The house is tired and looking a bit dated. Built in 1986, we had updated our kitchen, but the rest of the house needed a lift. Our contractor recommended we go to Floor & Decor in Woodbridge. First thing you notice...it is HUGE! Too many choices, too big a space. Bring a compass and a bottle of water, maybe a walking stick and wear comfortable shoes. If they don't have it, it is possible that no one does. How many shades of "gray" are there? Wasn't a book written on this? (Hint: More than 50). On our first visit, the store's operations manager April saw us lost amongst the laminates and vinyls. She gave us a quick tour, offered some advice, and pulled over "G" (he goes by G) and left us to it. G listened to our desire to replace floors in the basement, main and second floors and all our concerns and likes. He focused in what we thought we wanted, and with his patience we eventually found the flooring we needed. Along with quarter-round, transition pieces, underlayment and etc. Our second visit was for the master and 2nd bathrooms. This time we met with a design specialist, Imee. She looked at our pictures and our measurements and drawings, and then walked us through our color choices. On line we had seen "spa glass blue" and a vanity we liked for the second bath. For the master, my wife said "I like green". From these simple starts we bought tile, flooring, a vanity, edging, grout. Imee brought it all together, working with us to visualize our projects. Such projects are stressful enough. But the people at Floor & Decor were great to work with, so that we were confident in our decisions. If I can, I will add photos at a later date so you can see the results. 5 stars, would definitely recommend and will definitely shop there again. read more

Service was excellent. The on-sight decorator (Regina, Woodbridge VA location) was simply awesome. Their manager Karla was terrific as well. The selections were poor at best, every item except the flooring and shower tiles was either on back order or discontinued. Even the floor tile we did selected was discontinued, but we were able to secure enough for our project. The vanity we selected and ordered was delayed, so we had to look for another vendor. The new vendor vanity was delivered in less than a week. Eventually the vanity we originally ordered did come in, but not until our bathroom was complete. Lastly, the value was very reasonable, and the only complaint I had was availability of product. Next time we would wait until all my items were on site before beginning the renovation. That said, I would certainly use them again. read more

I went back to floor and decor in Woodbridge only because they had matching tile from my last purchase, and I needed more. I loaded the tile with no help while the employees laughed it up at the end of the aisle within view of this 140-pound, white haired 74 year old man. The cashier asked if anyone helped me, and I told her truthfully that nobody there ever did. Then I pointed to four employees playing with their phones and chatting. If I ran MY business this way, I expect I would be roasting squirrels under a bridge and standing at intersections with a cardboard sign. Way to manage a business whoever you are. The prices pretty much can't be beat when you compare to Lowes/home Depot/The Tile Shop but sometimes they have kinda basic designs rather than more interesting tile pieces. Other pluses include everything you need for a project- grout, tools, trim, etc and the staff are pretty helpful. I like that you can have a contractor pick up items (buy and they will reserve and your contractor can pick up) which is a huge convenience. read more

I spent a lot money to bulld 5 full bathrooms hut gor horrible experiences when returning leftover tiles. The deigner (Babak) did a great job going over a lot materials to meet our expectations. He sent us a quote and I ordered based on the quotes. We ordered all tiles in pieces (not in boxes). And the delivery was horrible, I was there that day and they dropped the pallets of fragile tiles without care. We found some cracked tiles on the next day when our tiles contractor started his work. That's one thing. The reason I gave 3+ (supposed to be 1* if this is only about returning policy/service) We ordered 5 types of tile in pieces, they delivered in boxes (make senses right) When I returned the leftover which came in boxes and pieces, they did not take back the pieces because their system showed quantity in boxes. They said if I ordered per box, they could only take back the boxes, not the pieces. So buyers must be aware of this kind of returning policy before buying anything from this store. Make sure to order per pieces and if the quantiy makes up even boxes, add a few pieces to your order. Hopefully this will help. read more

Value for your money..!! We went there to buy tiles for our backsplash project and the staff was super friendly. We were helped by a young lady who helped us very patiently and also checked on the stocking of the tiles at the Alexandria location for us, since the Woodbridge location didn't have enough in stock. The cashiers and the overall staff helped answer all of our questions and greeted us and provided great customer service. A HUGE shout out to Gary D the flooring manager at the Potomac Mills Floor and Decor store. I had to get 8 boxes of LARGE FORMAT tile lickety split. It involved getting one of their cranes to get a fresh pallet down for my inspection. When working with these 4' × 2' tiles, some of the wild patterns don't work when doing a featured wall or floor. He was so patient and willing to help me with a wonderful attitude. He understood I had a tiling crew waiting for me 30 minutes away in Stafford. Thank you so much for understanding my urgency. I would like to thank Manager Christian . He personally took care of my issue that I first commented on. If not for him the store would've have lost my business. One 10K (60 boxes) of flooring ordered in January 21 and just received it late April of 21. Delivery was paid and date set. No call for delivery so had to call and find out they didn't pick it for delivery. Although delivery was complete it was delivered by a subcontractor in the back of a truck and van. Was charged for 4 pallets even though it came in two. Now to the wood. One box was obviously smashed by the forklift and not sure if the wood can be used. Two boxes are complete different. (in white boxes) they do not match the other 58 boxes. Flooring doesn't even match the stair nose that was ordered. I'm too late in the process to turn it away since i've been living on a subfloor for 4 months. I'll look somewhere different next time. read more

Worst customer service. Store associates are not helpful. I bought tiles and raw material for my kitchen floor from this store. I went there around 10 in the morning, they had everything in the stock but asked me to come back after 7 hours to pick my order. There was one item that i wanted to get right away, the pro manager said i cannot help you and sent me to the area where this item was. Two days later i went back to the store to get an additional T Mold and some more supplies. I went to Pro desk and asked Pro Manager Arely Ramos Silva to ask someone to help me pull 2 boxes of tiles, she said i can help you back there. I went there waited for her, she didn't come. I picked those 16X32 boxes by myself. I also noticed that this time the T Mold was longer in length than the one that was sold to me earlier. I told this to Arely Ramos Silva, she refused that this could happen and said your contractors must have cut it. I told her they are still putting down the tiles and haven't used it. To ensure i called my contractor, he confirmed that he did not cut the T Mold. Arely refused to admit that someone in the store can make a mistake and said this is not how this item left my store and left. I asked an associate to connect me to the store manager, he said she is the manager, which is not true, i looked up online the store manager is Peter Jean. I do not recommend going to this store. read more

My wife and I used Floor and Decor to find the materials we needed to refinish our 2 and half bathrooms. We ordered online for some of it and pick up was quick and simple. For the rest of it our contractor was allowed to pick it up on our behalf. That was very convenient for us. The selection of materials was a little overwhelming on our first visit but we got more comfortable after subsequent visits. We appreciated seeing some of the products installed into shower features and got some ideas from the displays. We are very satisfied with our selections and thought the prices were on par with other stores in the local area. We definitely could have found some cheaper options at the big box stores but quality would have suffered. We will not hesitate to visit Floor and Decor to prepare for our next home improvement project. read more

Went in to get some vinyl in a sheet to replace what was in a basement kitchen that had been dug up due to a plumbing issue. The kitchen was only four years old. Asked the gal at the front for help and she had to find a person in that department- I guess. He told me that they didn't carry linoleum and I said that vinyl in s sheet was fine. He walked me back to a section that was all vinyl wood-looking tiles. When I said again that I was looking for vinyl in a sheet he told me that was "old school" and "I'd never find that any longer". He said this in a way that was very rude. When I said that the kitchen where it was only four years old. He said, very rudely, "Then go back where you got it!" And walked off. His attitude was totally uncalled for. And has guaranteed that I will never set foot in this store again not even when I'm ready to replace the kitchen on the main floor. read more

Great store, super selection and very helpful employees. This is not like going to Home Depot. The employees here know what they are talking about and will help, show and guide you as necessary. They will be glad to assist or leave you alone, whichever is your preference. I was looking for engineered hardwood, and they showed me where to go and where samples were and how much they were. Similarly at the register the lady at checkout indicated to hold on to my receipt and return the samples as they were fully returnable. Though I didn't end up getting the flooring from here, I glanced around the store upon returning the samples and they have plenty of different floor types and plenty of helpful employees. Seriously, he helped us make a decision for the tile that will adorn most of our home. Not only did Gary show us exactly where to find the tile I was looking at online when I got to the store but, he also verified there was sufficient stock on hand since our contractor was coming the next morning. Don't buy anything from this place if U need it the same day! I bought 2 lousy bags of grout for same day pick up. Their website says it takes 2 hours to process online orders. They won't let customers pick up their orders until they have received some stupid permission slip in their email saying their order is ready. It's been more than 3 hours and I need the grout!!! I so regret buying from this crap store! I tried their online chat service and got NOWHERE!!! Big surprise! I should be able to pick up my order when it's convenient for ME!!! NOT the stupid idiots in the store! Now, my entire day is ruined -- they have MY money and I'm behind schedule! What a load of shit! ***UPDATE*** Later the nite I ordered the 2 bags of black grout, I received an email saying the store didn't have the grout at all and would t be ordering any more. So, I was left with nothing. And, they had charged my credit card. Was told it would be more than a week till my credit card would be reimbursed. Are U serious?! Fast forward to last week: I got several voicemails & emails from Oumar in Corp HQ customer service. He was amazing! I was shocked that I heard from him as a few weeks had gone by. Oumar not only made sure I was reimbursed, he also sent me two free bags of grout! What a wonderful man! Our mar is a credit to Floor & Decor. I still don't trust my local store. Worst customer service. Store associates are not helpful. Rude. Bought online some rocks for shower flooring and was gonna do curb pickup. I used their app to check in and parked in front. Waited 30 minutes with other cars also waiting for curb pick up. Both cars already left and I was checking my phone for a message if they can't find me but no phone call or message. Went inside for a quick bathroom and returned to the car. My item nor their employee is not there still. Again no messages or phone call if they can't find me. Decided to go inside and asked the counter. The lady told me I should check in there in the corner (far end of the store) and I told her I already checked in (thru their app). She did not listen to what I said and continued to point me to check in there. So together with my 2 young kids we headed to the "check in " place. The check in lady asked one of the employees loading the items and the rude employee looked at me and pointed to my item apparently on the side "your stuff is there I was looking for you and you aren't there". Both the lady and the employee did not offer to take my stuff back out. (They expect me to get my own stuff since I missed them?). Yeah and I have a slightly injured left thumb, I was wearing a brace). I told them can someone help me push the metal cart to the store's exit and load the items to my car. She said you can ask somebody in front and they can help you load. Great, but then I have to push this cart with one hand and I made my kids help me push all the way to the entrance. But before I did that I was so upset I told both of them this is not customer service, and you guys know I can sue you all if I hurt myself pushing this thing. When I reached the entrance, I managed to still ask for somebody's help to load our stuff in the car. Somebody helped us load the items but I am not going back for anything at this store. read more

Her over-the-top enthusiasm, product knowledge, eye for coordinating color and contrast, as well as her warmth and engagement contributed to an A+ experience. Most importantly, she listened to what was important to me, used our time efficiently, reassured me about my concerns, and helped make my decisions easier. I have chosen to go with the items we chose. I would greatly recommend Floor and Decor for their extensive choices, good price points, and most of all, having a chance to work with Shanea! I ordered two boxes of tiles online with pick up location at Alexandria store. Without my knowing and approval the order was transferred to Woodbridge location. When I went to pick up my order at Alexandria store, the staff told me that the order was already picked up. I never picked it up. They took my info and said they will investigate, check camera footage,and call me back. That was June 2021. It's September 29 now and nothing. I called Woodbridge store today at 1330 and was transferred to the Manager who without asking me for my account number said that never happens and was very impolite. The manger said he can't help and to call customer service. I tried calling customer service but after 30 mins of hold, I gave up. This place is great for the DIYers on a budget! I'm no tile/flooring expert, but hubs and I did our research before tackling our kitchen backsplash. We visited the usual Home Depot & Lowes, as well as Costco, online, and specialty tile shops to peruse the variety and pricing. This place is a drive for us, so we knew what style and around what color we had in mind (otherwise, plan on heading there not just twice (once to buy and once to return leftover, if needed)). They have a great website you can go online to at least get some ideas, but they do have a tad more selection in their store. The bonus is being able to return unused or opened tile boxes. Sure, it's Made in China, but you can't beat the pricing. Budget-friendly but modern-chic-nice looks for the win! (Disclaimer: don't come here expecting to be waited on hand and foot). That doesn't mean they won't help you, but this place is huge and they may be helping people. read more

The employees are willing to assist customers with what is best suited for their DIY ideas at home with a smile and give. The only 2 issues they have are some of their items are a little too expensive and also they do NOT have military discount. I have served over 22 years as a military members and even became disabled due to serving but I can't even obtain a discount at this store. read more
