Wow this place has a lot of options and is very large. They also have a great amount of displays. I came here twice with my husband and both times had very helpful sales associates. I ended up not going with tile here as the dye lots were all different and it made me very nervous. I did, however, buy their line of LVP, NuCore in Gunstock oak and I cannot wait for my contractor to put it in my laundry floor and eventually my basement. Seems to have a strong living system and is so beautiful. My warning if you are to get tile is to inspect all before you bring home. Just seeing the variance of the shades in the dye lots scared me enough to not move forward with the tile. LVP isn't so bad as wood naturally has different shades and it's meant to look that way. 4 stars for excellent customer service and clean store. Also, I am excited to use my LVP Pro tip: go on their website and use their AI tool before going to the store. We did that the second time around and it wasn't as overwhelming. Employees are the problem! It is impossible to get help! It seems like the cashier is the only person working. I've been "helped" five times, only one young heavy set gentleman was HELPFUL. Every other person was dismissive or otherwise occupied. One tall gentleman came to the cashier to "help" me, he took me to an isle, handed me a product, from my list, then said I'll be right back. When I went looking for him he was on a computer working with other people, rude! He tried to get a muscular man to "help"! This employee took rude to eleven! He was bothered be the request for him to work, the hour I was there he was standing next to the cashier (only person working!) and on his phone! Why does that man have a job, so he can stand around, bother the cashier and never get off his phone! Great job, if you can get it! He walked over like I'm forcing him to work! HE DID NOT GET OFF HIS PHONE THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS FORCED TO ASSIST ME! In my visits to this beautiful, well equipped and huge selections with the worst employees, except for the tiny cashier and the large heavy gentleman, everyone else that I have encountered in this store should be on unemployment where the can get paid for doing nothing. Only contractors that don't need help could be happy shopping at Floor and Decor! Average person may do better to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get ignored there! DO NOT BUY tile from THIS STORE !! Spend the extra money and go through an expert that will make sure that The Dye lots and the SKU numbers all match! We had our contractor INSTALL same sku # for all boxes we bought and when he grouted it, the two white tiles with the same SKU number , same palette in the store are completely DIFFERENT COLORS !!! Now we have to rip up the entire floor.. WE went BACK to floor and decor - showed them the pictures--/and they basically told us there's nothing they can do ,and we should've known to look for the color numbers, but they don't exist on their website and no one tells you that at the store. Customer service sucks. I have been trying to return tiles. Cashier gave me a number to call. She said she couldn't accept the tiles. On hold for 43 minutes. Then they hung up on me three times. When I finally spoke to someone they said I have to call the store. The store said they don't give refunds. So the store won't refund me for the time and the service the told me to call is of no service. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! read more

This place is great. They have such a big selection for flooring and tile. They have wide range of tile for backsplash. You can get different colors snd different size tile. There is also many prints to choose from, which is nice to see. The value of the tile is really nice for the price. We got maybe 5 boxes of tile and two things of grout and spent about $500. I think that's a great price for the amount we got. The service is great. The employees are very informative and am willing to help you with all the question you have. read more

Bought a butcher block table top here and have nothing but good things to say from front to back. Product quality is quite good, and for the price I couldn't have found a better deal. On top of that service was great, they take their safety pretty seriously and make sure the loading process is as hassle free for you as possible. DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES BEWARE!!!!! This location sold me 10000 dollars worth of tile. Problem 1: they undersold me one sku and told me there was enough, when we called for more tiles they said they didn't have any as it was a clearance item, and we had to drive 4 hours to get this sku from another store or pay 600 dollars in shipping fees and wait 14 days Problem 2: they oversold another tile and when we came to return the tile for store credit they denied the return and said we are over 90 days. They sold it to us saying that they wouldn't be able to return to our credit card after 90 days but would certainly be able to do store credit after 90 days. Very deceptive. The other floor and decor locations said they just wanted to dump their clearance tile on us and sold us whatever they had knowing it would be short... and this whole not being able to return something they still carry, for store credit when we have more to purchase is absolutely insane. Please do not trust these people at all. ESPECIALLY THE FARMINGDALE MONEY HUNGRY SALES ASSOCIATES and their design appointments. Complete trash read more

Terrible!! Avoid this store at all cost!! Waited to speak to the manager for over 30 minutes and everytime they buzzed him he said he was too busy. They completely ruined my clients bathroom by not mentioning all the tiles have different lot # to them when they purchased it... which is the color of the tile... Same sku though, visbly looks the same until grouted, & all mixed on the same palette with the color that doesnt match the tiles. So I was really excited to write this review after my design consult but here is how everything unraveled. I booked an in-person design consult on Floor & Decor's website and was super excited to get help for remodeling our bathroom. I responded to the email with measurements and pictures of our bathroom and design inspo as requested. I had a 10 AM appointment with Jeannine. Jeannine was great! I met her at the design space to the right of the store. I told her I will be very simple and don't have too many requests. Our bathroom reno started way earlier than expected and I only can purchase things IN STOCK. I didn't have time to order it and wait. Jeannine understood me and showed me pieces in stock for flooring, shower wall and shower tile. I asked her if I should just go around the store now and load up my car since everything was there. She told me she would place the order in and I'll return later and they'll load my car. Perfect. I checked out at the counter and Gina said my order will be ready in 2 hours. I asked her if I needed to call and confirm it was ready and she said no. She said to pull up and it'll be ready. Now the downfall. I come back 2.5 hours later to give some extra time just in case they were busy. I check in at the counter and they employee looks at me confused. She asked me, why are you here? Did someone tell you to come? I informed them that Gina let me know to come back 2 hours later and it'll be ready. So they said they would fill my order and to wait in my car. So I was sitting in my car for about 20 minutes waiting for them to pull all my tile. They finally called me in and said THEY CAN'T FIND MY TILE! I was baffled. They told me to go pick out another tile because mine isn't in stock anymore.... So I am now visibly upset and confused. I go to the customer service desk and carrying the tile they couldn't find for me. Luckily, Gina, was there and she remembered me from this morning. I let her know what happened and she was confused why my tile wasn't pulled immediately after my order was placed. Then she called over and found out my tiled that I purchased WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE. I find Jeannine again and tell her what happened. She remembered all the tile being there when we had the appointment and was shocked my tile wasn't available / they didn't pull it. Luckily she was free and I had to pick another tile. I was upset that my appointment this morning and picking out the tile went to waste. So I had to check out again and pick another tile. Gina said I could order the one I liked but I told her my requirement was to look at things only in stock. They filled my order and I was finally out of the store 2 hours later. I am just confused and disappointed by the chain of command of this process. My order was placed and my tile was never pulled when it was suppose to be so it was sold to someone else. I was really happy how my design consult appointment went with Jeannine and then very upset how it all went to waste. My only stars here are for Jeannine and Gina for their help. We've been looking to re-do the floors on the second story of our home and were in Farmingdale so decided to pop in here. This store is massive! Wall to wall displays of various types of floors. Any kind of floor, ay kind of material, they've got it. And they're not lying when they say their prices are some of the cheapest around - they are. After finding a floor we'll most likely be having installed, we picked up a few brochures on our way out for installation purposes. A nice employee came over and explained the process to us (they do free measuring and estimates, which is a nice touch) and we were on our way. I ordered tiles from Floor & Decor's online store and after 3 weeks of no updates on the status, they arrived poorly packaged and insulated in a horribly mangled box. Worse than the disappointment of receiving a damaged product is that the customer service for this company is abysmal. There is no corporate telephone number to call to speak to a rep, the virtual assistant is entirely unhelpful, and no one responds to the online inquiry system. They say 72 hours, that is absolutely off base. Do not order online from them, you are better off going to your local store Update: Followed the instructions below on my first go around (with multiple attempts) and am still waiting for someone to get back to me and it's been weeks. We are in the market for a new wood floor and backsplash for our kitchen. The store is very big with a warehouse/Home depot type of feel. They have a very large selection of tile and a decent selection of prefinished wood floors. We walked around for about an hour looking at different items and it seemed like the workers just kept to themselves. We weren't asked if we needed help by anyone. She is one of the managers at this FANTASTIC store. My faith has been renewed in CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! i left one star because i had to. clearly, f&d writes their own product reviews. nucores cedar point flooring looks best piled up and lit on fire. after installing some of the floor, I noticed the seams were opening. maybe the floor isn't as flat as I thought. so I made it flat. reinstalled the floor. still, the seams open before i could even step on it. it's total trash. the short seams don't even lock in they just nest, and there's a "sharpened pencil" width strip of something slightly tacky in the groove to hold the seam together. half the boards in the boxes are chipped or the "locking" edges are damaged. I have installed top shelf and bottom shelf flooring. this flooring is so bad I'll never shop at floor and decor again for sponsoring such an under par product. read more

He not only took the time to explain the different benefits of each type of material but even helped me select the flooring materials needed for the entire project. For me in the Farmingdale, NY store the staff is worse interms of service. Very rude , unfriendly and willingness to assist is non existent. I went to the store 4 times in the last 4 days for various products that I cannot elsewhere. My experience was consistently the same one Asian lady at the cash counter and a Asian dude at the wooden flooring section. When asked for store manager staff says , each section has a different manager blah blah. Finally one person said its Steve but he very busy and cannot speak with a customer. Finally today a surprise Dez was one staff member who created the best experience of all and really cares for customer experience. He explained any question with patience and eventually convinced me to buy the best. He is very impressive. Overall, staff members need training, trust me you can get assessment on customer service for your staff. 90 percent will fail. I spoke to atleast 11 team members to get help in 4 visits and its a disappointment. I gave 11k business so far. read more

We bought (June 2019) and installed 2,100 sq ft of Duralux waterproof vinyl plank flooring. 2 years later (June 2021) the product (10 yr lifetime warranty) is failing in approximately 200 sq. ft. area. the planks are cupping badly and these areas are going to have to be replaced. I would not recommend the Duralux planks from Home& Decor. read more

The salesman Frank waited until 10:00 today to call and say that they do not do installation on stairs. Total waste of my time. You can easily tell she absolutely enjoys doing what she does! There was no way we would have been able to figure out what we needed without her. I had put an extension on my home and went to Floor and Decor and purchased 600sq Ft. of vinyl flooring made by Duralux Performance. I thought I was getting a great product since the manufacturer guarantees there product with a lifetime warranty. However what they do not tell you is that if you are having any issues with the floor, as I am with cracks in the middle of a tile and fine line scratches through out the floor. I called customer service to file a complaint and was told that I need to get an outside person to come and inspect the floor to see if it was installed properly and/or if it is a manufacturing defect. What floor and decor does not tell you is that when you need to have someone come in to inspect the floor you have to pay them a fee. They gave me five people to get in touch with and their fees ranged from 550 to 850 dollars. That is absurd. I had a professional contractor install the floor and will not pay the fee and floor and decor don't back their product enough to cover the fee so that is left up to the customer. This is a first. I called floor and decor and they will not do anything. SO BEWARE of any purchase you get. Also to top it all off the floor that I had purchased has been discontinued and I can not even get any more floor to have to repair any issues that I am having now and any future issues. Guys stay away from this place! Worst customer service ever. We had some cultured stone that was leftover from our work and they would take them. He stated since the box was wet, he couldn't take it. Hello, dude off course they are wet, do you not see it's raining outside. Mind you the boxes weren't even open and the stone was in perfect condition. The boxes were a bit wet but not over the top like he made it seem.The manager Paul was rude, obnoxious, and sarcastic. Stay away! Paul was extremely rude to us.
