So after several months of research and waiting for their Memorial Day sale, I made the trip out to Cool Springs to do some shopping. I was helped by Ms. Teresa. She walked me through the entire process of what they had in store vs what we were going to have to order online and have shipped. She then answered all my questions and even suggested some less expensive alternatives to help me stretch my budget while saving money. I had brought a measuring tape with me to measure the toaster oven I was looking to get, but before I could get mine out, she had already acquired one from behind the sales counter and was measuring it for me. If I had one complaint, and this is by no means Teresa's fault, I wish William Sonoma made it easier to get a price match in-store for items that are not available for purchase in-store. I didn't expect William Sonoma to carry a significant selection, let alone the model of Zojirushi rice cooker I wanted in a store located in a part of the country without a significant presence of Asian Immigrants (compared to the West Coast).

One of the major selling points--something I specifically remember being told--was that it came with a lifetime warranty. That promise gave me confidence that I was investing in a durable, long-term piece of furniture from a reputable brand. The table sat in my dining room near a window. Over time, exposure to normal sunlight and heat from the window caused the surface of the table to melt and warp. Let me be clear: this was advertised as a solid metal table. A properly constructed metal dining table should not melt or deform from ordinary indoor sun exposure. This wasn't placed outdoors or subjected to extreme conditions--just normal residential sunlight through a window. For a product at this price point, that kind of failure is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the materials and craftsmanship. When I called to request a warranty repair, I was shocked to learn that the company is now under new ownership and that they no longer honor the lifetime warranty that was promised at the time of purchase. From a customer's perspective, that feels like a complete abandonment of responsibility. A warranty is part of the value proposition of the purchase. It directly influenced my decision to buy. To now say that the guarantee no longer applies because of a change in ownership is incredibly frustrating and, frankly, unfair. And here's the kicker: the exact same table is still being sold on their website. They are continuing to profit from the product while refusing to stand behind past promises made to customers who already invested in it. That makes the situation even more disappointing. If the product is good enough to keep selling, it should be good enough to support--especially when customers were explicitly promised lifetime coverage. Between the product failing under normal conditions, the refusal to honor the warranty, and the fact that the table is still actively being marketed and sold, this has been an extremely negative experience. I expected quality, durability, and integrity. Instead, I'm left with a damaged table and a broken promise. I would strongly caution potential buyers to think carefully before relying on warranty assurances, particularly for high-end furniture purchases.

She was not only Extremely friendly, but she was efficient and gave me a great price. She could have increased the price knowing that I was desperate, but she didn't. She could have put me at the bottom of her priority list but instead she treated me like one of her highest paying customers. From that point on the service has been terrible. We have always been the ones to initiate contact with the store, whether it is to check on if our furniture was in and with later issues we had with the furniture being damaged. Twice now when we've called to check on if the furniture was in yet they had told us, Oh yes, it's in our warehouse, but yet no one had called to set up a delivery time. After the first delivery, the top of our chest of drawers was completely cracked, the nightstand had a paint drip on it, and the side rail for the king size bed had a large chunk of wood out of it. The delivery guys said that a manager would call us on Monday. We waited patiently more than a week and never heard back from anyone at the store. We called and the manager said that the pieces would be re-ordered, didn't seem phased by the fact that we had so much damage and never apologized or even seemed concerned that we had issues. We again waited months and never heard from the store. We called again and were told oh yes, it's in but again no one called us to set up a delivery time. They brought the furniture out. The side rail again was broken and the nightstand was so damaged that the drawer couldn't even be pulled out. The furniture was again taken back and no one called us to let us know what they were going to do. My husband again called and was told that it would be re-ordered. We waited again for the furniture never hearing from the store and then my husband again calls and they said yes it's available and it's in the warehouse. We were told a manager was going to come out and he never showed up or called. We waited a while and then again my husband called and the manager again said yes that he was going to come out on the Saturday but again he never showed up or called. We spent a lot of money but once they had our money, apparently that's where their customer service ends. I was looking forward to having a local furniture company that I could use, but I would not recommend this business to anyone.

The clerk at the front desk cashing me out talked to a manager negatively about another employee right in front of me, which was super unprofessional and beyond rude. When I went back to pick up my furniture, the sales associate was not wearing a mask and actually moved signs out of the way that asked customers to wear a mask - once again breaking local ordinances. He got political saying it was a "plandemic" - like come on, we've been in this covid thing for a year now and people are literally DYING, have enough respect for your customers to wear your mask for their safety whether you believe it or not. I would absolutely purchase furniture from Ashley again for Jarrison alone because he was truly that amazing at his job and a beyond nice guy, but everybody else in the store needs a serious attitude adjustment and some education about covid safety measures.
