At first everything went great, found flooring I wanted. Some pieces had to be ordered, said it would take 1 month, a month went by and nothing came. I had to call and find out they lost the order and reordered it, they couldn't call and tell me themselves. Another month goes by they say they have it. Come to pick it up and its the wrong items. This would be frustrating at any time but I'm due to have a baby in a month and a half and I can finish the floor to move things into the room. This is ridiculous. If your floor requires something being ordered I would say don't do it and go somewhere else. read more

Robert in Managemt waited on me and I was impressed. I had just about 3 hours to pick out tile, I'm handicapped,and start shaking after standing too long so when I entered and saw how big it was inside and how heavy the cart was I was overwhelmed. I'm sure Robert could tell I was struggling. He approached and said you need some help? I told him what I was looking for. He loaded up the cart and even helped on the design. Helped checking me out and loaded in my car and I was back on the road in less than a hour..now that was service. read more

I was in Hurricane Harvey, and after almost a year it was time to figure out what I wanted for a backsplash. I was very overwhelmed, so I made an appointment at the design center with Kendra. There is nothing wrong with the store or merchandise at this store. However, the cashiers are beyond lazy. They will socialize with each other or tend to the telephone while having customers in line. My checkout time just to get the cashier started on my items was over 5 minutes of just waiting for the cashier to start when no one was in line ahead of me. One item would not scan so the cashier asked me to go out on the sales floor and get the SKU number. Wow; lazy does not go far enough. This was when there was no one else in line . I went and got the SKU myself because I wanted to get home before Christmas this year. Again, nothing is wrong with what this store sells. The cashiers have a laid back lazy attitude about things. I will probably just go to a smaller independent flooring material dealer the next time. read more

They have a huge selection and prices are excellent. Staff (especially Jeremy) was very helpful in finding products, loading and unloading heavy tile and supplies. Be aware that this is a no frills warehouse store but all employees were helpful even though very busy. We did end up with one box with several broken tiles. Employees don't care and won't help! Wife and I came to look for new flooring for entire house. Being new to Houston, we bought a "pre-owned" home that mainly needed new floors and a bathroom update. After standing around for about 15 minutes with no employees offering to help, we approached a large Hispanic woman (Amanda?) who was standing near a desk. She told us it wasn't her job to help customers and she only helped contractors!! She sat down at the desk with her headphones on and continued to play with her cell phone. FOR REAL?? We stopped another employees in a red vest who said they were busy and didn't even offer to help us find someone. As we were leaving, we spoke with a dark haired woman who identified herself as the Operations Manager. When we explained our difficulty in finding help, she said, "Oh well, I guess that's how the cookie crumbles." Thoroughly disgusted, we left and bought our product at brand "d". I have left a really bad review for this place before, but I do think the customer service has gotten better. I go straight to the pro desk if I need something now. There are still employees that seem to ignore you when you look like you need something but I have noticed more help in loading and unloading. Mind you my clients and I probably spend over $10,000 here annually so good customer service is expected. They now have a program where purchases equal points that can be used for sport game tickets, gifts, etc. Smart move! Thank you for showing your contractor customers that they are valued. read more

Great selection and good prices, which is the primary reason to go here. The checkout can be really slow, so it would be nice if there were more cashiers. Also, the returns are handled with the normal cashier, which seems very inefficient. We had a little difficulty getting some assistance, but when we did, they were really helpful and got us all the materials we needed. So, prepare yourself for a little wait, but you will have a wide selection to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. read more

Several employees made eye contact with us but only one stopped to see if we needed help and she was very little help and gave us incorrect info. The floors are great, but the service is horrible. I have spoken to Leo (manager), Gerry, and David and very displeased with my service. The store tried to give me scratched product after I purchased it. I found out about it and was very unhappy. David was accommodating by ordering the product and getting it shipped to my home with no extra charge. I called the corporate office and had yet to receive a phone call. I will not recommend this location. I went to the 45 North freeway, and the Cypress location and the customer service at both locations are much better. read more

I went to the Almeda/Gulf Freeway store and had the EXACT experience as Nathan who reviewed also. Then went to the store off Parkhollow and had the same exact experience. Had to hunt someone to help even though many were around and often chatting instead of on the lookout for people needing info. However, one man came by and asked if we had questions and spent time as if we were their only customer and the young man at the register did the same, giving detailed info to every question and adding more info also. Another man we asked about a product seemed like he really didn't want to be bothered and barely answered but gave us a brochure on the product telling us to look at the website. It seems that even though the store had the product to view, they do not sell it. All in all I am satisfied and would recommend the stores. I think the company wants the staff to give great customer service, but certain ones just get by with as little as possible. Kudos to those who are ready to help! read more

They have the worst customer service ever at the Pro Desk (we are working with a contractor). Had to go there twice and each time we were treated like we were an inconvenience for them. This is the worst miss manage store that I have ever been to. I purchased over $8000 in floor tile, and it took 2 1/2 hours to get it loaded. The employees in the loading dock area were just standing around like zombies. No one was working, and they were talking and texting on their phone laughing and joking around. No one seem to be interested in the customer. I had to raise all kinds of crap just to get my tile loaded if I would have known this prior to buying the tile I would have never bought my tile at floor Decore. read more

So I came in not knowing what I wanted. I walked for hours with nobody asking if I needed help. And the little associates that where there were already busy with other people. I was getting more and more stressed until a sweetheart named Ramiro saw me in distress. And came all the way from the pro desk. He was patient. Calm and very kind. Answered all my questions. He helped me with my kids when they were fussy helped me design everything. Made me feel like a friend and not another customer. I have never been treated so kindly at any store. Worst customer service ever.....I bought a pallet of slate panels. I was starting to load them on a cart myself when an associate asked if I needed help. I said that would be great! He told me that they would get a forklift to load it and meet me out back. I paid and went around to the back where I was informed that it would take up to an hour. After waiting 40 minutes for the material to show up and 15 minutes to load, I finally got what would have taken me 10 minutes. I will not be back. read more

I must say it hard to be great in all areas I understand but their customer service is the worst I've seen in any business. Absolutely worst service ever. We purchased 350sq ceramic tile in Humble to pick up at North FWY. First, we waited for over an hour watching others be helped that arrived after us. Then once the 29 boxes arrived and were placed in our truck we noticed right away several were broken. We mentioned this to the lady that was unloading and she said nothing, turn around and walked away. We waited a bit longer in limbo waiting to see if she might have gone to get help. Nothing. Then we had to flag a guy down walking by with a flag that came to look and promptly disappeared to get help so we assumed. Still nothing...now almost two hours into sitting there. One of us had to walk around the building to front doors to ask for a manager. We were told to go back to car and a manager JR would come to us. Then we waited another 25 minutes and still NO manager. The Humble location was so helpful and we were so disappointed and dissatisfied with the service that was not provided for what should have been a fast pick up order that we already paid for. Not only is my wife a blogger but she has ties to lots of community events and connections. We will be making sure that everyone knows how horrible this place treated us. Horrible. read more

This store is absolutely chaotic all the time! Either there aren't enough people staffed to assist the customers in the store, or the ones who are working simply do not want to help. I walked out a couple days ago thinking it was just a weekend thing, and decided to go back this afternoon when the same thing happened. I waited for 20 mins at a design counter and no one showed up. The cashiers called roughly 5 times for assistance, and not even a manager responded. The so called store manager or whoever he was wearing the only black apron on the floor today was rude and completely unwilling to assist me. He passed me off to some newly hired associate after I thought I would finally get some help with the stone I needed. I walked out again today, and will NEVER walk back into another Floor and Decor again! Home Depot down the street gladly accepted my $12k order. They may have charged me 15-20% more than what I would have paid at this store, but it was worth not having to deal with the unprofessional, under qualified, and blatantly disrespectful employees at the 45s and Almeda Genoa location. read more

We ordered 2 pieces of tile samples from Floor & Decor Outlets on November 8 & 9, and today is November 16 (about one week from the date we ordered) nothing has arrived. So I called their customer service I was stunned by what they told me 'they were shipped yesterday' and then I asked her how long will it take to receive them. The woman got impatient stating that it will take about 14 days to receive. Can you believe this kind of JUNK business ??? read more

This place is horrible! They either don't have the product u want in stock or what they have is damaged. For a place that sells in bulk, we had to order several things online or have them delivered from another store. Many of the displays they have mounted are items they no longer sell. Today I went in search of tile flooring and hit the jackpot when Brenda approached me and wanted to help. She showed me tile I hadn't seen that I loved after she showed me a sample of granite for countertops to go with it even though they don't carry it but told me where I could find it, found a great granite tile for the fireplace surround, and fixed me up with the right materials in the right colors to install so all I had left to do was the labor! I might have left empty handed and frustrated if not for her! Brenda knows her stuff and was not only professional but nice! They are very helpful in selling you their product but the loading dock at Floor & Decor on Gulf Freeway has the worse loading dock personnel I've even seen. There is no sense of urgency and it seems very unorganized. My wife purchased the items at 12:30pm & it's 2:30 & I'm still waiting. Maybe customer service depends on when you visit the store? But I was there at 7pm last night and there were no available baskets to be found anywhere. Employees were walking around but no one would give us help. Only 2 registers open and 4-5 people in line. The cashier was very helpful but when she called for help from the back to confirm they had our tile in stock, we waited for several minutes. When help did finally show up, he told us they did not have our tile. We told him we would show him the huge stack of boxes on the floor, of the tile, we wanted and he just disappeared and we were forced to load our tile ourselves, then go back to stand in line, yet again, to check out. My husband and I are in search for laminate wood flooring and went to this Floor and Decor store and a couple of workers were very helpful in giving us information as we know nothing about the different types of laminate flooring available and the pros and cons of each. We were very impressed with the time that one of the workers gave us answering our myriad of questions and showing us the difference and the types of laminate flooring. He informed us that we could purchase samples for $5 and bring them back within 30 days for a full refund. Then the young man that checked us out was very personable and pleasant and helpful as well. This is our second time to utilize this store for flooring and we had a good experience last time as well. read more

this place is horrible!!!! we spent over $2,000 in this place buying floor and they loaded the wrong floor.. we didn't notice until the contractor started putting the floor down...we went back to the store and we were told that there is nothing to do... that it was not their fault that i was the night shift people's fault because the do the pulling... the manager proceeded to tell me that the floor may different because i didn't specify from what lot i wanted? excuse me isn't that your job? and also because i bought cheap floor...and they are not willing to do anything to fix or correct the problem.... read more
