I renovated a few properties a couple years ago and was very impressed with the selection and customer service at this store. I recently redid my home and an investment property and was totally disappointed with not only the lack of customer service but the lack of professionalism and assistance the few we hunted down provided. Was shocked at the personnel that walk right by you and offer no customer service. Ended up walking out in the middle of getting flooring, backsplash and complete bathroom tile and went to a smaller independent tile store that was over the top with service. I have another 2 baths to redo and will not be going back to floor and decor. Interesting we had to go to 2 other floor and decors and they were great. We ordered a large load of 24 X 48 porcelain tile from Floor and Decor. As our tile contractors began to unload and lay it in our house, they discovered 9 pieces that were broken. This was caused by Floor and Decor people because it was either done loading it on their truck or on the short drive over to our house. You could not see any damaged tile on the pallets that they stacked at our house when they first brought it over. It was only discovered as the men began to work through unloading each pallet. We immediately called our only contact at Floor and Decor, Martha Chamberlain. She said that there still might be enough pieces to finish the floor. Trying to contact customer Service at Floor and Decor is a real test of patience. I found it was quicker to drive than to wait on the line for customer service. It actually turned out a good thing that I did go in-person because the cashier discovered that we had been overcharged almost $2,000. OMG!! But then we were told that we had to bring in all the broken tile to prove that we weren't trying to scam Floor and Decor. We said that we had taken pictures of the tile, but that those pieces had been thrown away. They said that they couldn't help us. Now, this is the big SCAM ALERT we want people to be aware of with Floor and Decor. When you buy any tile from them and it is damaged by their own delivery people, they will not stand by their word and either reimburse or replace it for you. You are just out of luck. Unless, you are somehow able to pick up the broken pieces and somehow load them up and take them to Floor and Decor. First of all, each piece is so heavy it takes 2 men to lift it. These are sharp glass pieces too. One of our tile workers cut himself so badly, he had to go to the hospital emergency room. And, they want us to find a truck and load it and return it?? How would this work? How would Floor and Decor know that there were 9 pieces of tile? Is there a place to weigh it? And then, where would we dump it at Floor and Decor? We certainly won't be taking this load home. We would not be trying to find somewhere else to dump it either. So, this "new" policy wasn't well thought out. And I say "new policy" generously. And this is part of their SCAM. There is NOTHING in their website guidelines or in print about this. The website says if there are damaged pieces to notify F & D right away, which we did! There is no sign in the store anywhere warning us. Not one person told us about this before we purchased it. We would not have purchased this tile from a company that doesn't stand by their product and makes it impossible to get reimbursed or replace tile that the company itself damaged. All we asked was to be treated fairly. We had a number of pictures of broken tile. That should have been enough. It wasn't. That is why we are taking the time to WARN others of this and to buy elsewhere. read more

4 - selection and price are very good, hard to beat without a fair contractor. 2 - gas lighting customer service by most of the employees we dealt with. There are a handful of decent workers. You have to sift like a starving hallucinating gold miner to actually encounter a worker who actually is happy to help paying customers. 4 - tile return policy, for store credit so you are a slave to buy their stuff, which we really didn't mind; we just had to deal with that amazingly soul pulverizing customer service sooner than anticipated. I give 3 stars for the amount of selection. This is our second time inside this store and we were never greeted or spoken to. We probably will buy our materials to remodel our bathrooms from here just because we found all the materials we needed. We don't know if they offer labor because there was no one at the front desk to ask about the contractors or give us any information. We had the best customer service here! Having never been to Floor & Decor before, I certainly wasn't prepared for the immensity of this place. Chris and I were looking for tile remnants and bits for an art project and a mosaic artist friend recommended this place as a good source. I know we must have looked silly when we walked in because I swear we stood there for a few moments trying to take in everything and figure out just where we should be looking. We wandered for a minute before asking for help. The cashier we spoke with was so very nice and grabbed a manager for us. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly! He directed us to the right areas, showed us what to look for and made himself available to us when we were checking out. Honestly it was probably the best home improvement type store experience I've ever had. Chris and I both agreed that when it comes time to do tile work on our house, we'll be back. I purchased wood look tile that was of a very good quality for a pretty low price. Where they really shine is their staff! These guys and gals are awesome.. On every occasion they have been super helpful and friendly. My standout employees are Nate... this guys a good dude! and Daniel (hope I got his name correctly). They really helped me out in picking my tile, handling it, and loading it! what was really great is that it was late, i didnt have a pick up truck but wanted to get the tile that day as their on site stock was running low.. so i had to make 3 trips in my suv.. to move the tile to my home.. and each time they were there waiting for me to load it up again. They even did the math so we could figure out exactly how much i could take per load.. and got creative on how we could fit it all. They are definitely my first choice for flooring needs! read more

I went to floor and decor in Fort Lauderdale after having a terrible experience on the NW. 167th St. Miami. I met with the designer, Martha Chamberlain that change my mentality of how I felt from my previous appointment. I sat down with her and explained to her how I visualized my new bathroom. She quickly took me to the location and show me the exact tiles that I was describing. She then took me to find the 12 x 24 tiles that I was looking for in my mind. In my one hour appointment I was able to purchase the tiles for my entire bathroom. There definitely should be more Martha Chamberlain's out there. She is an asset to floor and decor. I will be returning to floor and decor to get ideas from her again for my master bathroom. read more

I went to the pro desk and asked to match a wood flooring product that I brought in. The girl behind the desk told me where to go find it. I told her I wanted a flooring professional to assist me. That is why I went to Floor and Decor and not Home Depot or Lowe's. She left her station and went to product aisle and showed me what matched closest in color and width. The floor was $168 ft. She told me I needed seven boxes. She went to go get it. She told me someone would bring it to the front and to wait there. She did not tell tell me how many square feet were in a box and she did not factor for 10% extra waste. When I realized this I had to make a correction to the order. This was something a flooring professional advises and customer not the other way around. I left with the product. Got all the boxes upstairs and open the boxes and found out they were the wrong thickness. They did not match the product I brought in in thickness. Critical mistake. Lola was not a flooring professional just someone who worked behind a desk. Also I had explained to her that I had removed one bedroom floor from a room that was contiguous with other flooring because it was damaged. That's why the floor needed to match. A flooring professional would also have told me that I needed a transition strip of some kind either a reducer or a threshold. She did not tell me that so it required me to leave the job to go locate that. Time is money. For me it would have been best if she had requested a flooring professional assist me as I requested rather than try to learn her profession on the Fly. I waited up at the front for some time. A man had come up with the material but he didn't know who he was looking for and I didn't know he was there for me. Lola did not tell him to call out my name and I didn't see anybody with material waiting for me. People are standing up there with material coming and going all the time. What I learned from this is I need to know more than the people that I am seeking advice from. And that I should get a second opinion before I leave the store and get a manager. Building a home requires patience, compromise, and eventually wearing my husband down until he agrees with me lol. Which brings us to Floor & Decor. We've been to Floor & Decor many times, but this was our first visit to this new location. This location is a bit hard to find, as you wouldn't ever think of turning down this road, but trust the GPS, it will take you to the right spot. Not sure if this location felt bigger than the others to me because it's new and spotless, but it definitely seemed bigger. We were in town to "discuss" kitchen back splash tiles. I of course had picked out a back splash months and months ago, but my husband wasn't such a fan, so here we came to look at some other options. An hour or so later we still couldn't agree, so we went around just checking out the store to see what new products are on the market (hubby is in construction). I'm knocking off a star since we never saw a sales associate nor were offered any help. In all honesty though, Floor & Decor offers a huge selection of tiles. I went to the Sunrise Blvd store this morning in need of shower tile. I was having a very hard time picking tile. Long story short: Maria, senior designer, spent a great deal of time helping me pick out tile. She was absolutely fabulous. Can't say enough nice things about her. Shay is the decorative department was also incredibly helpful and kind. She told me no matter where I was in the store if I needed help she would come and help me. If it weren't for these two lovely ladies I would have walked out without getting tile because I was overwhelmed. You are lucky to have such wonderful people such as these two working for you. The first was the pick up After the manager help us do decide which one we need and like we paid and we were waiting to loading the truck for 4-5 hours bc back at the loading area was a mess and the didn't know what is going on not only with out order .!!! Store manager was there too and other employees was working with other employees code-numbers and that's way the didn't know what happened .!! Store manager didn't care more or less that we were waiting there for ours Not Surprise why that mess happen there.!!! After 2 weeks we place a order for delivery BIG MISTAKE.!!!! We told them we need the delivery by tomorrow 9am be at our place and guess what ?? 9:30 the call and said we just left the where house and we be at your place 10:30am .!!! No thank you come tomorrow bc no one will be able to revive the order that why we ask for 9:30am .!!! Again I think is the management what make everything there negative.!!! Next day we received the order on time by a very nice driver .!!! Our project one day behind bc of the delivery was not on time the first time .!!! We received the tiles and few of them was broken we call the store and the said we need to bring it back so the can deliver the new one .!!! Hello o o o we will bring you back your broken tiles??? After we argue at the phone finally they said yes after we told them to come back and get all the tiles back and return it.!!! wish that happen .!!! Next day we start the installation so we can pass the inspection in three days we had.!!! After 250-300 square foot of installation the tiles wasn't even some of them short some of them longer.!!' Great what the f**k just happen??? Unlike we had to continue to put the stupid tile bc we need to pass the inspection and it looks horrible.!!! We talk to our attorney and the rest he will take care.!! Make sure if you buy anything to check till the last thing and don't get surprise .!!! read more

I came to floor and decor Fort Lauderdale location looking for a specific tile I was told they had in stock when I visited their Pompano Beach location a few days earlier. It is located right off of sunrise Boulevard if you go south on 95. It is really easy to get to. I always thought the Pompano Beach location was huge but I believe this one is even larger. They certainly do carry more styles than I saw at their order location. I like very simple and streamlined things, my decor style is modern with mainly whites and grays and pops of color as accents. My tile selections are also very boring if one have to call it something. I find this place is a bit overwhelming with all the choices. I always feel I have an idea in mind but once you get there, there are so many different choices and styles I didn't know were out there, that it gets a little fuzzy the longer you linger. This is not a bad thing on the contrary it is good to see what's out there and think outside of your box from time to time. I already decided what I wanted and the prices here are unbeatable. I think the only places you might be able to get anything cheaper is down in Doral Miami where all the tile places are. I did that once when I selected flooring for my home, and wasn't all that happy. I recommend this place hands down! read more

Very disappointed, frustrated and dissatisfied. Customer Service is extremely poor. NON-EXISTENT. Write letters and call weekly to no avail. Only a recording answer. I purchased a vanity in January with a faux marble top. After installation, a water stain was and is quite visible. It stands out on the surface. I wish that there was a zero.. Floor and Decor store at Sunrise Fort Lauderdale Florida.. We ordered and paid for the tiles and delivery, they promised that the tiles would be dropped off the next day, and this was not so. I called them to find out why my tiles were not delivered and I was told by a staff member that I had to go to Coral Springs to pick up the tiles. I was very annoyed, and frustrated, so I asked to speak with the manager he was not in until 10:00 am. I called once more to speak with the manager and they informed me that it would be delivered the next day. I decided to rent a truck Via Enterprise Leasing, and as I was about to drive out my phone rang, and they stated that they would deliver the tiles in 45 minutes. The tiles were delivered but they were mishandled and many of the tiles were broken. They are not organized, and they lied out -right. For two days I was given the run around, If I did not get angry, I would still be waiting for the tiles to be delivered. read more
