I've had check ups from both Dr Cho and Dr Wong. They are both friendly and helpful. I've tried multiple optometrists and the reason I am settling down here is because they out of their way to ensure the customer gets what they want. They are very accommodating and their service is top notch. They are so earnest in helping that sometimes I feel guilty because I take such bad care of my eyes and make their job that much harder. We have been coming to this office for the past few years, and I got to say that Dr.Cho provided the best overall experience out of all the doctors I have been to. And I've been to a lot with my bad eyesight! As others have said,the exams were thorough, great manners, etc. But what left the deepest impression was her honesty and pursuit on providing the best care and customer service. For example, during my last visit, there were some issues with getting my contacts on time and getting seen by the doctor on time. Dr.Cho did not make any excuses and explained to me what happened and what she's doing to correct the issue. And she kept making small tweaks to my contacts until they fit really, really comfortable. I came in to get an eye examination and a new pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses. I must say that I was very happy with almost every single aspect of the service, from the front desk to Dr. Cho! I loved the pair of glasses I picked and I can't wait for them to arrive. The intern they had who ran the initial tests was a little too serious and stoic, and additionally he never acknowledged my girlfriend who was also in the room. When we went to another room he still didn't say anything or acknowledge her, so she felt slightly uncomfortable. I just wish he had said a hello to her. He did, however, perform the tests without a hitch so I had no complaints there. The woman who helped me choose my frames was very nice and I could tell she was doing her best to make sure that I was staying within my budget and trying to give me the best deal possible. She was also very friendly and upbeat, so no complaints there. I do wish that she had given us a little time on our own to explore the glasses choices instead of picking out some for us immediately. That said, the choice she picked out did end up being my favorite, so it's hard for me to say it was a negative! I'm usually a very loyal patient and prior to finding For Eyes, I had been going to my old optometrist for almost a decade. Unfortunately, I had an emergency and my old optometrist was booked for weeks, so I jumped on Yelp and saw the stellar reviews for this office and because I was in pain, they managed to squeeze me into an appointment for the same day which I was so grateful for! Turns out, I had a corneal ulcer (yes it's as painful as it sounds :\) and long story short, I ended up having to come back to see the eye doctor pretty much 2x a week for about 3 weeks until my ulcer was completely healed. For my visits, I saw both Dr. Cho and Dr. Wong and both were incredibly professional, caring, and personable. They're both so thorough and took their time with each visit (even though it would have been easy for them to breeze through since I was seeing them so often) and I was very thankful to be under their care and that they were so patient with seeing me until my condition was 100% better. Their entire staff is so friendly and sweet, and they even gave me a cake for being a "returning" patient, since I practically came 10 times in the span of less than a month! Wow! It was another great annual visit with Dr. Hannah Cho for my 13 year old daughter! We especially appreciate her consistent, caring and personal attention. She genuinely cares about us and wants to provide the best service. Today, we were given an excellent deal for new high quality prescription glasses, multiple free samples of contact lenses, better use of insurance plan options, and same day new prescription service. Also, because we purchased the glasses through her, Dr. Cho will donate an eye exam, a frame and lenses to someone in need. To top it off, in May, she is giving her patients the opportunity to consult with a Lasik specialist directly from her office. Dr. Cho is very thorough with her eye exams. If she suspects that something needs a 2nd look she will do it. Her place looks like it has all the necessary and up to date gadgets and machines. The frame selection is decent and I was able to pick up a pair of prescription sunglasses that I liked. There's no pressure to buy one of her frames if you don't want to. The staff is friendly. I have taken my 2nd grade daughter for an eye exam. We had a positive experience, Dr. Cho patiently did the exam, answered our questions. Doctor's assistant was good but could have been better. Since kid's get easily distracted while being examined, Dr. and the assistant should manage them effectively. In our case, instead of her assistant being vigilant to help where needed, he was busy doing other work being in the same room and couldn't even hear when Dr. Cho was asking him to change the alphabet slides... why this is so important is, when checking eye-sight, especially for kids, we need to get accurate results even if kids get distracted with the new environment. Just for those 15 min kids are being examined, Dr and assistant should not themselves get distracted from their primary work of examining.. Independently Dr was good, assistant too, but they both need to be attentive when dealing with the kids.. hope they will take this positively to improve in future. Thanks, K read more

I went to the grand opening, where I got to take a tour, have snacks, and enter a raffle for a pair of designer sunnies. I really appreciated the tasteful selection of sunglasses and frames. There's nothing worse than walking into a store and being overwhelmed with thousands of pairs of frames that all look the same. So far so awesome! My mother and I came here for her first visit on Monday and received nothing less than a delightful check-up exam. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us answer some questions we had regarding exam coverage and payment methods. The doctor's assistant was also very nice, she was also patient with my mother (due to my mom's limited amount of English) and engaged in a nice conversation with us! She was overall really outgoing and caring. Dr. Cho completely blew our minds when she introduced herself in Spanish (making my mom feel much more welcomed). She also spoke Spanish throughout the entire check-up, making it easier for my mother to communicate any concerns with her eyes. She was kind enough to comprehend my mother's work responsibilities and decided to speed-up her eye-dilation recovery! Dr.Cho's professionalism is simply above and beyond! She is truly dedicated to give her patients the best service for their convenience. P.S They have really attractive and authentic glasses (both for prescription and for sun protection) on purchase. I was able to get an updated prescription here and they were awesome. Prices were reasonable and they switched out my old frames with new lenses. So I got 2 new pairs of glasses basically. I picked up my new pair and then they called me when my old frames/new lenses were available. I had switched jobs so I wasn't as close as before so it was tough for me to go get them. I left my glasses there for like months. No kidding, like 6 months lol. But when I called a couple weeks ago, they still had them! Great service. read more

I've had horrible experiences with optometrists. I yelped optometry offices and found this place since it had the most reviews and best reviews on yelp. I do have to say, this place deserves 5 stars. I have very dry eyes with astigmatism and wore glasses for the last few years. Dr. Wong gave a really thorough eye exam and knew exactly what I was describing. He found a brand of contacts that would best fit me and it does. I'm now wearing contacts again and feeling great. The front desk girls are very nice as well. I've never been to an eye doctor in my life but recently discovered that I needed to get my eyes checked and be fit for glasses. I assumed that the process would be brutal but after I went online to search for a local Optometrist in Orange County and found about Dr. Wong and For Eyes Optometry - I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH MY DECISION - THEY WERE THE BEST!! I made my appointment online which took about 5 seconds, they emailed and confirmed my appt. in about 2 minutes, sent me the minor paperwork to fill out before seeing me and the entire process was seamless and enjoyable! Better yet, they have a nice office in Irvine right off Yale/Barranca, a super frinedly staff (thank you Linda, Meghan and Jeremy!) and my expereience with Dr. Wong was perfect. He provided me with a ton of education about my eyes, the best solution to solve my problem and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish while also being respectable about my time. I'll look forward to going back next time something comes up with my eyes and am actually excited to get my first pair of glasses. I had unfortunately hurt my eye and was searching for an optometrist to see me urgently on a Saturday. I called, and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who said they can squeeze me in due to the emergency. I felt so lucky to get in with someone on such short notice. I reached the office and was seen promptly by the doctor who confirmed I had scratched my cornea. Not only did she write up my prescription, but she walked me to the pharmacist, waited for the prescription and administered my first dose. What a lovely person she is and a fantastic office. I noticed it after I received my electronic version of prescription upon request. However, I have purchased a glass already from Costco. I talked to the optometrist about that and she was professional to solve my problem.
