Great from start to finish! We purchased new construction a few years back and wanted to locate the same material to continue the engineered hardwood flooring to an additional area. After finding this company was one of the vendors who carried the same product, we worked with Terry to get an estimate to extend the flooring. He came out to provide a free estimate and verify the type and size of the planks we needed. He was very helpful in going over everything with us during his visit. We never had any issues, and the installers did an exceptional job! The floor transition from room to room is unnoticeable. The installers respected our home and cleaned up before they departed. I have had lots of work done by this Bussiness on two separate occasions. First was to install flooring in my kitchen and bathrooms. This went fairly well and over all the installer was good and it was a one man team that worked most of the day by himself. The other occasion was to install carpet in my new home theater room which for the most part went well except one key issue. I had just had that room painted and the base board and trim in the room was painted jet black. This base board was scratched and the paint on it was damaged to the point that it is going to have to be repainted. The installers showed me after the install and told me it was inevitable that it got damaged which I honestly don't believe but have no choice to fix now. The job of the way the carpet was put down is also inconsistent as some areas in the home theater are tucked under the base board and some areas is just up against it. I was going to have them do my whole home at one point but that's off the menu. See images of home theater room after install. Another issue I will mention with this Bussiness is they tend to over measure carpet or flooring in general you need for your project. Which means they can charge you for it and eat that cost. Measure your own space and compare it with what they tell you. I had to have a separate person measure to compare to theirs which saved me money on The install. read more

Three things matter when shopping online for flooring - Price, Product and Shipping. Price and Product you have done your own research and are confident you're going with the right company. Shipping you check the website or customer service and they give you the delivery window. Floors Unlimited states "Estimated Delivery Time: 4-8 Business Days." Floors Unlimited failed big time with delivery of my order. And what's worse is they couldn't care less. They've processed your order, got your money - who are you again? My Flooring was ordered 1/28/2019. I know they have to go to the warehouse, check for the product ordered and get it prepped for shipping. On 2/7/2019 pickup request from the warehouse in Jefferson, Indiana is sent to shipping. The shipping company picks it up on 2/11 and sends it to Louisville, KY. This is 10 business days. On 2/12 it's sent to Hamilton, OH and from there it's shipped to Bolingbrook, IL where it's unloaded on 2/14. My house is in Queens, New York City. My flooring has just been shipped about 500 miles northwest to outside Chicago. I call the shipping company (On Track Shipping) and they tell me it will be shipped and I should receive it tomorrow (2/15). I check the on-line tracking the next day and it's still in Bolingbrook. Call shipping again and I'm told they are waiting for the trailer to fill up. I call Marc at Floors Unlimited and he goes on about the weather and the polar vortex and it unprecedented and I have to understand. No, I don't understand. Then he calls me rude. Finally on 2/17 at 8:00 am the trailer is dispatched to Deer Park, New York. It makes it to Gary, IN about 1:00 am on 2/18 and is finally heading east to NY and arrives in Deer Park at 4:20 pm on 2/19. When you choose Economy Delivery it's shipped to a terminal of theirs within 50 miles of our home. My flooring is being shipped to Road Runner shipping terminal in Farmingdale, NY, about 30 miles from my house. But it is now in the OnTrack terminal in Deer Park (40 mile from my house). And On Track tried shipping it to Farmingdale but Road Runner won't accept the shipment because "they don't receive any money in this transaction." I call Marc at Floors Unlimited on 2/20 and he tells me I'm wrong, his information says it's in Farmingdale. And, no surprise, there is nothing he can do. "It's the shipping company." And he is not going to refund the shipping costs because of all the aggravation I'm having. No, he again tells me about the unprecedented weather event that happened. I spend all day on the phone on 2/20 with On Track, Road Runner and Floors Unlimited to get the flooring sent to Farmingdale or my house. No luck. Finally on 2/21, I drive to Deer Park and pick up the flooring myself. Do not order from Floors Unlimited unless you have a month to wait for the flooring. It's certainly not getting there in 4- 8 business days. read more

If I could give this company no stars I would. I highly recommend you take your business somewhere else. Situation: My wife and I went to Floors Unlimited and spoke with Terry (Sales Rep) and Phil (Owner) about having our floors repaired. We explained to them we did a renovation in our kitchen and had some walls taken down. We were considering having the floors completely replaced until we showed them BOTH pictures of our floors and the owner Phil told us they could do the work and fix the floors. Terry came out and looked at the floors in person and took some pictures. He told me he was going to talk to the installer and Phil to decide on a price. A few days later Terry gave me a call with a price and we accepted. The installer then showed up and told my wife that this was an labor intensive job and that he did not want to do the work. I called the store back and Terry answered and he try to explain to me that he can not force his installer to do the work. So, I asked if he could have another installer come out and apparently that is their only wood installer. Result: I explained to Terry that him and the owner told my wife and I to our face that the could do the work and it would be no problem. I asked Terry to have the owner give me a call and he was resistant to pass my message to him, and try to say the owner will tell you nothing different. I explained to him that I still want to talk to the owner about the situation. At least have him try to explain everything and possibly help make everything right. My wife took off work that day and we put our dogs in day care ($45) so they can do they work. They wasted both our time and money. The owner would not call me to talk about the situation and did nothing to make the situation right. Terry even try to say to me that no good deed goes unpunished. Really? I am paying you for a service that your company specializes in, so how it that a good deed? You're not installing the floors for free, I am paying for it. Essentially, the installer showed up and saw the work he had to do and did not think it was worth the money that Terry and Phil quoted me at. They handled the whole situation unprofessionally and lost my business. read more

Floors Unlimited has a nice showroom with plenty of options that we could choose from. We were greeted as we walked in and felt that we were able to shop in a friendly atmosphere. t you take home samples to try out in your house My roommate and I had the Mannington Duramax waterproof laminate installed back in march. The work was completed in a timely fashion by the installer Will. He was very friendly and took his time, especially when moving the washer and dryer. He even cleaned up mess that we left behind from painting. The flooring is of great quality and we love the way it looks and feels. Its quiet and feels nicely padded. An added bonus is that it is easy to clean. Overall, we had no issues from start to finish. Phil showed up on time to estimate, the date was scheduled and completed just as we were promised. We love Floors Unlimited and will be using them in the future to replace the carpets throughout the house. Thank you guys for all your hard work. read more
