We hired Floor Mart for a whole-home tile installation, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. While the scope of the project was large, the execution lacked professionalism from the very beginning. The installation crew was clearly inexperienced--something the crew leader openly acknowledged, stating that several workers were still in training. Throughout the install, numerous baseboards, walls, personal property and existing finishes were damaged. Despite providing both photos and videos documenting these issues, the owner refused to take accountability. Instead, he became hostile, personally insulted me, and accused us of being unable to pay our bill--despite having received bank records showing our general contractor had been paid in full two months before the project even began. When we withheld final payment until repairs were made, the owner filed a lien on our home. He issued a partial credit for some of the damage but never took full responsibility. Once paid, he refused to complete the remaining punch list items--despite previously agreeing to do so in writing. Contrary to the owner's public response to my original review on google, the job was not completed. My husband and I had to finish grouting, repairing damage, and repainting--tasks that were Floor Mart's responsibility. Claims that all punch list items were resolved before payment are false, and I have timestamped written communication confirming the owner's refusal to finish the work. The accusation that I was abusive or made derogatory comments toward the crew is categorically false. I was direct in addressing the quality issues. For example, many baseboards were installed damaged. At my husband's request (he was working for our GC at the time), I marked damaged baseboards with small check marks using a Sharpie to indicate which ones needed to be replaced. No marks were ever made on the flooring. One mark was made on the wall to identify a large hole the crew created during demo--damage we later had to patch ourselves. Floor Mart claimed they sent a painting crew to cover these marks, but that's inaccurate. The painting crew was sent to clean up orange caulk lines, dirt, and grease left by the crew--not to cover Sharpie marks. Had all the damaged baseboards been replaced, the sharpie marks would've been gone. There were no other subcontractors present during this project; Floor Mart's crew was the only one on-site. Any claim that other subs had issues with me is categorically false. Our general contractor--a close family friend--has never made derogatory remarks about me or my mental health and neither has my husband who was equally disappointed in this experience. That accusation is a defamatory and dishonest attempt to discredit a legitimate complaint. To be clear: I have written, time-stamped communication, including messages with the sales rep (who was great), that fully support everything written here. This job did not go south until the owner got involved. The photos I've attached show real, unresolved damage and poor craftsmanship--not misleading "extreme close-ups." I'm writing this review to help others avoid the stress, cost, and conflict we experienced. If you're considering Floor Mart, I strongly recommend exploring other options. Pay close attention to how he responds to this review and to others with negative criticisms of the business. read more

I highly recommend Floor Mart. After being totally ignored at Home Depot and Lowe's, starting asking around for carpeting places, and Floor Mart came up several times. I walked in, told Sam my budget and he showed me several options and found one I loved, he offered a sample and I signed up right away. Two of my friends posted reviews after having a botched tile and grouting job. Their reviews were deleted and the owner called the wife a hysterical woman and the husband a dick and is now sending rude emails to the couple. I am amazed by the utter unprofessionalism of this company and am glad the word is spreading on Facebook not only in Florida, but for the NJ and AZ businesses as well. I will not be using this company ever and am urging all of my family and friends in Florida, New Jersey, and Arizona to avoid floor-mart as well. I am screen shotting this review (in case it is removed) and will be sharing it in my social media networks. Since posting, I received a rude comment from the company on my Facebook account where they not only mentioned my friend, by name, but also commented that they could see why all of her friends are single and added a "yikes!" The more I read, the more astounded I am by their lack of professionalism. Aside from the fact that I'm not single, it's tacky for them to even respond in that way. Also mentioning the customer's name to another in a spiteful manner could be libelous. I'd be more careful if I was an owner of a business. I'd also have handled negative reviews with diplomacy, but would have fixed the problem to the best of my ability. Not impressed, Floor Mart, not impressed at all. read more

Refused to give me credit for a box of tile saying it was a special order after the salesman said they had 5,000 sqf in inventory. After almost a month waiting for the order ir was delivered to the wrong address, wich by the way i had to go to the erroneous address and pick up my order. If you want to save some money on the overall cost of the project and can deal with the headache, then i recommend it. They are a good bunch of people, but are not very reliable. read more

Walked in this place to look at tile with my family. And this guy comes up very polite, but keep talking to us about a certain kind of tile. He kept going on and on about this tile saying how it's got a good deal on it, and I mean I wanted to see what else they have but very pushy. Again though very polite. We asked if the Floor Mart would install if we got the tile from somewhere else and the guy said no. They don't do that. We would have to purchase from that company to have them do the installing. We said we'd think about it. So we left. Found wonderful beautiful tile with in a couple days over at lows and we found this really good company to install it all too. ___________________________ Called: (((Distinctive Tile & Marble.))) ___________________________ These installers did a fabulous amazing job. CUSTOMER BEWARE! We tiled our whole house with Floor-Mart and it was the worst experience we have ever had with any company, period. The owner, Nick Boss, will spin a web of excuses, half-truths and flat out lies rather than taking ownership for multiple mistakes. We have pictures of the way our home was left (trash, cigarette butts, old carpet nail strips laying around, pieces of tile in our grass, food wrappers inside and outside the house, empty cans, etc.) as well as the "quality" of work we were left with. Do your homework and go with a reputable company with an honest, professional owner and salespeople instead of Floor-Mart! read more

Our Floor Mart experience was mixed. The selection and value of the products offered, and that which we chose were very good. However, I would extremely caution regarding the installation process. I believe Floor-Mart uses numerous install companies. The group we were assigned did not cover our existing floors prior to the start of the job. Additionally the clean up was in our estimation, sub par, very messy. We have had many floors installed over the years, and NEVER have our existing wood floors not been covered with drop cloths or plastic, and NEVER have we been left with tile dust covered flooring. Perhaps if the Installation Company owner come to inspect the final job, this would have been resolved, however, he did not. This was a disappointing end to what could have been an excellent experience. I cannot caution potential customers enough -"specifically communicate your expectations clearly" so that you're not let down with the job! read more

Its been four years since we had our Dream Weaver (25 year.warranty) carpet installed by Floor Mart. i am updating my initial review for product and customer service. As indicated by the manufacturer, I have had my carpet professionally cleaned yearly. I also regularly vacuum every other day. We do not wear shoes in the house either. This carpet is beautiful but it has not held up to normal wear. We are talking 2 adult household. Carpet is flat in the high traffic areas & lifted in the bedroom closet and middle of the bedroom. I initially called Chuck at Floor Mart 3 months ago. He requested receipts to show we maintained the carpet which I provided. Chuck came out to our house & took pictures of the carpet for our warranty claim. He said the carpet should not have worn the way it did. A week or so later Chuck's son came out to see if he could stretch the carpet to eliminate the ridge running through the middle of the bedroom. He wasn't able 't because he needed to have help to move the bedroom furniture. He called in to see if he could get it scheduled that weekend but for some reason no one knew who was working or who was available so that went nowhere. His son looked around and stated that cheap tack strips had been used which was likely why the carpet had lifted About a month later we were told the claim went through. Chuck said the warranty would cover labor and materials and he would call to schedule the install with new carpet. We needed to decide on same or new carpet. We went to Floor Mart and decided on the same color carpet. A few weeks later on a Wednesday Chuck called & left a VM to schedule the install. I called back that Friday & left a VM. I never got a return call. Two weeks goes by and we stop by Floor Mart on a Saturday to inquire about the install. Chuck was there and said he would call me. This was October.... It is now 11/26 and we have called Floor Mart on numerous occasions and are still waiting on this install and no resolution yet. I will be contacting the manufacturer shortly. With the Christmas holidays upon us I really don't want to do a carpet installation in December but I am leery if this keeps dragging on I won't have a claim. read more

We picked out laminate flooring from Floor Mart that we installed ourselves. We were very happy with the product and the price. We had kitchen and bath tile picked out for a very long time and our plans kept getting delayed. Jeff was great with follow up and low pressure. We were contemplating installing ourselves, but got a quote from them for the install and decided to have them do it. The team they had do the install did a fantastic job! Do not do business with Floor Mart. I am "Floored" at the way my wife was treated when we asked to speak to an owner about mistakes that were made (grout color, uneven tile-sizes, etc.). There were also issues with the condition our property was left in after the project was supposedly complete. These are things most businesses would consider reasonable requests but owner Nick Boss became combative, defensive and belittled my wife. Instead of providing answers, he provided excuses. After contacting a lawyer, we sent (as advised) a letter of demand because we needed (in writing) what was going to be done to resolve the issues before we paid. Providing details of installation in writing is something most businesses do up front. After leaving a negative review as I am doing, my wife was told "all warranties are void." Basically the owner is stating that he will not stand by his company's work. He also responded to my wife's review with lies about a "direct quote" that when I paid we "had a laugh" and talked about my wife over-reacting. This is absolutely false, an obvious ploy to defame my wife (and again belittle her). I said fewer than 10 words which included "I need a receipt" and "we want this nightmare to be over." read more

We recently visited Floor-Mart to look at flooring to replace carpet in the great room of our home in SW Cape Coral. The sales person Jeff helped me out and suggested using wood plank look tile over the wood flooring I first was looking for. Jeff was very helpful & knowledgeable. He gave me a few samples to take home. My wife and I of course visited a few other stores and the regular super centers. The level of service along with the knowledge brought us right back to Floor-Mart. We got a good detailed quote from Jeff and made our purchase. The installation project went as smoothly as the sale. I wish they had a no star choice because no start is deserved at all! Never in my life was I treated the way I was but this guy Nick Boss! One of the rudest and such a male ego on him. No compassion or professionalism at all. We order expansive carpet and first time we had to cancel was not my fault...our home was not complete due to renovations and the second time was due to the fact that my husband was not happy with all our construction and mud outside with all the very heavy rains that day...he did not want to have brand new carpet installed and then ruined....I know so many that feel the same but who have canceled many more times due to weather conditions. Well Nick Boss treated us like we are ridiculous because we live in Florida. I then said could your workers please just wear coverings over their shoes and then that was it. His response back was unbelievable after he said no they wouldn't, he then acted as we were nuts to even ask such a thing. Apparently you not allowed to want your new carpet which costs thousands to not get ruined or stained. How he made us feel and how he said what he said was 100% wrong! Only a good man can ever admit his wrongs! I have read tons of reviews and I can see I am not alone on how people feel about this guy and place. FLOOR MART IS A RIP OFF! Worse install of a bathroom tile job ever! Very dishonest. Here are some of the problems: 1.Installer didn't speak ANY English whatsoever 2.Didn't anchor the furring strips to the cement wall correctly. 3.Used drywall screws in the cement board. (Cement board is alkali and rots out non coated screws!) 4. Did not seal the corner seams whatsoever 5.Did not use mesh tape on the other seams, just a rough coating of thinset that looks really bad, 6.Cut extremely large square holes for the faucet leaving a gap of over 2" 7.Tile seams didn't line up 8.When anchoring the cement boar, installer screwed into my CPVC water pipe 9. Flat out lied about what work would be performed. I complained to Floor Mart SIX TIMES while the installer was here, explaining all the things he was doing incorrectly. Floor Mart didn't seem to care and did NOTHING. I stopped the install and fired Floor Mart it was going so bad. The cement board was installed so poorly that Floor Marts work had to be completely removed. Floor Mart refused to refund any of my money. What a ripoff! I highly recommend you go somewhere else! read more

I had them install tile in a spare bedroom used as a home office and a small bedroom closet. When they came to measure, they gave me total price for the project which was a fair price. Pete, who took the measurements told me it was ok the leave the desk in the office, just remove everything else in the room, which I did. When installers came to the house they said it was not possible to work around the desk and the current laminate flooring was supposed to be removed. They could do it but it was going to cost about $180. I assisted in moving the desk and removed the carpet from the closet and was still charged the removal fee. When we called the morning of the install, Pete told me it was written on the invoice to have everything out...he also said that it would be ok to leave the desk once again on the phone. I was upset that he did not inform me to have the flooring removed prior to the the install, then he hung up on me. I did end up paying for the balance and the removal, then they wrote a negative response to us saying we were "trying to pull a fast one" on them. If that were true I would have not paid the balance or the removal fee?? They were very unprofessional in the way it was handled, we try to use small businesses exclusively, but it makes me wonder if this was the right decision. If I was told upfront there would be a fee if I did not remove the flooring, it would have been ok with it, seems like a hidden fee for them to pull a fast one on the customer. read more

I first had carpeting put in a part of my home , and I got a great deal. I then went back to get laminate flooring in the kitchen and breakfast nook. Even though there was a bit of a mixup with the type of quarter round molding that was supposed to be put around the laminate flooring, (they were putting white quarter round instead of the one that matched the flooring). Parkay flooring, cost a bundle and it started chipping within just a few DAYS! Contacted them...got run around, told us to contact manufacturer. Even BIGGER run around for nearly 5 months! FINALLY, determination says "abuse of flooring and furniture moving" - RUBBISH... we take our shoes off before entering and all furniture has rubber feet AND the floor locations in question with chipping doesn't EVEN HAVE FURNITURE ON IT and NEVER DID! Don't fall for the friendly, "sincere" mid-western charm like we did. Carpet frayed, unhappy with installation, and carpeting was NOT the quality we were lead to believe . Explained it would be a high traffic area, and Nick assured us this carpet would hold up. NOT!!! Complained twice and made two phone calls before receiving a return call from Nick. Finally got Nick to come to the house and see what we were unhappy with. First visit we were told we needed a better vacuum and that if we shampooed it (less than 4 months old) the nap would snap back up. SECOND visit he assured us his installers would come back to "fix" two areas of concern. We also asked if we could contact the manufacturer, etc. NEVER happened. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the quality of carpet, quality of installation and general attitude of this store. STEER CLEAR!!! read more

He found me a super nice tile for a great price that surpassed my expectations. He made it a point to make sure I was able to get what I wanted fast. They even delivered the tile for free. The salesman, Jeff was honest and true to his prices. The prices were extremely reasonable. I just purchased another home and I am getting ready to have them out again. The installer was extremely professional and very hard working. He was by himself and in and out in a matter of 3 hours for a 2 room installation. His installation was extremely detailed all the way down to a very clean sweep and vacuum when the old carpet was removed. He replaced any of the mounting wood that needed replacement. I don't understand any of the other reviews. I was not prompted to do this at all. read more
