Where do I begin? The short version of this story, I was given misinformation multiple times by the…read morestaff here at bath and body works and I had a rather unpleasant experience regarding their order online pick up in store program. The long story: I ordered online a purchase for pickup, which was expected to take around four hours. Three days later it still was not done. I called twice to ask when it might be finished and both times was told that day, neither time was it actually complete. I come to find later on that they were filling orders placed after mine before mine. When I asked how long the order would be held after it was ready for pickup, I was told five days and that I would be able to pick it up after the weekend. This was incorrect and it was expected to be picked up Saturday or it would be canceled. By the time my order was ready several items were out of stock and I could no longer even get them online because of how long it took. When I contacted customer support to discuss the matter, I was told the problem would be escalated and someone would get back to me in 24 hours. Three days later, no one had gotten back to me. Needless to say, I am disappointed in the experience and will not be using this feature again.

They even do engraved piggy banks here, which make a nice gift for a new baby. (Those babies need some place to put all of their spare change.) You'll also find stationery, home goods, gourmet foods and other things that you didn't know you needed but totally do once you see it in the store. But these things would also make great gifts for a loved one, if you're looking for a gift. This boutique store has a lot of things for kids, which is neat. There's a whole little section just for kids' clothing and accessories. Mostly, though, you'll find women's clothing, women's accessories, plus random things like candles, handbags, bath bombs, hair clips and things like that. There are a lot of cool things at Scout, and you're bound to find the perfect thing that you didn't know you needed.

The owner is the operator and is very friendly. I truly hope this store does well as it fills a niche here in Lafayette that we don't have otherwise. I only worry that not enough people know about this little gem. My only "complaints" would be that I want MORE! More hours (right now they're only open from Wed-Sat 10-3 which means I can only make it on a Saturday) and more inventory! More stationary, and small inventory.

I bought a graduation bouquet from Roth's Florist for my graduation. My mom and I ordered 1.5 dozen red roses and 4 lilies, and we paid $157.29. At first, things seemed fine, although when we first walked in, the owner ignored us and did not seem interested in helping until we mentioned that our budget was $100+ for the bouquet. The real issue happened on the day of my graduation, which was also the day we picked up the flowers. My mom picked up the bouquet and immediately noticed it looked smaller than expected. She realized they had only included 1 dozen roses instead of 1.5 dozen. She went back inside, and after checking the computer, they added the missing half dozen roses. However, when we got home, we noticed the arrangement did not look good. It seemed like the extra roses were just added in without properly rearranging the bouquet. Because of that, we opened the bouquet to look more closely, and I realized they had only included 3 lilies instead of 4. I called the florist to ask what happened. The owner told me they deliberately did not include the 4th lily because it had not bloomed on time. Honestly, the lily not blooming was never the problem for me. I would have understood if they had simply explained that ahead of time. The problem was that they did not tell us at pickup, did not offer a solution, and only admitted it after I called. This was also about two hours before my graduation, which made the situation even more stressful. When I explained that I paid for 4 lilies and only received 3, the owner became hostile and dismissive. She said it was "not a big deal," but it was a big deal to me because this bouquet was for my graduation. She then said, "Fine, come back and get your $5," and HUNG UP ON ME. That felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I went back to the store, and thankfully the person there was not the owner. They gave me the missing lily, although it had not bloomed, which again was never the issue for me. The real issue was the way everything was handled: first the missing roses, then the missing lily, then the attitude, the lack of responsibility, and the way my concern was belittled. I also want to be honest that, as an Asian customer, this experience made me uncomfortable. My mom does not speak English fluently, and I could not help but feel that this may have made it easier for our concerns to be brushed off. I am not claiming to know the owner's intentions, but the way we were initially ignored and later dismissed made us feel belittled, unwelcome, and not taken seriously. If my mom and I had not checked carefully, we would have been missing half a dozen roses and one lily from an order we paid $157.29 for. As a customer, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect to receive what I paid for, especially for an important occasion. If you decide to order from this florist, I would strongly recommend checking your bouquet carefully before leaving and not expecting friendly customer service.

Chris has picked out an incredible and knowledgeable team. I know absolutely nothing about flowers, or what flowers would look great with what. But every time I've been in, they either have a stunning bouquet in their easy grab pots, all with a variety of flowers and prices, or the team can put together a personalized and uniquely yours bouquet for whatever you need. My wife has always lit up to whatever I bring home, but there's really something bigger about her excitement when she sees something from these guys. She usually ends up keeping them and storing them long term some how. They also have walk in specials which are super great. The bouquet of roses far beats the prices and quality of anywhere else I've ever bought. Not to mention you can customize the prize because you can buy by flower. I've walked in and gave them my price range and the types of flowers I think I've seen around the house and what my wife likes, and in a matter of minutes I'm given a beautifully wrapped bouquet in the color of tissue and ribbon I've picked out. These guys are incredible always., but you will be in special luck to see Morgan if ya pop on. She is so awesome and really personalized a beautiful bouquet for me. Plus they support local it looks like because there's a bunch of Knick knacks and plant stuff and decor stuff for sale in there as well. It's a cool spot for something out of the ordinary.
