It is my pleasure to share with you that I have had the privilege of using the services of Sami Benhaym and his firm, Flooded.com with mitigating my damages brought about by a broken water pipe in early January. My basement was flooded Friday morning on the coldest day in February. I called him and he responded immediately by draining the water and removing the damaged wood and furnishings avoiding the problem of mold and mildew. Sami came to do water remediation because my basement flooded and I was in a panic to get someone to help fix the leak. I appreciate his help to cut up my walls, put fans to dry it out wet spaces and spray microban to prevent mold. However, he didn't fix anything. He was super aggressive and intimidating . He took his time to remove his equipment from my house. He did so only after I demanded it after things were not looking right. The place was dried after 3 days and he still kept his fans in my house for another week. He was more concerned about water remediation than identifying the cause of the leak. I would warn future clients to be very wary of him and his practices. While working with insurance he was annoyed that I wasn't more aggressive to demand an immediate resolution -- likely for his payment. He had heated conversations that had no backing or substance to claims when speaking with the insurance company. Claimed walls were wet when they were not -- it was due to the reflective foil on the wall paper that was causing a false positive on his wetness meter. Experienced water remediation professional should have known that. He also claimed my tiles had asbestos and he would need to do asbestos remediation. He took a tile for testing only for it to come back negative. Appreciate the thoughtfulness but again he aggressively pushed there was asbestos. It was already a stressful situation and only to have him add to it and fabricating things to the insurance company. At the end I didn't want him to do restoration work for me. I couldn't trust him and didn't like his attitude. His attitude was not professional at all. He cursed at me, called me liar, said things about god, threatened to put a lien on my house. If he continued I'd get a restraining order. It was a very scary situation to be in. Please take this as a warning -- do not let him impose his services on you that he is not licensed, advertised or hired to do. He's not a contractor or a plumber. He's a con man and wants to scam the insurance company. I had to hire a separate plumber to find the leak and fix it -- and yes I hired the plumber and his company for the remaining contracting work to close up the walls and to do work NOT related to the leak. It was my own prerogative. In America we have a choice. Just an update-- my insurance paid this thief 6k to cut up my walls and blow fans for 3 days. No fix or drainage. Not sure how he managed to weasel the insurance this exorbitant amount of money. It's a shame. This is why insurance in America is so costly. It's because of crooks like these. read more

We had a bad flood in our new condo Easter weekend. I called a few places and left messages and Sami from Flooded.com was the only person to call me back. He and his team of Edwin and Walter came over right away and set up dehumidifiers and fans and air scrubbers to prevent mold from setting in. Sami took care of everything and was very easy to get in touch with. He always called or texted back immediately and sent pictures of progress. All the floors and many walls and the kitchen cabinets had to be ripped out and replaced and the team did it fast and efficiently. The plumbing and carpentry was taken care of by Haime and he also did an excellent job. The whole team was extremely nice, polite and very patiently answered all my questions. Sami and his team were amazing from start to finish. They came in, accessed the damage, and gave us a clear plan of what to expect throughout the process. This was a scary and uncertain time for me but they made me calm and comfortable. They even helped me pack up my things and move them to storage. As far as the restoration to my apartment specifically, they went above and beyond. It's beautiful. The rest of the building is also amazing. From the Roof down to the basement ceiling, Sami's team delivered. Sami kept me abreast of each step via calls. He also sent photos and videos of each stage of the process. He has the best team. I had a fire in my house and the water damage was worse than the fire damage. I worked with Sami who took care of everything from the water and fire damage to putting my house back together. Fantastic experience!! I had a leak in my basement and called flooded.com and they came that same night. Sami took care of everything for me including dealing with all the insurance paperwork and helping me contact the insurance company. He was truly a lifesaver! The leak was fixed the same night and they took care of drying out the space with large dehumidifiers so mold wouldn't form. The construction was seamless from beginning to end and he worked with my schedule as I work night shift. The new floor and repaired bathroom came out beautiful!! The crew did an outstanding job! It looks so much better than before, I have a new beautiful, updated bathroom and new basement floor! Also during construction of the floor they found asbestos tiles and they contacted the appropriate team to take care of that too! We had a Category 3 flood (sewage involvement), and the guys from Flooded.com were a huge help in getting us back to normalcy as fast as possible, which included emptying a very full basement quickly so they could rip out and sanitize under the contaminated floor. The high quality of individual at Flooded.com spanned the organization, from Louis and his crew performing the initial clean up, to Tommy giving us the daily updates on his progress, to John walking us through what the insurance coverage should be, and finally Larry patiently answering the many questions we asked him about ensuring the control of airborne contaminants, given we have a high sensitivity along those lines with two very small children in the house. STAY AWAY from Flooded.com. ! My basement was flooded. They did a HORRIBLE job of restoration. Terrible painting and carpeting. They actually did damage. I had to briing in a contractor to repair their damage. They wrecked my garagage and several valuable tools went missing. The manager responsible was either unresponsive or rude. Please, I don't want anyone else to have this experience. There are plenty of good businesses out there. STAY AWAY from this one! I wish I could give them ZERO stars.
