I have consigned items with this store over the years, usually with good results. However recently, I had a very disappointing situation with them. As they requested, I contacted them via email with descriptions and pictures of the items I wanted to consign. I was told they would respond in a few days. So I waited over a week and called them. I was told to resend the info. She would call me to confirm. So, again I waited. The next day I called to follow up. I was told that the email was received and a response could be expected in a few hours. I NEVER HEARD BACK, no email, no phone call! I deserved some type of response. If they couldn't take it, fine....but let me know. There is no excuse for treating your customer with such disrespect! I'm not inclined to sell or buy from this business again! read more

This is the BEST furniture store in town. You can get everything from modern & designer items straight out of the box to unique vintage & antique pieces. The prices are about 50-70% OFF of retail, which is hard to beat. You have to move quickly because what you see is what you get, everything is consigned by everyday people or company buyouts, meaning you can't order more. This makes it a super fun treasure hunt!! The store is LOADED. The staff is super helpful and style-minded. You can also make some cash by bringing in your furniture & home decor to sell. Wow! What a store!! Been going around to various furniture stores and this consignment center was better than going into new furniture stores lol There was incredible art, several collections, cool couches and interesting chairs, antiques, modern pieces. Their prices are right in line with the quality of products they have con display. Many items are well priced, and seems some sell rather quick too. Staff is friendly and available to answer any questions. I want to go back and scope some of the wooden pieces and art work that was superb! read more

Need cool, gently used furniture? This is the place! Gotta decorate your pad? Check this place out. They've got this place jammed to the gills with furniture. You have to weave your way past the credenzas and ottomans to check things out, like a maze of funky furniture. You gotta go through the whole maze of dressers and nightstands to see everything, since there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how they've got things in there. Be sure to check out the art! They've got some really large scale works of art that'd look swell over your fireplace or above your bed. It's a pretty eclectic collection! Their prices were surprisingly good for what they have. I checked some online prices of the items new, and the prices were fairly priced for used. They also sell some jewelry at the counter up front, which is also under consignment, I suppose. Huge Selection, But Know What You Are Buying My visit here was part of a four store furniture hunt for a few pieces for my clients. This was my first visit. Overall, the huge amount of inventory is a great plus. Plenty of styles to choose from including large pieces of furniture down to the small accent pieces. However, buyer beware. The prices are definitely on the high side for the value. A lot of the furniture is more modern at the core, so you are rarely buying a piece made of 100% wood. Its okay, but at the right price. Many shoppers, I image, wouldn't care as they will toss the items to Goodwill in a few years anyway. Condition is also an issue. We spotted two items which we passed on. First, a lovely Pottery Barn side table for $99. It had a few imperfections. After looking up a similar piece at Pottery Barn for $119 in new condition, we would rather have the perfect brand new one. We also spotted two blue reclining wing chairs priced at $249 for the pair. Both had signs of wear and one was a bit loose and wobbly. After taking stock of the condition, even at $200 they were a bit of a stretch. This is a great store to furnish your house and can be a wonderful one stop shop. BUT, spend a little time researching what you are buying. Be prepared to pay at the higher end of the value price range. read more

I use to shop here often and have bought a lot lot of unique items here. But today one of the guys who helps move furniture felt compelled to tell me how to wear my mask. It's so easy to loose a customer for life. I'm not going to spend my money at a business that feels like they can shame their customers because they don't wear their mask "properly". read more

Awesome selection, helpful staff, good store policies. Prices vary, jewelry is generally overpriced and furniture can often be found cheaper on Craigslist/OfferUp/ Facebook etc. That being said, this is way easier and I don't have worry about going to a strangers house or meeting them somewhere strange. They will negotiate on prices, so do some research and negotiate politely. Worst they can do is say no! read more

Very cool store! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about shipments. They had a very decent selection of furniture for some very reasonable prices. I was told they get shipments of furniture from model homes so these items are barely used, if not perfect, near perfect condition and a very nice quality. Neat furniture and home accessories shop at The Rim. They have new items too! Some new items are from model homes and some are from designer closeouts. I bought a gorgeous dining table and linen slipcovered chairs that is brand new and beautiful!! I get so many compliments! If you tell the sales staff what you are searching for they will call you if something matching comes in! Everyone working at the store is very helpful and friendly. You're more likely to find the "good stuff" if you check in frequently because inventory changes rapidly. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go to browse for furniture additions for my home. The inventory is always changing, which is a good and bad thing. This is to be expected for this type of store. It appears as though they are very picky on the items they choose to sell because it is all good quality. The prices are determined by the seller so some are very good and some are a bit out of left field. The staff is very courteous and there has never been any pressure in the dozen or so times I have been in. Home Consignment Center in San Antonio has a beautiful inventory of new, gently used and consignment furniture. I purchased a gently used leather couch, loveseat and coffee table and I love them! I got so much more for my money than I would've elsewhere. This store always has good quality pieces and interesting things. The staff ranges from polite to awesome just depending on how long you spend talking with them. Why go to any other store that charges about 2-3x what this place has an stores on a regular basis. So happy to have this place close by; albeit, even if it isn't close to you, you need to make a habit of coming out at least one a month to once a quarter to see the great selections, prices and take back some great new furnishings. A coworker told me about this place and I am glad she did. It is neat to see furniture that doesn't look 100% like everyone else's furniture showroom. A good way to find some character for your house without old ratty thrift junk. They have nice second hand items at pretty good prices and will even negotiate a little if the item has been around awhile. I've been to other consignment places and it's usually really used furniture, but here the used furniture looks amazing , seriously you can't tell it is used ! They do some some new items too at a great price , there was a sofa that I have seen at Macy's inside this store for a WAY better price than Macy's had it for ! Staff is friendly and asked me if I had any furniture that I was interested in consinging, to be honest I hadn't thought about it but I have some stuff in my garage I wasn't using , so why not make some money right ? They scheduled me for a free preview where someone comes to my home and takes a look at my furniture and will let me know what price they will sell it for , and then someone can pick it up, and I just get a check in the mail when it sells .... seriously how awesome ! I don't have to worry about dealing with people from Craigslist, that I don't know , coming into my home, or Craigslist people trying to bargain with me . This warehouse is packed to the gills with stuff, some of which is quite reasonably priced while other items will set you back a couple of thousand dollars. Ok to be honest the first 2 visits were lovely , people working were attentive and friendly and there truly is a ever changing wide variety of things to look at , however today was not pleasant at all . No one greeted me or my son (19yrs- so no not an unruly toddler ) and in fact one overly blonde and tanned employee rushed up behind me , and my son swears she said " move " I said no it must have been a hurried , harsh "excuse me" he swears it was "move " he was upset , but I just said maybe she is having a bad day . We continued to walk around and I had considered making a purchase so I stood and looked around and they never made eye contact or in fact acknowledged we were in the store . We did hear one lady at the counter greet an elderly couple , so maybe it was my perfume :) I had loved this place and would like to have given it 5 stars, this has just tainted my view and though I might recommend it ? After a lengthy and very positive phone conversation with Rhonda we were told, after we'd already taken the piece apart and driving it across town for consignment, that there'd been a "communication problem" and that they not only would not offer it for the price that Rhonda told us but that they didn't really want it at all. They were unpleasant to deal with (despite a very apologetic call back from Rhonda, probably to avoid a review like this one).
