The first quote we got was from a reputable Texas company but the BASIC cost, no-frills, "cookie cutter" option was $12-13,000. Yes, there are THREE zeroes. Not happening. When we walked into F&D I'll admit, it was absolutely overwhelming. Sensory overload. Too many options doesn't begin to describe this place! We decided to meet with a designer there and get some help. As great luck would have it, we got Johnathon. He started with our basic preferences and built on them. Just, wow. Professional, personable, and more than helpful. The entire process was smooth, he made it easy to understand and provided excellent guidance toward our next steps. We got the info for their recommended installation team and were very impressed by those folks as well. (Big shout out to Sergio and Gisell--you guys are the best ) On a different note, now that we are "regulars" in F&D, we want to mention how impressed we are with two other team members. We had ten incredibly heavy boxes of flooring to load today. Out of the blue, Sebastian and his trainee, Isaac, jumped right in, loaded every single box onto our cart, went to the checkout with us and then loaded our vehicle. Thank you so much! I went to Floor & Decor today, and while I was there, I knew I needed help. I looked around for someone, but all I could see was this young man who is very busy. I asked if he could get me some help, and he said sure. he immediately stopped what he was doing and asked what did I need. I was looking for this special tile but it look like they were out of it. He picked up the his phone and checked the computer to see if there was any of the tile left in the store, to my luck there's still was. He told me to wait at the spot we were at and he would look in the back to see if you could find it. Within 10 minutes he had the tile. He also assisted me in getting the grout and the glue needed to complete the job. He walk with me up to check out and then to my car. As he was loading my car he notice that one of the bags had a hole in it. I had placed a blanket in the car to keep it from getting dirty. He then took the bag out that had the hole and clean up the mess on the blanket.Most people would not do this, they would just say whoops. What I didn't expect was he said let take this bag back and get you a discount. I have never been treated with such respect and kindness. When I was in done, I left with $24 less on my bill. I visited Floor Decor on July 12, 2021. They have such a large selection and reasonable pricing. I went in looking for tile for a shower I am remodeling. I had no idea what I was doing. I found a tile that I liked and stopped a young man who was pushing a cart down the isle. I asked him if I could use that tile for my shower. His name is Dorrian. I really struck gold when I found Dorrian. He was a wealth of knowledge and so polite. Once I choose the tile for the floors he suggested we go find a matching tile for the shower floor and seat I am having installed. Once I made that decision he suggested I take home the two samples to make sure that is what I wanted in my bathroom. Which I didn't know I could do. Then he told me when I came back someone who knew about matching the grout with my tile could help me. Before we went to Floor Decor we visited another tile store. We were the only two customers in the store and not one employee spoke to us or offered any help. I highly recommend Floor Decor for you tile and floor covering needs. If you you can get Dorrian to help you that would be an added bonus. Although there were many helpful staff members there. read more

I haven't decided to purchase from Floor & Decor yet because I'm still in the "price comparison" stage. However, I wanted to give a shout-out to an employee, Brenda Hernandez, who is definitely tipping the scales in their favor. Building a house, we have a lot of decisions to make between tile (ceramic or porcelain?), hard wood, and laminates. I walked into the store with a big question mark over my head, and Brenda took control! She explained the pros and cons of each selection and was extremely patient. She walked all over the store showing samples of what would and wouldn't work in certain situations, and the fact that she doesn't work on commission was a huge plus. I could actually TRUST everything she told me. If the price turns out to be competitive, I will certainly purchase from this store, thanks to their brilliant sales staff. The store was bright and inviting, and there were plenty of people on-hand to help. Unlike the other big box stores, I found the expertise here worth the visit! We've been here before. We have done some remodeling and additions to homes. They have a wide variety of options and styles. The prices are great too! It's always pleasant, people are helpful. You are greeted nicely when you walk in. In the past, nothing unforgettable. This last time we went... was a different experience. We had been looking around for a bit, undecided on whether to go with vinyl or stick to laminate flooring for our addition. Rebel, the associate, comes over and asks if we needed anything. We let him know what we were debating about and he really went into so much detail and explained the difference between the floorings and what may be a better option for us. Even down to describing the benefits of the color options! Rebel was extremely helpful and professional! His communication skills are excellent and we were able to make our decision. Everyone at this store was amazing and very helpful. I left from another floor & decor a new store because of the bad service including the manager many of the employees were not knowledgable and 5 employees stood at counter while I asked for help and just looked at each other while I asked for help and ignored me and kept on talking to each other. So I left and went to this location and from the moment I walked into this store we were greeted with friendly faces. Alex and Manager Anthony C. were very helpful in getting us what we needed and went above and beyond to find out which other stores had what we needed in stock that they did not. They both answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable with the products. These two fine men definitely need recognition in being such great employees. Thank you for the ultra exceptional assistance provided to me by Nehsta, wood specialist and Valentin, wood department manger! I needed some help in locating some tile products and spied Nahsta stocking shelves. When I called out to him he immediately gave me his full attention with a smile! He helped me locate the products I needed and checked the availability of the product when we couldn't locate a sufficient amount on the shelf. We saw a beautiful display of the Vita Bella Polished Porcelain tile and we were so captivated with the display that we both immediately knew what we wanted to purchase to make our Master Bath a beautiful creation. Our first visit here and honestly walking in seemed overwhelming!! Then Stephenie came to the rescue!! She was so pleasant, patient and helpful! She literally spent over an hour helping us as we changed our mind numerous times! She checked stock in back and even called Austin! She answered EVERY question! We're in the middle of a bathroom remodel from hell, and it was time to purchase the tile we'd picked out. Trying to figure out how many boxes we needed a super nice and extremely helpful employee named Armando S came to our aid. This dude knew what was goin on. We were about to load over 1000 pounds of tile on a cart and he suggested to let them pull it and Palletize it and load it for us shouldn't take to long. We said alright let's do it. Armando was super patient and suggestive and since we are oblivious to what we were doing he walked us around the store compiling our order and suggested items to put it all together. We visited this location ( store 119 ) on 11/03/23. In to buy hardwood flooring for our new house and we were helped by the best team! This store didn't have the amount we needed, so Gloria H., Angel and Julian worked the phones to other locations and dug through flooring boxes helping us get everything we needed. When I made the mistake of giving them the incorrect sku to begin with, they were very patient until I figured out what I really needed! They were professional, funny and took the time we needed to locate what we needed. So once again, extremely helpful! A+++ for Floor and Decor in San Antonio. Our first visit to this huge store and we crossed paths with "Rita". I can not say enough positives about our interaction with her. Rita was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. She gave us suggestions and input on different tiles as well as backsplash for our soon to be completed barndominium home. If you want great customer service, please ask for Rita!! (That gal rocks). Also wanted to add that Sable/manager was just as friendly and insightful. I shopped at this store about a week ago, and it is my first time purchasing tile for my bathroom - I did not know where to start. I came in about 30 minutes before closing and Raul helped me by showing me the various tiles and answering all of the questions I had. Raul also explained the best materials to use for my particular use. The store was closing, so he told me when he was working the following day. When I returned Raul helped me finalize everything I needed and went above and beyond in contacting the Houston store to get a product that I really wanted. Nehsta Reyes bent over backwards to help my husband and I . We are building a new home and needed 3,400 square feet of a flooring that was on clearance. There was not nearly enough flooring left in the San Antonio store so Nehsta searched every store in the US and was able to gather every bit they had in multiple stores and arrange for either pick up or delivery to get what we needed. I was in the store yesterday and was told I have to wait a couple hours before they can load my car with the tile I needed because the forklift was tied up. I asked for a manager to help me out as I live an hour away and Alex came along. He was so personable and helpful and took on the task himself of making sure I was taken care of in a timely manner. He got my car loaded up immediately. Alex was personable, polite and attentive to my request. Great customer service.
