I have no existing shower floor so I could literally go with anything as long as it complimented the rest of the bathroom. The tile selections are endless. And pricey! But get this, they have a discontinued room. Shhhh. Go in there and maybe show them a picture of what you want and ask if they have anything similar that is discontinued. I was able to get a porcelain tile that retails at $20 a piece for $8 a piece. Score! And the manager is so friendly. He supplied my mom her tile when she built her house years ago and still remembers. He gave me a bag of their grout which doesn't stain or grow mildew. Would definitely recommend Chesapeake Tile & Marble for anyone doing some renovations or new build. You'll find one of a kind tiles that your regular home improvement store won't carry.

Frustrated and amazed at the lack of support by this company I went and found a company (Design House Kitchens) that was amazing and not only got my answer for me but sent the installer out to look at it and give me my answer in person. This, with not so much as a call and an inquiry for this purchase. Having an installer that was familiar with the installation of these hoods could have easily answered this question over the phone, however, Design House Kitchens went the extra step and sent the installer out to make sure the details were clear and the prep. was going to be done right. Steve from Stuart Kitchens Pikesville, however, made me feel like I was asking for top secret information. Too bad he called me back later with an answer he could have put a little effort into when he was asked. Too late by that point. I had already found a company who had GOOD customer service and who appreciated the business! Guess they don't really need the business. Zufar also recommended a cabinet company that was able to provide custom wood cabinets at far less than the cabinets I had been looking at..I felt like this company wanted to do a good job and not upsell me on more than I wanted/ could afford. They tore out abs disposed of existing cabinets and appliances, installed new flooring, lights, repainted everything, installed a tile backsplash, the cabinets, and all new appliances. Even when things went awry, they remained calm and solved the problems. They worked hard to stay on schedule and deliver a beautiful kitchen. They will be my first call next time I need any work done.

All showcase quality IMO. Thus, we've plenty of recent experience with KBS outfit and feel confident in making the highest recommendation. In summary - KBS is not too big nor too small, not too expensive but not cheap, so they were just right for us - average homeowners who seek the very best value. In this regard, KBS was just right. Some highlights........ 1) The crew is experienced and cohesive. They've been together for a good long time. They work well together and we never observed inefficiency. They just work hard all day long. 2) I never had to worry about workers in our home. Honest, polite, professional, kind, and responsive are words I'd use to describe them. 3) Communications were timely and valuable. My advice is to take notes of every communication for reference. In one case we forgot it was our responsibility to acquire an appliance. Uh oh, it was our fault and a written record would have been useful to refer to. Yikes! 4) The budget estimates were honored. there was no bait and switch. Thanks! 7) The crew was OK with our two dogs. I think our doggies missed them when the jobs were done. Final note: The sign of a great contractor is NOT that nothing goes wrong. Rather it is how the contractor responds when something does go wrong. In this regard, KBS took care of problems I was not even aware of, and when I was, they swarmed to make it right ASAP. For example, a quartz kitchen countertop cracked. Surprised. The piece was faulty. The crack was not due to poor installation. We only had to make one call to Dan who took care of it. Easy peasy. No hassles or haggles about responsibility or cost. Perfect. I've a few more impressive examples. So the more work we observed, the more confident we became in KBS. In my life "trust" is earned and hard to achieve in the contracting world. So, it is with pleasure to say KBS was trusted. We'd hire them again whenever we have a future need. Simply excellent!
