being pain-free. My life is pretty hectic, and taking time out for myself to be in complete silence is very important. It isn't easy to get me still for long periods of time, but I can zone right out in these tanks. I had been clinching my jaw (even in my sleep) from stress, and it caused a lot of pain. It hurt to eat or talk. I floated for 90 minutes tonight, and my jaw finally let go and the pain subsided. I was able to go home and eat without pain for the first time in over a week. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

I don't think I can say any more than the previous commenters have. It's obvious that we all LOVED LOVED LOVED our float. I'm always open to something wonderful for my body/mind, and this is fabulous. I have nearly chronic stiff joint pain, and when I stepped out of my float, NOTHING hurt!!! And it lasted for hours. This gives incentive to be more active and enjoy my freedom of pain-free movement. As I live in Missouri, I can't come back often, but I have found that these opportunities are popping up in more places, and will most assuredly be taking advantage of it wherever possible. You MUST try it. And for no less than 90 minutes, you will not believe how quickly that time goes by. You won't want to stop! These people are so welcoming, warm and friendly, and very informative and helpful. It's a GREAT environment. read more

I had read about floating awhile back and was so happy to find one in the Nashville area. When we arrived everything was explained thoroughly as we were first time floaters. Once my body got used to the floating it was a very relaxing experience! My stress level was very low and I actually fell asleep a few times in the tank. I am a little claustrophobic so I put a towel in between the tank door so I was not completely closed off. It was nice to relax for a few minutes after the float. They have a bunch of different teas which is great. I look forward to coming back soon! read more

From the moment I walked in, I was in a wonderful, transformed space. The lobby had comfortable seating, lovely art, interesting books, calming aroma diffusers, and an overall great feeling. The staff was enthusiastic, but also calm and very informative. Of course, then there was the float tank! Wow! I tried "Floating" for the first time this past weekend and was a tad bit nervous because it was something new, but as soon as I walked in every ounce of nervousness went away, i was greeted by Mark & Amy with open arms, smiles and kindness, they made me feel right at home. Mark took me back to my tank that I selected, walked me through every step, what to expect what not to expect and was very open to answer any questions I had. My float experience was amazing, It took about 30 minutes for me to get adjusted but that is to be expected after I just let go and relaxed the next thing I remember was hearing soft music, I felt so relaxed, and so in-tune with myself the only thing I did not like was that It was over. After I was finished I was greeted with Amy's sweet smile offering to fix me a cup of tea or coffee! I cannot say enough good things about Float Nashville.
