I went to this place on a Tuesday to pick out some flooring. Their customer service in store is great! I made an appointment for next day Wednesday for free estimate and the guy Brandon came out to give me my free estimate and got my email down to send it that night. Thursday comes around I call the store letting them know I got no estimate and they said that Brandon is off to call his cell number, called him no response. Today is Saturday still nothing I called the store twice no answer left voicemail still nothing. I called Brandon back no answer. We were willing to give them lots of business to get our home wood floored and this is how they treat customers? My wife and I tomorrow will be looking at The Floor Trader and Other Liquidators. My friend used them to carpet two large bedrooms. They apparently subcontract out their installation work. As soon as th installers left - her son discovered his wifi xbox deluxe remote had walked out the door with them. His room was one of the rooms carpeted. Immediately she called the manager who said he would contact the installers and get back to her and they never did even after repeated calls. It cost $75 to replace his remote and they fact that they would take from a child....who knows what else they could steal. She has other carpeting needs but adamantly will never use them again nor will I! read more

We bought a combo Carpet / LVP ( Laminated Wood plank) from them in 03-2019 and they brought the items over WEEKS later and after we saw how nice LVP looks we changed over mind and politely told the installers that we do not want the carpet installed and will gladly will pay MORE money to have the LVP all over our home. Danny called Jim Sales Rep and Jim shut us down with a illogical excuse that " carpet is special order and we can not take it back", we told Jim carpet is in wrapper and not even opened so Jim called his Boss ( Steve) and we still got refused! A horrible job on carpet install was done by installer Roman and we complained and Jim reluctantly agreed to waive the labor fee for carpet ( Danny will buy carpet because he's guy screwed it) or which we said NO, they sold us the LVP at NOT much discount and Danny and his crew did the install again. Here we are MONTHS behind on work, thousand of dollars lost to Carpet and install, thousands of dollars lost for new LVP ,really sloppy work on LVP install and now our garage is filled with barely used premiums carpet and padding and no one wants to buy it!! Danny flooring is a total NIGHTMARE , Danny barely spoke second time around and looked pissed off. We guess he was not happy that he had to install the LVP in place of Carpet without THINKING that he's guy ruined the work and we could have ask him to buy the carpet as Jim offered BUT we refused the carpet!! This place is joke and nightmare due to the fact that they recommended shady / poor quality installer and wipe their hand clean when grade F installer screws up and you complain to them!! We should have gone with BIG name companies and saved ourselves aggravation, money and disappointment. My Moms house was finally empty & we needed to put it on the market ASAP. Dezeray spent a lot of time in the showroom giving me different ideas & price ranges. Then the estimator Hemdi, was very helpful giving me different costs for different ways we could go in flooring ideas. He could probably see that I was overwhelmed so he helped with carpet color ideas, too. Then I went to the store to pay. Jen heard my urgent flooring concerns & got us scheduled for a whole house of carpet very very quickly. She definitely gave me stellar customer service. Went there based on the recommendation of my Handyman who used them & was pleased, but he's been privy to all that has gone on and now like me will not recommend or use them in the future. My experience: called to schedule measurement & estimate. Visited Modesto store to select Carpet before measurement. It was about 1:30/2 pm on a Sat. Store was quiet with only 1 other customer during my time there, but took a while to be waited on while guys were sitting at the counter. The salesman weren't tremendously helpful and in fact acted as if I was an inconvenience. I made a carpet decision and didn't think about that I also needed to select a pad, and the salesman never brought it up - aren't they suppose to do that? Well guy comes out to measure as scheduled - calls me when he gets there as there isn't access. I get him situated and my Handyman is working in the space at the same time. When he's done, I get a call from him that he's finished and that he will give me a call later with the estimate, but that he'll need a $100 deposit from me now - I write it and walk it over to him (I was next door in my house and he's measuring rental). The guy tells me he'll give me a call later with the estimate and that a gal from their business will schedule an install date. We had discussed that a little floor clean up needed to happen, but the measurements were done on a Monday and the guy said they could install on Friday and we were going to have the floor clean up done by Wednesday. The estimator was talking with both myself and my Handyman, so it's been good because we both have heard and not heard the same things. I didn't hear back. I'm a patient person, to a point. I waited. Finally the next Monday I called and spoke with someone explaining that I was still waiting. That person told me that they were with a customer and would call me back in 15 minutes (it was about 10:15 am at that time). Never got a call back. That was it for me. Called on Tuesday and told them that they didn't want my business and I was going elsewhere and explained why and that I wanted my $100 back. I was told that it was odd because the estimate and everything was entered in the system. Then a short time goes by and I get an angry call from the estimator telling me that he called and gave me the quote over the phone and that his phone records show that he called back and basically telling me that I was lying. He also told me that we had told him that we needed a week and that he didn't know when we would be ready. My Handyman spoke with him several times, as did I so there was no reason for confusion. I was thinking during our conversation that perhaps he called back and I missed the call and then he confused me with someone else in a later conversation. Then later checked my phone records and realized that he must have been justifying himself to his boss as yes, he did call me back when he was leaving the property and to tell me he would call later with the estimate, but in order to have called me back with the estimate, he would have had to call me a 3rd time - he didn't do that. We all make mistakes. We forget things. But yelling at a customer and fabricating a story when all he had to do was apologize and he could have even asked if there was something he could do to make this right and keep the business, instead they have just earned someone who will repeatedly make it known that this is not a company that wants your business. If they're working hard to go out of business, they're doing an awesome job! read more

You cant find any other store that sells wood floors cheaper than they do, i bought the one on sale and even asked for a discount coz I'm paying it all at once. they gave me a very good deal, the qoutes i got from home depot & lowes are very expensive even when they have all those promos it would still cost you more but other than that they are the good place to buy other materials. From the moment my wife, kids and I walked in this place it was apparent that nobody wanted to help us. Three people were sitting at the counter and not one got up to assist. The customer service is as poor as I've ever seen!!! Initially, I was asked a cursory..."do you need help" and I said we were just looking at this point. Then, when we had questions about types of flooring, etcetera he "pointed" us in the direction from the counter area. The guy (Jesus) seemed irritated that I was bothering him. I said, no I would like you to show me some things and answer my questions, as we're ready to buy. He clearly wanted to get back to his chair at the counter. When I asked about the need for subfloor for the product, he was baffled. He clearly had no knowledge of product requirements for installation. I consider myself to be a patient and understanding person especially since I worked in the customer service field for most of my career. Issue 1: I took the day off work to be at my home for an estimate for carpet and at the time if the appointment I get a call that the guy can't make it and we need to reschedule. No apology. Issue 2: the guy comes out a week later to give me a quote but I had to call him 3 times to get it. No apology. Issue 3: a couple of months go by and I'm ready to move forward with the purchase so I call on Friday and ask about the soonest install date (for carpet) if I made my selection on the following day (Saturday). He tells me by the following Wednesday at the latest. I drive the 45 minutes to Modesto early on Saturday to arrive by opening to make my selection and spend the next 20 minutes with Dave who seemed very nice and knowledgeable. We head up to the counter so I can pull up my estimate / measurements and he can't find them. I show him my quote with the number and he still can't find it. After 10 minutes he finally finds it (I suspect he didn't know the look up/system). Then I confirm install for Wednesday and he's tells me they are all booked up for the week! The only reason I went there was because they could do it before Thanksgiving!!! Then I tell him we decided against carpet on the stairs so the landing and hallway and bedrooms only. He tells me he has to rework the quote. I ask if I should wait and he says "I wouldn't." Very rudely. He says he'll call me with it later because I didn't want to have to come back. No call! On Monday I call after lunch, giving them plenty of time to work on my quote (removing stairs only!) and I ask for Dave who doesn't seem to remember me. Then in his ah-ha moment he says he has to have Paul do it! He never even asked or did it!!!! At this point I'm very frustrated because he can't get in touch with Paul. I know he didn't even try! So I calmly ask if someone else can do it. I honestly don't even remember what he said. We hung up and today still no quote! I call Dave again and he again doesn't remember me but then after providing further details says "oh yes!" Argh!!!!! He says to to me "what did you want again? When was the original quote?" While looking me up I was so angry but only inside. I told him never mind and asked to speak to the manager. He put me on hold and then we were disconnected. Issue 4: we purchased our wood laminate flooring there and it's crap! Looks nice but is chipped in several places. Issue 5: when we went to pick up my tile and wood flooring they stacked it so high that it fell in the street!!!! Half my tile was ruined! Dave cost this store a lot of future business. Not only mine but several people I know who are in the market for flooring will hear my frustrations. read more

Our first 15 minutes in this store was not a good one. We were not greeted or even acknowledged. We were a few seconds from walking out when a lady named Sandra let us know she would be with us in a few minutes, we decided to wait. Boy am I glad we did. We found some carpet we liked at a great price. Sandra was able to look at pics of our house on "our phones" and go by what we explained it looked like and give us a rough estimate of how much carpet she thought it would be. She made an appointment for a guy to come take measurements a few days later and would you believe she was within 50 square feet of the actual measurement? I couldn't believe it! Obviously Sandra is good at what she does! While the guy was there taking measurements, I started to have second thoughts about the color I had chose at the store. The guy measuring asked me if I was trying to match the carpet to the granite countertops. I told him yes and he told me he had a sample of carpet in his can that he thought I might like. He brought it in and it just so happened to be the carpet color I had originally picked. I figured it must be fate and decided to go with it. Fast forward to this week. The carpet has been installed. The guys arrived at 8:30 in the morning and knocked it out! It looks awesome. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. We are so happy with the way it turned out. Not to mention, I paid about $2000 less than what I was quoted everywhere else. I would definitely recommend flooring liquidators and make sure Sandra helps you, she is great!!! read more

I'm extremely furious with flooring liquidators and their customer service. I've purchased from this store in the past to remodel my old home. Now I'm in a new home and have renovations to be done. I called Friday Nov 6th to schedule an estimate for carpet and vinyl for 855 sq ft, I wanted to purchase their Lifeproof carpet which is top of the line at $3+ a sq ft without pad. They told be they'd be here Friday the 13th between 1 and 2. That time came and nobody showed so I got on the phone and called upset and they said that they didn't have my address and they'd have to reschedule me for Monday the 16th at noon. Well Monday came and went and nobody showed again. Now I've been waiting over a week for just an estimate. Upset that they had missed a second schedule I called in and spoke with a woman who works there and she said that most likely what had happened is that the person who scheduled it didn't know what they were doing and didn't enter it into the computer to save it on their scheduling not just one time but the second time I had called in as well. I asked if anyone knew how to do their job there and was there somebody that could actually schedule the appointment properly because I need my carpet in my house. She informed me that they would not be able to get out to me for another week because they were booked. SMH I don't know about any other business out there but when you schedule a customer and don't show for that scheduled appointment two times in a row they should have sent someone out immediately to fix their mess up! I should have been first on that list. Now I'm taking that 5k sale too Big Foot Carpets! I called Eric at Bigfoot immediately and told them my issue with flooring liquidators and he started to chuckle like it wasn't the first time he had heard it. That same day they had someone come estimate my square footage for the carpet and vinyl and for their top of the line Stainmaster carpet I saved myself about $1,000. So I guess the joke's on flooring liquidators thank you for saving me money by not doing your job correctly. read more

You get what you pay for.... Had carpet install arranged for this morning at 9:00. Then we were told between 9:00-10:00, got a call, now running late, changed to 9:00-11:00. But we were assured installers had already picked up carpet and would be there soon. This was about 10:00. 11:00 came and went... No call from anyone... Like we were just forgotten. My husband called to get ETA. Installer calls... Very unprofessional, łsounding like he celebrated 4/20 yesterday and he said he was at least 45 minutes away... It was now 11:40! I'm guessing he was heading to lunch... Oh HELL NO!!! Husband called and cancelled entire order. Huge red flag if this is how we are starting! Can you imagine if there was a problem?!?! Then with such a late start, they'd rush the job! 4 rooms, hallway and 13 stairs... No small job. We needed to leave house by 5:00 for baseball, not a chance in hell I'd leave them unsupervised in my home. They aren't exactly responsible quality employees We spent days moving furniture, got us and kids up at 6:30 to bring beds downstairs and vacuum to reduce dust for installers. Not a piece of furniture or item to work around... All for NOTHING!!! It may be lowest bid... But you are getting the lowest customer service too! Pay a little more for reliable installers and good customer service. It's worth it in the long run... Live and learn ! read more

I don't even know where to start.I SO WISH I COULD POST PICTURES ON HERE. A 1-Day job for carpet and linoleum is now on 1 month. Ive been flaked on 4 times as of today being the last Time. They broke my closet and baseboards then left them on sitting by the window. They were told not to move the refrigerator. They did even saying oh it took us 30 min to get that out....uh duh! Got concrete on my dogs, All over my dogs who then got it on the brand new carpet and they left that on the carpet but locked the dogs out front so when I got home they were running in the road covered in concrete. The man brought his wife who is not a licensed contractor who I walked in to installing my carpet. Now they want me to pay for the damage and repairs and then have set up time a to come do it...I wait and every time they call and say they cant do it.They said when I paid that they would send a team of guys who could get it all done in one day. So we rented a big ass u-haul that ended up costing over 100 bucks and moved the WHOLE house in to it. Then dude shows up...just 1 guy and is like oh no sorry Ill have to finish it tomorrow. So we couldn't get the u-haul for another day so we had all this boxed up furniture we had to unload and stick all over the place. So he finished the carpet and was suppose to come back the next day to do the linoleum...never shows up. At all. They told him they were going to pull him off his job Tuesday and make him finish but boom out of no where he shows up Monday morning because he didn't want to loose that other job so I didn't have warning that he would even be here. I asked him If he wanted me to take the dogs to my mother in laws house like I did with the carpet and hes like noooo don't worry about it. I ran to the grocery store and get back and they wont let me park in the driveway because that's where they are cutting my flooring. No shit in the middle of the black top they had my flooring all across the court here and the dogs are locked out of my house. That's when hes like DO NOT LET THEM BACK IN they ran across the concrete and got it on your carpet. I'm like WTF my new carpet you just installed?! Well is it going to come out? and hes like um I dunno I think so. So I load the dogs up take them to my mother in laws and give them a bath and had to cut it out of their hair. Get back and hes got his wife in there again laying the linoleum this time. Like I said they weren't suppose to move the refrigerator because it was too big for where it was sitting in the 1st place so we had it shoved in there and of course they did it anyway sitting it on the new carpet. Well instead of him putting it back nope he bounced out. OK THEN today after I left that review on there FB page I got a call from corporate. The dude was so fucking rude I freaked out. He started out with So yeah your the one who tore the hole in the kitchen floor so its your fault and you should pay to have it fixed. 150$ I was like woah woah woah let me start from the beginning and hes all WHAT EXACTLY IS IT YOUR WANTING FROM ME JUT TELL ME. I was like HOLY FUCK are you retarded I WANT TO HAVE MY FLOOR FIXED. Then he was like ok just stop right there I see where this is going. I told him I had pictures and everything documented and I WILL BE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT and no joke like 2 hours later a girl called and was like someone will be out in the morning and we wont charge you. Not to mention when the bar broke in my closet he just threw ALL my clothes in the master bathroom floor. He said it just mysteriously broke...a THICK wooden bar...not that he possibly reached up and pulled himself up on it and it snapped it right ? AND Then I was like OMG did they get the concrete on my BRAND NEW 1,500$ COUCH !! and hes all no I scared them. WTF does that even mean? Seriously a disaster from day 1. Oh and cant forget him going around to All my neighbors handing out his personal business card for his side flooring business. read more

Awful Customer service! We had a guy come out and talk to us about our flooring options for our house. He told us he'd get back to us on square footage and price estimates. A few days later we go down to the store and picked out a few samples. Again same guy helps us and tells us he will give us an estimate based on our samples. Never heard from the guy. We even emailed him again but no reply. After reading these other reviews, I guess I can be thankful that we never made it past the point we did with this company.
