Very rude management and staff have no clue why they are working there. Every time they make sure they do worst customer service ever. Purchased some tiles and they called another location and I paid for my tiles to be sent over. Was told next day and that was two weeks ago. Called store and a rude manager told me two weeks. No reason given even though store is one hour away. I don't understand how they stay in business? someone from store contacted me today saying my tiles might be on this weekend truck. If not two more weeks till next delivery. And their headquarters not contacting me at all. Seems they don't care either. read more

This review is entirely based on working with an amazing employee, Calvin. He was incredibly patient with me and helped answer all my questions. We were doing a house remodel and ended up with an order of marble that was not to our liking. I was under a time crunch to find a new selection. He answered my many questions, showed me multiple options, was incredibly knowledgeable about the various marble options, and stuck with me for almost two hours while I made decisions. I ordered tile online at 10:06a. Arrived at the store at 1p. They have no record of my order. They call customer service and use the confirmation number. Yes, they have received my order. The credit card has been charged. However, customer service has not released my order to the store yet! Three hours! Starting my 2nd hour of waiting. Spoke with "Jim," the manager. He called customer service. After waiting for another 10 minutes he gets off the phone and says, "They are trying to find out what is wrong with your order. You will just have to wait." I ask to just cancel the order. He replies it cant be cancelled until it's processed. I know that's BS. I leave the store. I call customer service and get Stephanie. I explain the situation. She gets the order number and puts me on hold. She returns 5 minutes later and tells me the order was pushed through to the store over an hour ago after the 1st person called customer service!?! WHAT THE WHAT?! She cancelled my order. The call was recorded. I explained in detail what and asswipe the manager is. Floor and Decor lost a customer today. I will GLADLY PAY MORE FOR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never again will I order anything from this store. read more

This review is for the Leesburg VA store. A shout out to cashier Laurie and manager Jackie W, both providing excellent customer service. I attempted to return leftover unused tile still in the packaging, but I was beyond the "90 day" requirement, due to delays in my reno. The computer rejected the return, and even a store credit due to the rigid policy. Jackie was willing to "step outside the box" and not let a computer tell her how to handle a customer transaction. I appreciated her humanity and ability to think for herself how to respond to my situation. Compassion and a simple override of the computer made my day as she granted me a store credit. Managers like Jackie make people more likely to return to the store as opposed to go elsewhere. read more

He not only helped select the correct materials and calculate math to ensure I had the right amount but he also opened an additional register to check me out and loaded the materials into my vehicle. His customer service was exceptional! The excellence and humility that I experienced from Joseph's customer service is the reason I'll come to Floor & Decor as my first choice. Yesterday (Sunday - 10/23/2016 - 11am) was my first time at Floor and Decor, I had a great experience. The manager on duty was friendly and responsive when I ask him a question (I pumped into him). He offered me a discount for opened box tiles. I forgot to get the name but it was a Caucasian older male with glasses. After some work, I need additional tiles and come back today (Monday 10/24/2016 - 8pm). The manager on duty (an African American) ignored me when I asked for a discount on opened box tiles. In addition, he was rude and spoke with a demanding tone, like I was his underling. He told me that they sell tile piece by piece and there would be no absolutely no discount unless they are damaged. I told him some of the pieces has drawing and color faded but he didn't care to listen and walked away. Also, a cashier asked him for help but he snapped at her. Since I need the tile badly for our contractors to continue their work, I purchased it anyway. This review isn't about the discount but how can this guy even become a manager in the first place? If you hate your job so much then you should quit and find something else. I would not come back here due to this manager. read more

Very disappointed! While there were several associates on the sales floor to help us, one couldn't answer our questions (but did call somone else over), another tried to give us the hard sale on another, more expensive product. Finally, the last associate said that he would pull our order and meet us at the pick up area in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we are still waiting. Went inside to check on the order and it had not been pulled. Meanwhile, a gentleman that had checked out behind us is being helped and his order is being loaded. Now they bring the loads out with a forklift. Instead of dropping the other order and going in to get ours, the forklift driver sits there waiting for the order to be loaded into the guy's truck and then goes in to get ours. The so called manager inside can't find the ticket they have you sign saying that your vehicle is suitable to haul the items (ours was - a Suburban!) and expected us to wait while she scurried around. We had our receipt, loaded the rest of our order and left. We discovered that the insurance adjuster (we had a flood - the reason for new flooring) had underestimated our order. We went online to order the additional flooring. The first time we went to check out, we got an error stating the order had not gone through. Went through the checkout process again and got a confirmation screen Now, the website states that your order will be pulled in two hours. The confirmation email that we received said not to come to the store until you receive an email stating that your order is ready. Since I work closer to the store, I was hopng to go after work to pick our order up. After four hours and not receiving an email stating that the order was ready, I went home. Once I arrived home, I called the store. At first, they could find no record of my order. Then they transferred me to the warehouse and they stated that they had just pulled my order (still no confirmation email). I finally received a confirmation email the next day almost 24 hours after I placed the order (and after I had already picked up the order.) I also decided to check my bank account. Guess what - I had been charged twice for the order! So they tell me to call the ecommerce number and all operators are busy but if you leave a number, they will call you within an hour. I finally get through and am told that the second charge will reverse in 48 to 72 hours. So I am without that money until then - even though they admitted that sometimes their system does this. I am also told that if I am concerned, I can call my bank about it. Still no refund after 72 hours so I call my bank. Bank says that they will open a claim but that it can take up to 10 days to settle claim! But my bank removed both charges within 24 hours and then the correct charge was processed. All in all, this entire process took seven days. I now have to return two items (one of which was open when I picked it up. I did have the manager make a note on the receipt that it was open when picked up and that it was ok to return.) Hopefully, I will not be back to write a negative review on the return process. So was it worth it? Not really sure that it was. When I have to take into account the travel time and the time and hassle it took to pick up our first order and then correct the double charge on our second, I don't think it was worth it. read more

I ordered some flooring and was told it would take about a week to come in to the store. After about 10 days, I called and was then told it was a special order item and would take over a month longer. A sales rep tried to tell me it must have be a returned item that they don't normally carry that I ordered. I had to remind her that we picked the flooring from a display in the store (so it wasn't just laying around as a returned item). They were apologetic, but really had not clue or control over when the flooring would arrive. I canceled the order and will not shop with F&D again. read more

They simply look and turn their heads. The checkout was even worse. Two cashiers working on a Saturday while the others congregate by the entrance. We really want to give a shout-out to Floor and Decor in Woodbridge, VA, and especially Margaret. Without her, I don't think we would be starting our bathroom remodel after months of trying to put our colors, tile, grout, trim, etc. together. We never knew it was such a process. I wish we had made our appointment with her at the beginning. She is just wonderful. Also, all the staff is polite and helpful. We will be using them again for our smaller bath. If you are buying natural stone tile, beware. This place sells seconds regardless of their claims. The advice and design help is spotty at best, customer service is hit or miss. Just hope your installer knows the compatibility of products (grouts for certain tiles, sealers, etc.) and all other tricks of the trade. Sadly, mine did not, which left me with badly stained tile and grout after the leaves began to fall. It looks awful and I don't know what to do about it. I can't speak to their other products, but their natural stone is inconsistent in color and cut. You will not be happy with it. read more

There was plenty of employees to help us with products throughout the store. When we needed help with an installation another employee pointed us in the right direction to their on site installation service. So far we have had a very pleasurable experience with this establishment. They have ALOT of selection throughout the store for half the price offered at home depot / lowe's. We'll see how their estimate compares to other companies installation prices, but the gentleman that helped us out (Jason) to schedule the estimate was friendly and informative to what we needed. read more

This was the best experience I have ever had. Customer service as a whole is horrible lately in ALL industries. Today we walked into Floor & Decor almost blind in with our decisions for a Master bathroom, wood flooring for the house, half bath and kids bathroom. Cameron (Cameron Ford) walked us through so many tiles and wood flooring for all rooms. His professionalism through ALL of our decisions (which were A LOT) was outstanding! We just lived him! We've spent thousands of dollars in this store and have yet received the service any costumer should receive. The manager John lacks in qualities a person of management should obtain. I did not know John was the manager until he told the rep that was assisting me that he could NOT help her conduct a search to match my tile! This was the second time I've encountered with John. Thankfully another rep by the name of Dorris did everything in her efforts to help me and quickly matched my tile. The Floor and Decor near my Fort Lauderdale home is 5 star store so by no means is this a company issue although I will be reaching out to higher management. We avoid going to this location as much as possible due to the quality of service and will no longer deal with the extra miles to be treated respectfully. read more

I simply love this store! My wife and I are pretty handy, but had never done tile before. We attended one of their Saturday classes, then linked up with Colleen who helped guide us through replacing our bathroom tile floor. It went so well, that I tore out the shower. We used their decoration lady (who was super awesome) to help us design our new shower. I spent some time on YouTube learning more about tiling a shower, and went to work. I can not believe how great it turned out! We went to ikea for a new vanity, medicine cabinet and faucets - and completed our complete renovation for about $3000. We had multiple estimates for $25k! The folks at FND were excellent, and I love how easy returns are! Keep up the great work folks- I love your store, unbelievable prices, extensive products, and helpful staff!! Horrible customer service. My contractor ordered flooring through the Potomac Mills store to be delivered. When there was a problem with the scheduled delivery, the store was not only completely unhelpful but we were actually told, "another company handles delivery, it is not our fault, there is nothing we can do" When I suggested that perhaps the store could make ONE PHONE CALL on my behalf to perhaps assist in getting the delivery done, I was told, "we don't do that, it will not help" Seems clear that once they have the money in hand, they no longer care about helping the customer. The delivery company ended up being quite accommodating but through no help of Floor & Decor. They simply don't care. read more

We had a delivery scheduled for today. The original window they gave us was between 9am-1pm. They called and said the delivery is changed to 11am-3:30pm. It is now 7pm and STILL we have not gotten the delivery!!! We called them numerous times. Being passed around. They couldn't get in touch with their delivery guy, he isn't answering his phone. Worst customer service period. These people's incompetence and lack of consideration has run us over the entire DC metro area trying to pick up materials that we had already paid for. First, they said they were in one location. We get there and they don't have the specified amount. We then head out to another location where they promised that they had more than we needed. We get there, and they couldn't find them. Two days later, rather than them calling us as promised, we called them to inquire about the status. Once again, they assure us that they have found them and that we could come way out to Woodbridge to pick them up. We get to Woodbridge a 2nd time, and of course, contrary to what they had told us, the tiles weren't the right ones. The SKUs didn't even match!! Mind you, the upon the first visit, the Manager Ed told us when they found the tiles, they would ship them to us as a courtesy for our trouble. Unfortunately, this was also not true. They reneged on this once the tiles had allegedly been found in their store. They said they would charge us $160 to ship them or we could come get them. Naturally we were upset by all the running around, wasting of our gas and time, but also for the outright lies we were told every step of the way. Managers have it in their power to make courtesy adjustments, and this is most certainly a case that more than warranted it, yet management failed to honor their wo read more

My wife and I undertook a major renovation of our townhouse and decided to use Floor & Décor for our tile and flooring needs. The staff was always extremely helpful, especially Gregory who was instrumental to us finishing our project correctly with the proper materials. At each point he assisted us in comparing similar materials and pricing everything out to help us find what we needed for a cost we could work with. We ended up choosing a Taun wood. The bathroom is a combination of marble and ceramic. After major purchases (which could not fit in my VW Jetta) they allowed me to hold the purchase there for my contractor to pick up at a later time. I should also note that they always took back excess product. I returned a number of unused tiles and multipole boxes of wood, no problem. Really great place and will be using them again if and when I have another project. read more

We just won't go there anymore. On two occasions we have purchased items and found upon checking out that we were charged more than the designated amount that was on the item. In addition we purchased some boxes of flooring to check the color and were told that they had plenty in stock and that there was no danger of them running out. You can guess the end of this tale. While in VA during hurricane Florence, decided to work on a tile project for our home in NC. Had looked in several tile stores in NC but wasn't finding what I wanted. I walked in and within 5 minutes of walking around had several tiles catch my eye. A manager greeted me and connected me with one of their designers. Dayna was her name. She was very knowledgeable, asked me questions that helped her guide me. We did come up,with a plan. I needed some additional measurements. Dayna did a preliminary quote based in what info I had. We agreed I'd come back the next day with all measurements, When I returned the next day, quote was revamped, purchase was made and I had all products loaded in my car in about 45 minutes. Dayna was awesome and made sure I had enough product since I was traveling to NC...the nearest store is 4 hours away from me in NC. Thanks Dayna!!!! Job well done!!! read more

I can't say thank you enough to Jim and Arely. Arely assisted me and my dad with finding a granite counter top. She was so lovely and took her time to help us get what we wanted. We were on a tight budget, and she mentioned to us about the slabs of granite in the back. We were able to find a broken granite top that met our size expectations. However, we couldn't find the price for the slab. Jim, the store manager, stepped in to assist us, and he went above and beyond my expectation! I can't stress how helpful and kind he was! Floor and Decor has been my go to for flooring and tile home improvements. The customer service has always been great. That is until yesterday, Saturday July, 18th. While shopping for supplies for a major bathroom my husband and I became alarmed by the number of customers allowed to enter the store and shop without "State Mandated" face coverings, potentially endangering the health of store employees and customers. There was no manager to be found, so we asked another employee what the protocols were for customers entering with out masks. The employee advised "nothing and the manager won't do anything about it because he rarely wears a mask himself". With that said, I've spent several thousand dollars in this store and at this point I'm considering taking my business elsewhere. Maybe another location where they care about the health and welfare of customers and employees as well as adhere to state law. So sad and disappointed! read more

Oddly enough this is a compliment to their staff. I was told my order was ready but they could not find the last 2 pieces, Larry Eckert and Jim Sassin could not have been nice or more helpful. The did everything they could to locat the pieces which had been accidentally misslabled, they called me immediately when they were located, and had them shipped to my house. I went down on Wednesday to pick up tiles for my two bathroom remodels. The one flooring was in stock, but I had some hesitation on the second flooring because it was not anti-slip because it was going to placed in my grandmother's bathroom. Enter John, the most helpful associate I have ever the pleasure of meeting. I was in front of the original flooring, a nice marble, when I asked for his opinion on what tile would he recommend for someone who's older and that would prevent slipping. He quickly led me away from the marble, citing that very few of heir marble is honed, but to go for a travertine or a ceramic tile. We ended up in the ceramic section, with John showing an interest in my project asking the color scheme, my preferences, and after the decision was made, loaded in the cart. After I made the purchase, he then proceeded to load the tile in my semi-compact car (which I did not have the foresight to rent a truck), without any grumbling about having to do it. John even told me to be careful because of the added weight in the trunk would cause the rear of my car to be lower than normal. In conclusion, I highly recommend Floor & Decor not only for the great prices but also for the helpful staff. read more
