    Water view from tent landing.

This camp ground is so cute for tent camping, grilling out, fishing and the other amenities given here. Bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. Power outlet by each campsite. The water view from out tent sight was so nice and we could see the stars. Pet friendly.

Updating my review from a 4 to a 5. We went on our second trip Thanksgiving weekend. Hosts were super accommodating, the views were beautiful from our camper, had a great firm fishing. Just an all around peaceful weekend. This is a great campground for amazing views and lots of relaxation.

This is one of the nicest camp grounds I've ever stayed in. At less than 10 miles from home I feel I could be 1000 miles away. Facilities and showers are very clean. Awesome lake views, wooded views, and even one with pavilions like a parking lot of your into that. The park is very quiet after 9pm which is nice opposed to some that literally turn on at that time with rowdy drunks. The staff are excellent and very helpful. It's truly a gem a lot of people overlook. Keep overlooking so the reservations are still easy to come by.

The view, looking to the right at C6. You can see the swings from B lot on the far right. Great shaded lot

This CG is local to us, so it is quick and easy to use as a "home base". Even with the convenience set aside, we love coming to this place. My favorite thing is the view from many of the spaces...Oak Hollow Lake. The lot breakdown.... "A" lot is the upper area with the pool (small, but nice) and a bath house with showers...which are just okay, typical for a woodsy-type place. There are a hand full of spaces that our older 37' Winnebago (or our newer 28' fifth wheel with truck still attached) would fit in..A15 and A16 have good water views and fit ours easily. Most (if not all, but I can't quite remember if it IS all) have asphalt landing pads. Several have sloped parking, so bring levelers...and as it is more of a natural area, there are tree roots that have pushed up in most, but that usually doesn't cause a problem. There are several wooden tent pads around the outter ring of this lot, but they are accessed by a side road. "B" lot is the overflow and big rig parking. It is all gravel...no grass, roots, or concrete. There is a set of swings and a large picnic shelter that runs between the gravel lot and the lake. "C" lot is almost a peninsula that goes out in the lake, so there are more water views. We have stayed at C6 in our 28' fifth wheel and loved it...great view of the lake! There is a playground for the kids and a bath house (same as above). There are also a few fishing docks that you can stand on to fish, but many people fish off the bank area. There is a marina attached to the property, so it can accommodate boating as well. The employees here are knowledgeable and friendly, but as there are only a few that work there most days, it may take them a few minutes to come back to the welcome center/check-in area. Here, they have a small retail area for basic supplies. Since the CG is in the city of High Point, there are several grocery stores and a plethora of restaurants in the area, many that deliver. It is rustic, but surprisingly peaceful here...even with being near a main/busy highway.

    Campsite in section A

This is a very nice campground. If I had come here to tent camp or been set-up in section C, I would have probably given 5 stars. It is quiet with a good family oriented crowd. The reason I go with 3 stars is the campsite we are in is the worst one here, but when we called to make reservations the guy told us it was the best (jokes on me for sure). A lot of the sites in section A are very off level and require a lot of blocks to level up a camper. Finally, It is Memorial Day weekend and the pool doesn't even have water in it. I would stay here again, but I know which sites are good and which are not. A22 is certainly out of the question for me.

It is a wonderful place to stay. I'm definitely coming back here. I have never been to an independent campground that was so accommodating to its campers. Our site was mostly level requiring minimal adjustment. We had really good wifi signal, even during the rain/thunderstorm. The only complaint/downside is that the check-in time during summer hours is really early at 730 pm when the office and gates close.

    Perfect at the pool....

Lovely campground with RV hookups and tent sites. Many of the sites have a lake view. Also has a pool, clean rest rooms and showers.

Great place to camp. Right on the lake. Nice sites. We camp there often. The middle section has very long spots for bigger trailers or rvs

The managers are extremely helpful! We didn't have an extension cord long enough, and Tom brought us one even though it was night time. Very friendly staff. One of our favorite campgrounds yet! I drove from my home in Durham, NC, to the Pilot Knob lookout toward Pilot Mountain (a popular place), stayed for the sunset, and then decided to stay for the night. Because I was booking my weekday campsite after dark, I called rather than just booking online. The owner, Tom Pace, told me he could sell me a bunch of good dry wood for $10 and gave me directions to the nearest ATM/store and the campground (wood required cash payment, online site reservation did not). All were easy to find, even in the dark. Tom and his 11YO daughter came down shortly after I arrived, and he set up and lit my campfire for me (!). We talked a bit and then they left me to take in the fire-lit night. I could see the shadow of Pilot Mountain across the field in front of my campsite, but I was unprepared for the majestic view that met me in the morning. It was foggy as I lit my fire, and I sat on the same bench as the night before (the one beside my fire pit) and watched the fog turn into clouds and then disappear completely, revealing the best base view of Pilot Mt I'd seen (I have been there twice). Even the bench I sat on was a reflection of love and spiritual well being - "May All Who Sit Here Be Filled with Love" was carved by hand (probably by pocket knife) into the back of the bench. My eyes welled with tears. I needed this hug from the Universe. The couple beside me (campsites are very well spaced, with ample attention to privacy) gave me a cup of coffee and a packet of pop tarts, so I remained in the campground until nearly 2 o'clock, walking to the nearby pond and across the meadow, wishing I could be on my horse. When I returned to my campsite, I reserved it for another night, which was easy to do because I had better cellphone reception at the campground than I do in my own house. I went to the Pilot Mt visitor's center (a 10-minute drive), then walked the relatively flat 2.5-mile Bean Shoals Access Trail along the creek - the trees were glowing with autumn colors. It was easy to get lunch and ice and groceries and dinner - everything was within a ten-minute drive, and any food I ordered was well prepared, well presented, and tasty. I am returning with my sons soon, because they can do virtual schooling at the campground using our phones as hotspots. I want them to experience the regenerating magic I was privileged to experience at Jomeokee Campground. The campground provides potable running water, electricity, and hot showers, and the bathrooms are large and well kept, as are the grounds. I cannot say enough about this place.

We note some derogatory comments about the attitude of the owners, but in our experience, nothing could be further from the truth. Put yourself in their position watching a wide range of RV travelers coming in and out all day long. If you do, so, you can imagine they'll see some excellent visitors, many, run-of-the-mill visitors, and some are to put it in nicely less than desirable. They see it all in our experience. A little engagement on some humor goes along way, and we found them to be delightful. Go in the joy. This is a nice campground with clean well appointed facilities. Go and enjoy. There are a lot of long termers and while I have been to places this was a negative, it is not the case here. They were friendly and campers were kept up. My only wish was the pool opened earlier in the day, especially on days that it was 90 degrees before 10am. I took my daughter and her friend here in my 32ft class C and had no problem at all maneuvering. Has full hook-ups with no issues. Each site had it's own trash and fire pit. Kids enjoyed slushies, a few pool games and lots of swimming. There are some video games as well as a juke box but the juke box was out of order when we were there. As a warning, bring cash or check. No credit cards accepted. The rates are reasonable. They have a calendar of events and I happen to stay the one weekend nothing was scheduled. They have an Easter Egg hunt every year that my kids have enjoyed in the past and still talk about it. It's a great place to relax and make some memories.
