Beware! My wife and I went to Flooring Liquidators to do flooring in our downstairs of our home. We chose the floor and purchased it and we were referred an installer by Flooring Liquidators. We were remodeling the entire bottom floor of the house. We discussed with the installer whether we should install the floor before or after cabinets. It's a waterproof vinyl through the entire lower level. The installer said install before the cabinets. We followed their advice. After several months, we noticed the floor demaiminating in random areas. We called Flooring liquidators and they blamed the installer. The installer blamed the product. Flooring Liqidators sent out a 3rd party inspector who said it was a combination of the product and the installation. Flooring Liquidators admitted to the product being faulty and the installer admitted to faulty installation. My wife finally decided on a new product and informed Flooring liquidators. They placed the order. We were told it was in stock. Weeks go by and we called to find out where our product was and we were told the order was cancelled. In the meantime, the installer said that they would not install and guarantee what my wife selected. It is the same specifications as the original floor. The installer insisted that it be a higher priced product and is refusing to install the new product and guarantee it. Why would Flooring Liquidators have an installer that doesn't stand behind their product? So, we have made calls to the store to just get the product and we will find another installer. Apparently there is someone named Thomas who os their CEO. He has someone named Tina who is supposed to be dealing with warranty issues. Tina will not return a call. Thomas will not return a call. There is an employee named Amber who has been trying to resolve the issue and Juan, a salesman who is trying to assist. They're hands are tied and these other 2 supposed leaders of the company could care less. DO NOT BUY FRIM THIS COMPANY! POOR SERVICE STARTS AT THE TOO. THOMAS AND TINA SHOULD BE FIRED. ​ read more

Installation crews were late both days. They were INSANELY loud. Normally i wouldn't have cared very much, but I have a baby that could not nap because of them. I get that they work they do is loud and that can't be helped, but blaring their music through the house and singing over the top of it, yelling to each other over the music was incredibly inconsiderate. I had to leave with her and on our way back, we could hear the workers and the music from across the street and 2 houses down. I had to apologize to my neighbors. The mess they left was awful. Again, a mess is expected with construction work, but leaving nails and staples all of the floor isn't. We had to wear shoes in the house for days until we were confident we got all of them up. I saw they threw a tarp over my computer to protect it from the dust. I was grateful for that, until I removed the tarp and realized it was an afterthought and my computer, printer and all my screens were trashed already. Not sure why they even threw a tarp down at that point. Communications with the store and the crews was not relayed, so our stairs were installed incorrectly. We had to stop them and redo it, but that was only after a few steps were done and things were done that were irreversible. We opted to not have the crews move furniture out of the rooms before installation....for $80/room and did it ourselves. I accidentally left some hangers on the floor in one of the closets. They stopped what they were doing to have me.....while holding my baby.....go upstairs and move a small pile of hangers up to the bar so they were off the floor. It took me a min and a half, but they couldn't be bothered. All in all, it was a pretty terrible experience. Would not recommend x there are plenty of other "big box" stores out there that have more of a focus on customer service. read more

1 Star - Complete waste of time I had a terrible experience at Flooring Liquidators, specifically with Juan Ponce. I was told the tile I needed was in stock, given one price, and also told they would match the lowest price. Based on that, I rearranged my day and drove out there. I'm a contractor with 40 employees, so my time is not cheap. While I was there, I found the exact same tile $12 cheaper per box (after tax) elsewhere. Juan flat-out refused to honor the price match he already promised. Then, to make things worse, he tried to sell it to me for a higher price than originally quoted. After wasting half my day, I was finally told, "We don't even have it in stock." So to recap: Told it was in stock it wasn't Given one price price changed Promised price match refused Lost half a workday for nothing This is not how you treat customers, especially professionals who bring repeat business. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend dealing with Juan Ponce if you value your time. read more

Prices for padding and installation were 3x the amount of local carpet stores based o the quote I received. I have been a customer for over 20 years and decided to break ties with them. I don't believe the name fits the prices. Definitely not liquidator prices. read more

I'm giving this location three stars based on their large selection. They lose two stars based on customer service. This location is fairly large and there is a lot to choose from between flooring, cabinets & countertops. If you are in the market for remodeling, chances are you will find something you like here. For the bad: When we walked into the store, the gentleman behind the counter did not acknowledge us at all. Lucky for us, we were just looking at their flooring options and did not specifically need help at the time. however, a simple hi would have professional. We were in the store for a total of about 30 minutes. There was one other time an employee walked past us and did not acknowledge us to inquire if we needed assistance. We ended up not finding the specific floor tile we wanted. As we walked past the sales counter on the way out we were not acknowledged again. Bottom line: If you need help, you will need to go look for it. read more

Apparently Flooring Liquidators does not have a full disclosure statement to offer customers, I am 81 yrs. old, a widow on a fixed income, I have saved and shopped around for bargains my whole life, my contractor would have picked up my order at the mfg. to save being a special order, that way I should have been able to return the left over 7 boxes, whoever exaggerated my needs should be fired, very deceitful, and such a waste of expensive material, I would never recommend Flooring Liquidators. I walked in to see if they had any remnants for sale. I was the only person in the store, besides the two men sitting at the front desk, laughing and talking. There might have been people in the back, but I never saw them. They stopped their conversation long enough to say, "Hello, how can we help you?" I told them what I wanted, they pointed to the sign, which was all the way across the store (I have a hard time walking, knee surgery in June, and that was a long way to walk!). I asked if they had anything closer. They said no and went back to talking, basically ignoring me. They never asked what size I needed or if they could help me in any other way after they pointed to the sign. I will never go there again. Their Customer Service was extremely lacking in service. One of the men should have gotten up and walked back to the end of the store and helped me to answer questions. I might have bought one of the 6X9 carpets, but I didn't because I would have been unable to carry it on my own and I refuse to yell across the store to be rude and interrupt the super important conversation that meant more than helping a customer. So I wish all the best for any and all people looking for a carpet or flooring in Modesto. Maybe you will have a better experience going there than I did. read more

Had some issues with the install, that dragged out the process considerably longer than it should have taken (one week job lasted 76 days). Your experience will be 100% dependent on the installer, so remain in contact with the Flooring Liquidators team. Despite several issues during the install, the FL team worked with us to get them corrected. Be vocal with the installer, and if they're doing things wrong, let the FL team know. In the end, great looking floor. Took a lot longer than we had hoped, but happy with the folks at FL and their willingness to help us with the installation issues before, during, and after the job. Manager had no problems telling the installer to tear out his mistakes and do it again, which I appreciate. read more

Went to pick up my material at the warehouse and the warehouse was closed Saturday It's very frustrating to loose an entire Saturday and morning due to not being able complete my home project due to this being closed. Weekends are the only time I have available went here for the home feel vs the big stores but this type of inconvenience doesn't help. read more

I had a great experience with FL. I went in on a whim to look for flooring. Told Juan what I was looking for (and what I wasn't). He directed me to different styles and selections based on my needs. I left with 3 samples that I really loved. Ended up deciding that evening which we would go with. I called the next day to place the order. I walked around for 30 minutes trying to figure out where the type of floor I want was located in their store. There were salesmen helping others, and some behind the counter just staring at me. I finally got the hint and went to the counter asking for help. They looked at eachother and one came to help. He did not introduce himself or ask for my name. He did give me some info rushing around the floor then back quickly behind the counter when the pizza showed up. I went back to the counter to finish asking my questions about installation etc. I found a couple samples but the ones I was most interested in we not stocked. Sure some prices are cheaper. But the service is the attitude that they dont care if they get your business. I went elsewhere and purchased flooring for my whole house. I suggest you do the same. read more

I don't often do critical reviews, but the way Flooring Liquidators handled my issue just angers me. My wife and I selected a high-end LVP Laminate floor plank with an attached rubber underlayment from Flooring Liquidators and were told we did not need an underlayment, even on our concrete slab. The Floor was installed, and it sounded and felt cheap and made a "ponk ponk ponk" sound as you walk across it. This is not something I am wanted to live with, so I talked to our rep who then talked to the Flooring Liquidators owner about the problem. He told me they would stand behind their product by providing replacement planks if needed and a quality cork underlayment, and I agreed to pay the re-installation fee which was the bulk of the cost. Instead of a cork underlayment as we discussed, they provided a cheaper underlayment they stocked and said would work. It improved the issue somewhat, but not much. My wife and I are so disappointed with the floor that we will likely re-install with a quality cork underlayment, or completely replace the floor at some point. Three stars instead of one because the staircase, upstairs laminate, and carpet are terrific. read more

Well I gave them one star if I could it would be zero stars. They sent out a "professional" who knew everything about floors. We replaced a 1/2 inch flooring with a 1/8 inch floor and not a word on how uneven everything would be or that we should lay down another floor the subcontractor guy wanted to cut our molding to fix it. It would of made everything crooked then when all with the flooring is done he says you should of had a layer of plywood laid down to bring the floor backup. They came 1 1/2 hours earlier than told because I had grandkids to get to school. They ruined part of the flooring which they did fix but the rest is just junk. See the photos. If I would of seen the rating here first I would of never went to these so called professionals Update and just to let you know you have to have a special kind of backing on rugs that go on this flooring or else like mine it dulls the shine and you are out of luck. We went to the granite supply location on Mariposa Road in Modesto. We were helped by Senorino and bought two quartzite slabs and backsplashs. He was extremely helpful and courteous and directed us to some installers to choose from and call. Our quartzite was installed by Jesus Tapia who did an excellent job and came out within a couple of days to install the countertop. We are more than pleased with flooring liquidators and Jesus Tapia for installing the beautiful countertops in our Inlaw quarters. read more

My wife and I shopped at the Stone Creek location. Our feedback to the store and the salesperson Dominic is good. He was knowledgeable and courteous. Our feedback pertains to the fulfillment end of the order. We were told that delivery would happen between 3 and 5 pm on a day. And instead, it happened between 10 and 12 noon. So we had to juggle things around. Then the biggest disappointment was when the delivery man unloaded the boxes in our garage and left us with all the debris. All the plastic, the ties, cardboards, etc. that held the skid together. After charging us an arm and a leg for delivery, the least you expect is to clean up after you. I am sorry, this was a huge disapointment for us. read more

Two parts to my review: Flooring was awesome, came in and talked with Jeff. He was straight to the point and I didn't feel like I was being sold. Bought my flooring and he lined me up with installers " Big H flooring (which I highly recommend)". Counter tops is were it went sour, sent out Brandon which I am told is the only counter salesman. He came out on a Friday to take measurements, told us we would have the quote before the end of the day. The next Wednesday still no quote, called left him a message got the quote the next day. Talked it over and decided to go ahead with them, so we called same day and left a message with no response. Called again Monday no response all week. Called and spoke with the manager the next Monday, asked if we could work with someone else since he wasn't interested in our business (nope have to deal with him). After calling the manager Brandon sent our contract over the next day, 2k over quoted price! At that point we were done. Went to stone crafters saved money and treated like they wanted our business! read more

They're entirely too concerned with who should be talking to who and what desk you should sit at which I assume can only be because of commission work. After the install, they forgot to collect payment and followed up with two phone messages. After my wife and I called no less than a combined 5 times to make payment (calls went unanswered) we stopped trying to run them down. Well, they sent a certified demand for payment which is comical because we had been trying to pay them for weeks. After having some ridiculous quotes with other companies we went into this location and met Jim who was so honest and friendly and came to our house the same day to give us a quote. Installation turned out great but the salesman Jim prichard is a snake and a liar. Waited until after the job was complete to try and over charge for labor. Also tried to overcharge the flooring. Although the crew did a great job, they took 3 hour lunches and breaks every 30 minutes. A job that should have taken 4 days took 11 days. I would not recommend the lying snake Jim or flooring liquidators. This clown likes to try and take advantage of people. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I'd recently purchased a few boxes of backsplash tiles from them, went back yesterday to their warehouse to purchase a few more coz we ran low. The delivery guy delivered 4 tiles less than the actual number, which we only realized when we reached home. When we returned back to surface this issue THEY ACCUSED US OF STEALING THOSE MISSING TILES, only to realize it was a miscalculation from their end after they checked their inventory. It was partly my fault too for not checking during delivery as I was on a work call, so they blamed it on us. Lastly, when we had requested a return (coz we'd purchased more than what we'd needed), they put their foot down and denied it, even when we were back in 45 mins, especially after all the mess they'd created for us. The asst. manager sales was a jerk and he thought he was all that, and the manager Rene also hated to cooperate/flex, super rude, and blamed it on their policy and walked off. First time for me facing such awful customer service in this country. Stay away, go do businesses who put customers first! Too bad I ignored all the 1-star rating in here. read more

I went to this place on a Tuesday to pick out some flooring. Their customer service in store is great! I made an appointment for next day Wednesday for free estimate and the guy Brandon came out to give me my free estimate and got my email down to send it that night. Thursday comes around I call the store letting them know I got no estimate and they said that Brandon is off to call his cell number, called him no response. Today is Saturday still nothing I called the store twice no answer left voicemail still nothing. I called Brandon back no answer. We were willing to give them lots of business to get our home wood floored and this is how they treat customers? My wife and I tomorrow will be looking at The Floor Trader and Other Liquidators.
