This company is the WORST company I have ever dealt with…read more Rude, incompetent, unprofessional, liars, left the job an absolute mess, the laminate cracked in one week, the lead guy, Bruce, was horrible. The worst mistake I have ever made . One star is too good for them.

My local Lowe's contracted their countertop installations to Hallmark Countertops. They were very…read morecourteous when they took measurements and during installation. All very nice guys. It took a very long time to receive our countertop. But, that's probably normal in this day and age of COVID19. So, it is what it is. When the countertop arrived, the sink hole was cut in the wrong location. So, it went back to the shop. They offered to take my new sink with them, for measurement and they'd also install it for me. 2 weeks, they said. Cool. Remember these details for later. When they left, my kids found a screw in the driveway where their truck was parked. This happens so often with contractors, I wonder why all of them don't sweep your driveway with one of those magnetic sweeps. It took a lot longer than 2 weeks, but again COVID.  Their appt was scheduled for 11-2, they arrived around 2:30. But, the countertop was gorgeous. So they put it down and start screwing it in. I asked them to apply liquid nails first. They should have done this automatically. Then, they forgot to bring my sink back. I called the owner and he said "I don't know how I'm gonna get it to ya". It's a Friday. About 4 pm when they finally leave. Since I wanted to have a sink over the weekend, I drove to his place, 45 minutes away, to pickup my own sink (they refused to install it like they said they would, and said it would have been a 'courtesy', like they were doing me a favor). So I get home to install it, and discover parts are missing. The parts (bolts, nuts, clips) were wrapped in the instructions (can you say 'rip'?). They sure weren't like that when they took the sink. Two clips were missing. Let's recap: a long wait for my counter, a bad cut, they promise to install my sink, another long wait, they were very late, they try to take short-cuts and don't install the liquid nails, I had to spend 45 minutes of my time and gas money to pickup my own goddam sink from their office, only to find they some of the parts which sent me out to several hardware stores looking for something similar. A fair dealer would provide some discount as a good business practice. No discount, but I did get a great big smile when the owner told me the promise to install the sink was a 'courtesy'. Even. though. they. didn't. But, and here's what makes this all ok. They gave me a tube of DAP white kitchen and bath caulking. I was so excited. What a great bunch of guys.

She really listened to what we wanted, shared great ideas, and helped pull everything together beautifully. The crew always showed up on time, kept things tidy, and kept us in the loop along the way. Anytime we had a question, they were quick to respond and happy to help. Kudos to Project Manager Chris and his team! Our kitchen looks amazing and works so much better for our everyday life, and the bathroom feels like a little retreat. We've already gotten tons of compliments! We'd absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking about a kitchen or bath remodel. Great work, great people, and results we truly love.

To construction- Rob, he was so helpful, caring, & dedicated to his craft. Meticulous & very detail oriented, friendly, & pleasant as well. To the electric & plumbing contractors- great work & willing to adjust to our needs. To Chris, who oversaw it all & helped with our seriously awkward fridge/room opening situation! They all function like a well oiled machine. So thankful we trusted our gut & went with this company. Thank you O'Hanlon a million times over for giving us the kitchen of our dreams!

Jesse designed a beautiful bathroom and David and his crew were excellent - very friendly and professional. It is obvious that everyone who works at D'Fine cares about the customer and we really love how the bathroom turned out. We highly recommend D'Fine Design and Build.

We spent…read morea lot of time with Tanya going over the design and mostly wound up where we wanted to be. I agree with the other 3 star review person. None of the workers doing the construction work for Dfine. In fact one of them told us no habla ingles, indicating he only spoke Spanish. Highly suggest you find any other firm to do the actual construction. I've never had an issue with Brothers Services or Tim Kyle Electric. If you want the job done right you need a firm that has employees who are vested in the project results and speak English. Dfine's use of contractors that don't work for Dfine is a mistake from the outset. We had delays and eventually had to negotiate a final payment since not all work contracted for was completed or some services were overpriced after checking with other firms. And some work for which I requested a quote so I could check with another firm was simply done without providing a quote for which I had to pay extra for. And Ahmet, while an owner, was never a project manager. In fact there was no project manager watching over daily work. Allied Remodeling at least offers that, where one of the owners reviews the daily work and any communications. I did eventually outsource some of the work to trusted firms like Tim Kyle and Anderson Windows. Did I pay more? Yes. Did I get the work that I expected? Yes. If Dfine somehow convinces you to go with their work crew, insist that David is the primary person who deals with the work. Still not a project manager, but a cut above the rest of what they have to offer. Anyone else is a joke. The design work done by Dfine was thoughtful. The construction could have been much better. And a word about what you think you want. Marble on any part of the remodel looks great. It is however cold as hell to the touch. In the kitchen during winter the counter tops are always cold. And try backing into a cold wall in the shower. It can be shocking. You may want to consider alternatives. There are plenty of firms that can get work done in a day without using marble. My upgrade from the 1960s was better than it was. Not perfect.
