Customers/Contractors Beware: Inspect your purchase before you buy!! We had purchased about $4,000 worth of tile(Ashford classic porcelain 10x60" in soft ash am color and bundled 3 per box). Half of the cardboard boxes were destroyed from the weather(tile was fine). Boxes were drenched and fell apart upon lifting. An entire pallet was this way and made it EXTREMELY difficult to offload by hand. Not sure who to blame. Whether it be the store(Floor and Decor out of Lakeland, FL) or Ashford. If we had known the pallet was in this condition, we would not have accepted it(pallet in blue plastic). We would recommend this store for their product knowledge and assistance. But, we would not recommend this store for loading a product of this expense in this condition. See pics for reference. read more

Looked at shower doors today to purchase. The sticker price stated $599. When we got to the register, the price was surprisingly higher. The two young men assisting us never offered an apology. I stated that they needed to update their stickers. They stated that the stickers were old and the price went up. As a consumer, not my problem. Receipt attached to this review. On 9/20, Michelle from Floor and Decor contacted me to talk about my experience at the store. Michelle was apologetic and kind. I asked them to text me since my phone blocks unknown numbers as spam. They ignored that and called anyway. I made multiple attempts to contact them and reply to their message. Their phone system doesn't allow you to direct dial an extension. I left multiple messages on how to contact me to resolve the issue. Crickets. Pass them by. They recommended a contractor, Marcos Garcia with AR remodeling solutions. He seemed professional at first but after his worker started the job he called me and asked for more money, he quoted the job wrong. At the end of the job I ask him to translate for me to his worker and he refused. He kept blaming his worker but it was not the workers fault at all. Then I asked him to at least tell me where I can buy the piece the worker showed me bec floor and decor didn't have that color, Marcos laughed and hung up. After well over 1000 reviews I'm so stunned that I'm almost speechless! I worked with these fine folks both in person and by telephone and I just sat back and said, "OMG, this is the pinnacle of customer service!" Here is how this deal went down. I needed to retile my outside patio and needed to choose my new tile. My contractor strongly suggested I skip the two big box home improvement stores and go here. It was freaking 50 miles from my home! My contractor said, "Trust me; you'll see why." So off I went and here was this giant plaza and a ginormous store! If it has anything to do with floors, these folks have it. The friendly staff listened to my needs and helped me narrow done my selection. They strongly recommend and make it very easy to purchase a few individual tiles to bring home as samples and that's exactly what I did. I was incredibly impressed with the staff member that assisted me. Once home I made my selection and placed my order by phone including delivery. Once again the folks were wonderful. Within hours I received an email specifically checking to insure my telephone experience was top notch. My tiles were delivered exactly on time by a super friendly guy and within minutes of him leaving my home I received an email checking on my delivery experience. My contractor was correct. Floor and Decor has an enormous selection of stone, tile, hardwood and more. The prices are competitive with others and the service is good. The only problem I have is with their customer service being a little on the inconsistent side. Sometimes the service is very good and other times, well, it's just like the staff doesn't really care. It's been a struggle for everyone this pandemic year, but I found these same inconsistent customer service issues prior to this year on different projects. I would hope that for most people just having a job to go to is a good enough reason to at least act like you like being employed, but that is not true here. As I said, it's hit or miss. What a amazing store! It blows away Lowes and HomeDepot when it comes to customer service and selection of Tile and Flooring. We found some subway tile that's going to look great as out backsplash. The store is set up well. Aisles are wide and again the selection of products is overwhelming. The staff are very helpful from start to finish. Patty at the register was very friendly and even let us know they do free tile classes every Saturday at 2:00pm if we want to learn how to lay tile. Delivery and customer service after sale is terrible. We have 1 missing item so we called store 5 times and was put on hold for 30 minutes each time until it automatically hangs off on me. After all day waiting we finally got a hold with the manager who said he will look into it and call me back. However we never hear back again!! I have been here a couple of times over the last few weeks while doing a remodel of my home. This store is super nice compared to the one in Orlando. My first visit here I was surprised at the difference and the availability of different tile here. The staff here are friendly and available to answer any questions that you may have. We found our selection and ordered the necessary items to install the tile. We ran into problems with the grout that was given to us. The sales person gave us a bucket of the wrong color grout and it ended up on the wall. Needless to say it had to be removed and the store took care of me on the mistake. It took a little extra work for me, but it wasn't bad considering it didn't cost me to fix the mistake. I will be back to get the rest of tile for our project. read more

Done a couple of renovations over the last three years and I have never had a bad experience with Floor and Decor products. I've always used this location as well. At the advice of my contractor, she told me Floor & Decor is the best quality for the price you pay. If you ever lose a receipt or have a return, they keep your purchases on file. Awesome! I especially loved being able to order my tile online and pick up the tile from the back of the store. They had my order on a forklift, drove it as close as they could to my vehicle, and helped me load the tile on my truck. The young lady in the back even offered me a bottled water! I never expected that. I just have one tiny little issue...during my last trip to buy a bench for my shower, a manager opened up a register to help out the one cashier that was dealing with a lengthy return. Instead of telling me (the next person waiting in line) that I can check out in her lane, she summoned the lady behind me. For years I've wanted to replace my whole house carpet with new flooring. I went into Lowes' flooring department and was ignored so I headed to Floor & Decor. I was immediately greeted and asked if there was anything they could do to help. When I said I wanted to purchase tile for my whole house, the cashier called Craig who immediately came to assist. Craig was so helpful! He asked what my plans were and immediately reviewed all of my options. He assisted in picking out the tile, explained the differences in grout and adhesive, and helped set up delivery (which was so reasonable!). I couldn't be happier with my purchase and would recommend Floor & Decor to everyone. When my project was over (I tiled my entire house), I had some material left over. My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a house, we want to upgrade the tile to a different type of flooring. I've always passed this location on my way to class. So one day he met me after class and we went browsing. There was so much to choose from not only from floors but to back splashes, different tiles on the floor, in the kitchens, bathrooms, and even bedrooms. So much of a variety and so many different options to mix and match were unbelievably insane. We still haven't made a final decision because everytime we come in, we end up walking around and get caught up in different options lol customer service is amazing by everyone! We always look confused and there is always someone nearby to answer questions or come to us before we have to even look for someone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company!!! I spent over 5,000.00 for labor and material on 900 sq ft of bamboo. I thought i was buyung high quality flooring. When i started to see chipping after less tgan 6 months, i contacted the store. They told me i had to file a claim and hire an independent flooring inspector. Which i did and paid him $450.00. The report came back that the flooring was defective. Floor and decor didnt accept that report and said the manufacture wants to send out their own people ( I said no, if you want another report then send a different inspector out that is unbiased) they refused. And said they would not help me. So now not only am I out $5,000 I'm also out an additional $450 No it was NOT inconclusive. You obviously did not read the report. read more

He walked me personally through the store pulling a cart, showed me where everything was, helped me with the hard decisions walked me upfront, gave the order to the cashier for accuracy, and helped finalize the transaction. Jenniffer knew her products well. She put in the order spoke with me about delivery options, helped me decide on all the other tasks such as weight to be delivered, trying to do it myself or not, just every detail you could imagine. We initially went to this store about six months ago. We were remodeling our kitchen. We walked around the store for about 45 minutes and not one employee acknowledged us. No one said hi, no one said we will be right with you. We finally found someone to get information and it was painfully obvious that he was not interested in being bothered by us. Needless to say we got out of there and ended up buying our flooring and tile at another store. Now we are redoing the bathroom, so we went to this location again today too see if it was any better. It wasn't. Once again we were not greeted or acknowledged in any way. We walked around for about 45 minutes and there may have been 5-6 customers in and out of the store, but not all at the same time. I went to the Lakeland, Fl. Floor & Décor this past Saturday with plans to buy the tile needed for a bathroom remodel. My husband and I used another location for a previous bathroom remodel and we were pleased with the quality and price. Let me first say, the young lady who helped me was excellent! She was very knowledgeable. I spent about 90 minutes picking out everything I needed, all the way down to the grout and trim pieces. The sales associate who helped me, encouraged me to get a couple extra of the shower floor mosaic pieces to use as fill ins. She said to get the lose ones that had some tears in the mesh and were not in packages and she would discount them at the register. So, I got everything to the register. The same young lady began ringing up my purchases. She needed a manager to discount the 2 extra mosaics. The manager, who later told me his name is Jeremy, came over and when she asked him to discount the pieces, he asked why. She stated they had some damage. He said, they don't look damaged to me! I said, well they are not in boxes. What I really meant was they are loose and tattered, but couldn't think of the right words at the time. His demeanor was very rude and this seemed to upset him. He began to explain that the store doesn't always sell everything in a box. I somewhat jokingly told him a couple dollars off my purchase wasn't that much considering what I was spending. He then countered (I say countered because of his bad attitude) that if Floor & Décor gave everyone a couple dollars off their purchase, they would be bankrupt! I said, I highly doubt that and told him that it was fine, they could keep the extras. He said, okay, we can keep them! By this time, I was extremely upset and shaking! I said, firstly, I never asked for a discount, it was offered and second, you are being very rude! I felt very sorry for the young lady who had been so nice and offered the discount. I paid for my purchase, $1,078. She told me to get my truck and pull up and she and another young man would load it up. I leave with my Mother and I'm so upset and cannot believe how he treated me over a couple dollars!! My Mom says, you know, he was still running his mouth when we walked out! At that point I had had it! I went back into the store and told the associate I wanted to cancel my purchase and get a refund, that I would just go to Home Depot. It was very apparent to me, the other people working there could not believe what had happened and were very apologetic. Jeremy, the "manager" says to me, what can I do to change your mind? I said, one thing you can do is not to be so rude to your customers! He then says, I don't think I was rude!! I said, you are obviously not very self aware! He continued to defend his indefensible behavior! I have never been to a store of any kind and been treated so badly by a person in management. Not only did I waste half a day between traveling to the store and picking out everything, now I have to find everything I need elsewhere. Overall, Floor & Décor has good selection and good prices.
