Which is fine but then he changed the price on some people because they got there later, to $40 per person plus parking. (This was not even for tubing but just to be in the little area which was already paid for, by family members that were already there. ) During this time he kept making racist comments, such as "I hate Guatemalans ", and " If you don't speak English, just leave my property. " We would have left but we had already paid and he would not refund us our money. When we asked him for a refund he said he wouldn't give it to us and tried to take back what he said. And after everyone had paid which was over $1200 at this point. He towed 1 of our vehicles, even though we paid for parking. (He did this while we went tubing) It was $480+ to get the vehicle back and we could not get it back till the next day. We live an hour away... We will not be returning and giving our hard earned money to this business ever again.

They have cooler float for your stuff to keep it as dry as possible, which was worth it($10). There are plenty of spots on the journey to stop and swim. Big grass field to park at. I saw that if you bring your own tube you can hitch a ride for $10. Great owners and staff, who made sure someone was there at the end to help grab their tubes. Plenty of space to get out of the water. They have phone covers and rope for sale if you forget yours. Great time all around and we were on the River for about roughly 2.5-3hours. They take other payments instead of just cash.

The restrooms stand is the best example of this respect. The restaurants are clean and well appointed. Two shower curtains are in the shower stall with a sit down stool for the shower and I'll sit down or posted area for the sit down area in the into shower. Nice touch. Clean, operated washers and dryers are available in both the men's in the ladies room and you can use your cell phone and a smart phone app to pay for services. Nice touch. We note some derogatory comments about the attitude of the owners, but in our experience, nothing could be further from the truth. Put yourself in their position watching a wide range of RV travelers coming in and out all day long. If you do, so, you can imagine they'll see some excellent visitors, many, run-of-the-mill visitors, and some are to put it in nicely less than desirable. They see it all in our experience. A little engagement on some humor goes along way, and we found them to be delightful. Go in the joy. This is a nice campground with clean well appointed facilities. Go and enjoy. Note: our Garman GPS did not take us to the right spot or the right entrance. We ended up on the opposite side of the Dan river at a private residence. It's definitely a laid back and rustic environment but I was all in. Paul takes care of his customers and he was very adamant in teaching us the rules of the river before letting us launch. I had $60 in cash and he would only take $40 even thought the price was listed as $50. It's a great deal for you to kayak, paddle board and tube on the gorgeous river. We had it basically to ourselves that day and it was a revelation. The only thing I'd say is there needs to be upgrades to the life jackets. Most of them were child sized. Lots of roots and trees around, so there is not much even ground even for sitting at the picnic tables. Definitely a more family friendly feel, and with the space is being so close. It's not a very relaxing campground with peace and quiet if that's what you're looking for. It wasn't overly loud or people partying it up or anything, but just not a private campground if that's what you're looking for. For $40 a night, I would say that it is well worth the money and our kids had a great time!
