The staff are very nice and helpful, and I prefer to support a local business; however, this store never has anything in stock. This has been going on since Covid. 1/4 of the shelves are bare. I needed several items that any hardware store should carry. Until they address their inventory issues, I will not be returning. Skip the wasted trip and drive to Home Depot. Items I wanted to pick up today, that were out of stock- Flag pole mounting bracket, outdoor water resistant receptacle cover (had 1 in stock, but wasn't the correct style), 3/4" copper union (had 1 in stock but I needed 2). I have to highly recommend the Ace Hardware in Nolensville. Whenever I go there the customer service is top notch. If we have some kind of oddball project going on the team there is I'll spend a lot of time to help find the right bolts / parts to make it work. 2 recent examples. 1. My son took the seats out of his truck to deep clean the cabin. Sheered off some of the bolts. Guys there came up with creative solution to get him going again. 2. Recently went to install a chandelier. Turned out that the configuration in my ceiling meant the included bolts and hardware were too short. Took the parts in and showed the Guys at Ace - they spent a bunch of time and got me exactly what I needed to make it all work. Chandelier looks great and Ace is getting a 5 star review. read more

I dropped off two mower blades to be sharpened. When I picked them up, I was shocked to see that they were charging $12 a piece to sharpen each blade. I had them both sharpened last year at cost a total of $14 to sharpen both blades. I understand that things go up some, but double? I will never bring any more blades to be sharpened here. The Ace Hardware in Brentwood will do them for $8 dollars a piece. Save some money and DO NOT LET THIS STORE SHARPEN YOUR MOWER BLADES. Price gouging at its best. read more

In the midst of a pandemic, none of the employees were wearing masks and did not practice social distancing. This is the only retail business that I have seen that has not required masks. They have a plastic shield between the customer and the cashier but that's not enough when employees on the floor don't wear masks. Very irresponsible. read more

Went in today to get 2 house keys cut and 2 keys for my very old (30 years) Honda cut. I had two generic blanks to have cut and would need new house keys made. Was quickly told NO on my key blanks for the Honda if I didn't purchase Ace's generic blanks. I told him (I presume the store manager?) that I'd done this a few months ago and he quickly barked back that due to problems in the past, they could no longer do this. I'm sorry. But how is my generic key different than yours? Also, he didn't even bother to ask mif I was willing to pay full retail with or without their key, which I was. I just wanted to use mine because it had a "Honda" logo on it. Furthermore, he could have asked me for security purposes if I had a photo ID on me and registration to the car, which I do. I love this place. We moved to Nolensville two years ago and was hoping a medium sized hardware store would open up. Matt is really nice and Knowledgeable. He always takes the time to make sure I find what I came in for. Kirk and Matt helped me find the perfect weed whacker with an awesome new head on it. I have shopped at Ace for over 30 years in multiple states. Until today, my experience has always been very positive and I have always had professional and helpful service. Today was the first time I experienced a rude sales person. The young girl that "helped" me and my husband just now at checkout was extremely rude and exhibited poor communication skills. She mumbled, barely looked us in the eye and was very bossy with us when the pay pad was not working correctly for us. Before moving across town, this Ace location was fairly close to my home. Unfortunately, I forgot it was there sometimes when it should have been the first place I tried! The staff here is always willing to help in whatever way they can. Two specific encounters come to mind. I needed to have a key cut, but they did not have the right type. A knowledgeable employee knew the other major hardware stores would not have this key either, and took the time to call a few locksmiths in the area. He found someone that he was certain would have it and could cut it, and he was right. The second great was during a hunt for a folding metal cart. I needed it to present as a gift the next day, but no other stores had one in stock. I called Ace as a last resort. Not only did they have it, but they had already assembled it by the time I got there. I only wish they were open a little later in the evenings. read more

I needed to get glass cut for my window panel and called Lowe's to make sure they did glass cutting. I explained what I needed the glass for and they said Yes come on in. I went in the very next day and brought another panel in order to match it exactly. When I got there the employee barely looked at me and said we only do picture glass. Said I'd also need to call a glass company to come out to measure. I went home searching for glass companies and the websites were so intimidating and expensive looking . So then I ran across something that said Ace Hardware does glass cutting. I called them and asked them the same questions and they said sure and even told me where to go when I came in. I wish I liked this store better; I like to support small, local business over chain stores when possible. But the inventory is dusty (literally) and the store hours are such that twice they've been closed when I needed something, so I went another miles to Lowes. They need to step it up if they want to compete with W*M across the street and Lowes up the way. read more

I really like to use this hardware store as it is smaller and almost always has what I need for repairs, paint, tools, etc. Their prices are competitive, if not better than the big box stores. My only complaint (one star down) is that they do not have extended hours - and when you are working on a project in the evening and realize you need something - they are closed. read more

Stores like Ace Hardware are becoming obsolete. Me and my family have been shopping at this store for over 25 years. We are always greeted and always offered help. The service dept in the back is extremely knowledgeable. We have had several chainsaws, lawn mowers, blowers, and other lawn equipment serviced and serviced right the 1rst time! You may not have you walmart prices but you do have the option to buy products actually made in the USA! I am beyond willing to spend slightly more for the customer support / service i receive! read more

My husband and I have done lots of work on our home ourselves, when we feel stuck on something that we need some real knowledge on, we come to this Ace instead of one of the other big box home improvement stores. Recently we had to change the valves and handles in our guest bathroom because there was some significant leaking going on. We came in to Ace and were asked if we needed anything immediately. No having to run around looking for an employee like the other places. They gentleman really knew what he was talking about, picked out exactly what we needed and sure enough he was right. We really like coming here but the only downside is the hours are kind of weird. They are only open until 6PM Mon-Sat and are closed on Sundays, so Saturday's are the only day we are able to stop in. read more

I am NOT a handy person fixing issue that arise around our home. I used to go to Home Depot and found little if any help in trying to find out how to fix everyday issues and would leave not only frustrated, but angry at my lack of ability!!!! When we moved to the Nolensville area I stopped in Tusculum Ace. To my amazement I found SHANNON. The tall lanky guy that knew how to explain the process to fix any problem I was having!!! I cannot tell you what a great guy he is and how he patiently describes how to go about fixing problems. I now head directly down Nolensville Road to ace and look for the tall guy with glasses!!!!!
