Found the best place for our Floor and Decor Wingwood Engineered Hardwood Flooring. #trash #60thousanddollarmistake Four years ago we purchased 2500 square feet of Wingwood engineered hardwood. (We also purchased over 3200 square feet of Wingwood engineered hardwood flooring in 2011.) This flooring is rated with a hardness of 3 on a 5 point scale (a Floor and Decor rating), and is stated by Floor and Decor "to be a durable choice for families", "harder than Oak", "easy to maintain and perfect for any home" plus, it comes with a 15 year warranty. We thought this floor sounded perfect for our needs and our family, that is why we purchased it. Right from the start the floor began to fall apart. One day after installation the floor was showing areas of wear from walking around the house in flip flops, at first we thought it must be us, but within a couple months there were scratches everywhere! The top layer is peeling up and/or worn off on more boards than we can even count . Our floor looks like we spend our free time picking new areas of our floor to scratch up with sandpaper and rocks. A true embarrassment, I won't even turn on the overhead lights anymore. (We have added a few pictures so readers can see and decide for themselves) We filed a warranty claim with Floor and Decor, but their 12 page "Warranty" covers basically nothing. If you took any planks out of the box and put it down on your sub- floor then the warranty is pretty much Void. The warranty claims process requires you to hire a Floor inspector, recommended by them, that have IFCII, NWFA and CTIOA certifications- there are only two individuals in central Texas that have these certifications. Let's count them again: one, two. They charge $500 to come look at your floor (what's another $500 at this point since we have already spent 10's of $1000's just for the flooring not to include the price for install, glue, etc AND the looming price to remove and replace this mess we have...no big deal right?) For $500 I can have one of two Floor and Decor recommended inspectors evaluate my Wingwood engineered hardwood flooring. I wonder what their findings will be? This has been a very expensive situation for us..and yes, rightfully so, we are pissed. Now we are on a mission to make sure that this does not happen to anyone else. I wish someone would have warned us. If you want to buy engineered hardwood flooring and then have wall to wall carpet immediately installed over it, then this might be the floor for you. If you have an area of the house that is air tight and you intend on bricking in the space to never enter the area again, then this might be the floor for you. If you plan on walking, standing, breathing while standing or you just need flooring then DO NOT BUY WINGWOOD ENGINEERED HARDWOOD FLOORING. One of our contractors asked us while he was inspecting the Wingwood Engineered flooring if it was " Made out of Cardboard?" We assured him that it was a quality product and stated all the specifications given to us by Floor and Decor...Guess the jokes on us Run do not Walk away from this product. Just don't run or walk on the actual Wingwood product , because the product is actually total crap, just worthless "Cardboard". read more

I would like to take the time to say how awesome the Floor & Decor store in North Richland Hills is! I have been in there probably 10 times now and each time I get excellent service. The staff is very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. I have made all of my purchases there for bathroom and kitchen remodel, as well as all of the hardwoods. I shopped around and they have the best prices for the best material in all of DFW! I want to personally thank Mitchell Degahn who helped me find my hand scraped hard woods that I love and are perfect! He helped point out the pros and cons of it all and stayed with me until I made my decision. Russell also helped Mitchell and Russell helped me the day I found all of the tile. Russell was very patient with me the day I picked out tile and super helpful! They were both very friendly and knowledgeable! So happy with the experience! Also want to mention Dallas who helped me before who was awesome as well! I am a real estate investor and I will forever moving forward get all of my material at Floor & Decor!!! We are renovating our master bathroom and I went to Floor and Décor this evening with my vanity door in my cart and expensive tile I had picked out from another store. Marly Colondres kindly approached me and asked if I needed any help. She then attentively listened as I described my ideas for our bathroom. Marly took me around the store and helped me pick out everything I needed, and she designed a beautiful picture wall for the walk in shower. She gave me quite a few options to choose from, actually displaying them on an inspiration board, and was extremely patient while I thought about the options and made a decision. She even took pictures with her phone and sent them to mine since my phone was not working properly! That is incredible customer service! I am very excited to have the bathroom completed. I know it will be even better than I originally imagined and at half the cost of the tile from the other store! read more

I wanted to give a shout-out to the very helpful staff at the Braker Floor & Decor location. Specifically MOE!!!!! We are redoing my mom's bathroom to make it ADA accessible and have no knowledge of how to do this kind of thing. When we entered the store, we went up to Moe and asked for help and he was amazing! He stayed with us the entire time, helping us find the products that we had selected during a home consultation with our architects. He put everything on carts, gave helpful recommendations when asked, and had our order ready at checkout, and even helped load the back of our truck to get us on our way quickly. Moe genuinely cared and it showed. He has several years of experience and I'm sure F & D appreciates that he goes the extra mile to back it up with kindness. First time there and we got OUTSTANDING customer service from Colleen (the young woman from Boston). My husband and I are first-time DIYers and needed a lot of hand-holding when purchasing bathroom tile. I can't speak for the rest of the staff there (they seemed friendly enough), but I feel as if we really lucked out after just randomly asking the first person we saw (Colleen) for help. She not only knows everything there is to know about the various types of tile and grout, etc., but she quickly honed in on our "style" and without us having to say much, showed us various design options that were as if she had known us for years! She was patient with all our "first-timer" questions and took the time to explain things in a way that made sense to a novice. I felt as if we were in the hands of a true EXPERT. I took a look at their website as they were a new store in town and i wanted to check them out before going in. So glad I did as I learned they had a free design service you could sign up for. I filled out their forms and was able to make an appointment for a Saturday morning. Perfect! I took with me a drawing of my kitchen and a picture of my granite counter tops. I was in the market for a backsplash and flooring. My appointment was with Shilpa Mistri. If you can get her, do it! I am not good with colors at all and she walked me around the store, listened to my likes and dislikes and pulled out some samples that I took home. I honestly could not believe how good the colors she chose fit my scheme ... all from a picture I took on my cell phone. So their new card with COMENITY BANK SUCKS!!! You can not set up auto pay and if you get side tracked with life and pay your card 1 day late DONT go into their STORE because they will tell you in line that you have NO CREDIT avaialbe which is embarrassing when you know you do! My card was 8 days late because life stuff and since you CAN"T set up auto pay you can get screwed looking like a bum!!! They want me to set up BILL PAY thru my bank which is dumb because min pay would change each month! You will have to make sure to babysit your account either way! NOT using this card ever again! I would rather go to HOME DEPOT who lets you use Auto Pay because they KNOW the odds over a week or two overlooking is possible!!! We have used Floor Decor for years,,,, not anymore! read more

Rafael Salguero was our designer, and he was extremely helpful. He showed us a few possibilities given our constraints, and helped us reach a decision on what tiles would fit best.
