There is no distinction in dropping off a package, picking up a package, or returns. Same person for both. No one at the desk apparently. The gentleman was looking for someone's package. The line kept growing and growing. No one came up to assist. Man came out of the. Finally, a lady came to the desk. Efficiency is not their forte. The store is nice and clean. Prices for the same brands are much cheaper elsewhere. Variety is very scarce. Probably would never use it as my main grocery pickup. Noted a lady looking for a wheelchair for her mother; none available. read more

It's been an especially hard month for we elder millennials. We know tax breaks for the rich and corporations are coming. We know student loan forgiveness is going to be pushed back at least 4 more years. We know our taxes are probably going to be higher and that the middle class has no chance of surviving, as it will be the Have-Nots vs. the Have-Yachts. We know corporate profits have never been higher, price gauging is out in the open and rampant. "But at least," Single fathers like me used to say, "we have Target." Yes, a company that may be a little more expensive than the empires of Wal-mart or Amazon, but we shopped there knowing they were moral, paying their employees a decent wage, and valuing their customers. And what more could a single father of young children want more than the return policy at Target for their brand "Cat & Jack." The last bastion of morality from a company that makes 5 billion in profits each year, Target allowed parents to return Cat & Jack children's clothing in any condition from any time and get a lovely target gift card to use on next season's clothing, because the leaders at Target knew that children's clothes don't last long and they're not cheap. I went to participate in this morally wonderful program today, and knowing full well that the company made 48% more in profits from last year, the manager behind the desk told me "We're moving away from that policy. Now we need a receipt or proof of purchase, and it has to be within the last year." In this economy, it's embarrassing enough to have to participate in this program to provide clothing for my children but imagine when most of my returns were rejected outright. Kids don't wear out clothing in one year. And parents don't keep receipts or always use the same card or the @Target Circle app. We do what we can when we can. So, what Target has done is said to itself, "Yes, we made more in corporate profits than ever this year, but ya know who we could stomp on a bit? Single parents! Let's not remove our return policy with Cat & Jack, let's just make it impossible for it to work for parents!" Why would I shop at Target again? Why buy their brands? Why not go cheaper to their competitors, Wal-Mart, Amazon, so many others? I didn't go because Target was fun. I went to Target because I was told it was a company that cared. But, like all the big corporations in America these days, Target has lost itself and erased the last bit of morality and generosity towards its customers in the pursuit of profits profits profits! I recently went here yesterday with my kids. We always go here and I thought of giving a review. When I tell you my kids LOVE this place I mean it. The workers are so nice and help you find what your looking for. They are always stocked on what my kids need, or want. My kids especially my 9 year old are always begging to go. The store recently remodeled. And while it looks nice and updated, it seems to my eyes that they now carry a lower selection of items in many of the areas of the store. I'd say the selections in Men's clothing, certain homegoods, and toys are half of what they were before the remodel. Not that the departments are smaller, they still take up about the same space, but are just spread out less inventory more thinly. The flip side is it does seem like the home furnishings, electronics, and groceries are larger or at least more robust. I guess the remodel was good for some and not so much for others. A lot of the things I came here for are now near non-existent in the store. read more

Recently updated with fresh style, cool lighting, and (finally) music adding a nice alternative to the stale Walmarts, Aldi, Meijer, and Payless options for big shopping. This location features limited hours but a great selection of brands and easy shopping experience. By far the smoothest self-checkout I've ever gone through, the scanner rang up one item twice because I moved it slowly thru anticipating the awkward wait as the scale typically does its thing before letting the next item get scanned. Would almost come here exclusively for that fast scanning but prices are higher here. Meijer, Payless Grocery, Walmart, and Aldi don't have the modern feel but do have lower prices. Meijer and Payless have way more brands as well. I sadly noticed no discount isles or shelves for nearly expired inventory and B Grade produce (why do you guys throw all that stuff away? it's totally fine and good eating!). With Fresh Thyme nearby, Target is a difficult place to stay loyal to. Not enough brands, higher prices, limited saving opportunities, and not open 24/7. read more

Well, they finally got this place remodeled. It was nightmare for a few months. Target is a step up from Kohl's and a giant leap up from Walmart. This location is nicer now that it's remodeled, and there is a Starbucks inside. read more

I am a graduate student at Purdue, and this Target has quickly become my go-to store for just about everything. I feel like I have become ingrained into some sort of Target culture, because I compulsively use all of their services to save money. I signed up for their REDcard debit card, which is incredibly convenient. I didn't want or need another credit card, so it's nice that just by holding their debit card, I still get 5% off whenever I shop here. They also offer the Cartwheel app, which allows you to scan items as well as shop deals on your phone. It will generate a barcode which will apply any discounts at the end of your transaction once scanned. Using these two services, I can easily save 10% or more off my trip each time. So with that in mind, I will also say that this is one of the nicer Target stores I've been to. It is massive, and the grocery section has pretty much everything you could need. Because it is near a college campus, it can get incredibly packed, especially on the weekends and the weeks before classes. I can't fault the store for that though, that's just the nature of the location. The nice part about that is that they often have deals on college necessities like bedding and chairs. Sure, there are cheaper stores out there, but if you're smart about using the apps and discounts, prices are more than reasonable. It's well worth the quality of products and cleanliness of the store. The selection is fantastic as well. Target also has some of the most painless self checkouts around. They don't constantly whine about things like most others tend to... Overall, I love this location. read more

This location was a weird mish-mash of the newer super-store grocery and old school, neon-signage Target. It was a little more difficult to navigate than some of the smaller and updated stores I've visited, but still a Target, still addictive to shop at. The bathrooms were clean, and the parking lot fairly simple to navigate. I easily returned a pair of gloves to customer service that I no longer needed, with no hassle and no wait. read more

Here's how you handle this kind of unexpected disruption: 1) SMILE! 2) Tell people what's going on. 3) Rip open a bunch of bags of chocolate and hand them out. Use it as a great opportunity to bank some goodwill! People will appreciate it. It's easy. I'm not from Lafayette, but it's about the halfway point for a quick dinner meeting with friends who usually are running late. What do I do to kill time when I arrive in Lafayette? Well, I usually swing by Target to see if they have anything different than the Indy stores, and can usually find things that are out of stock in Indy, or different scents/sizes of Method cleaning products. read more

I can never seem to find anyone in this store that works there. Even if I have a question that may lead to me actually buying something, it takes a huge effort to be blue to find someone to answer it. I like the updates with the remodel. However, the check out lanes are slow and the workers unprofessional. The person checking me out was ringing up some coworkers ahead of me; they stopped after each item to chat with each other about various topics including complaining about their jobs. When it was finally my turn the cashier asked how I was, I replied and asked them in return. At which point they started complaining about how long they had to work that day (7.5 hours). I found this unprofessional and wasn't sure how to respond. I realize that there are other places they'd rather be on a Saturday afternoon, but as a customer service employee you should not be complaining to the customers, just smile and act like there's no place you'd rather be. read more

I went shopping at this Target to buy supplies for my dorm room. The store stocks their shelves well and were quite well prepared for the back to school rush. The staff was very helpful and Allan was very nice and helped my mom and me as we blundered about forgetting things. How much you love this store will depend on what you want/need. They certainly have more trendy clothes and accessories than Walmart, but not always the best quality (more Forever 21 type thin materials and washes of colors). They have a great variety of books, films and hair/body products, but Walmart has taken up the bath and body products pretty good too and they're usually at least a few $ less. Their tchotchkes are good and unique, but expensive for what you get. Ultimately, Target is the place to go if you want a higher end or trendy product and are already in the department store and not feeling another stop at a boutique on the way home. The grocery store: this is entirely dependent on the season. I began coming in the spring and thought their produce looked so fresh, not as much variety as Meijer down the road but about the same (but more organic) as the Payless. However, by mid-summer I began to drop by and noticed there would be no berries, or grapes, etc--things all grocery stores carry that time of the year. Now, in Fall, I notice they have the produce but it's far from fresh and it's expensive. Also, I've bought 2 rotisserie chickens here and one didn't seem to be done enough and had an excess of fat inside (very slimy, couldn't tell if it was that it wasn't done or if it was fat), as well as being generally on the small side, and the second, while done, still had more fat than usual (even a Walmart bird) and less meat than most. Also, the second one I bought had a clear 3, for 3:30 when it was made, then they clearly put a 7, for 7:30, over it (I bought at 7:45). If you're debating between the two big box grocery stores, Walmart or Target, you're going to get fresher food, more organic and pre-made options, and more variety at Target. But, Meijer will match those things and most likely outdo them, though it's not as organized. What you can't beat is their customer service! I never feel like I'm being rushed at the checkout, and there's usually always someone in an aisle or nearby one that can get the NeuroSleep off the top shelf for me :) read more

Tim, the electronics guy, is a complete dick. I had been waiting for the new Halo game to come out, and when i ended up calling I wanted to double check if they still had it available. He said they were sold out and were getting a new shipment at 8 pm that night. I called around 805 asking how many were left and if i hauled ass there i could get one. He said (without actually checking, which is the main reason i called) that there were at least 100 copies in stock. Realistically it turned out the shipment came earlier and there were actually 0 copies, had he actually checked i would have known not to bother hauling ass down to target. When I get there he is a dick about it, saying my taste in video games needs improvement. I stated that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but he proceeded to go on about it. He completely made me regret choosing target as the place to try to buy video games, and I'm fairly certain that was the last time ill ever go there. *I ended up telling a coworker about it and he coincidentally went to target for the same game and said that Tim had ended up "helping" him too, and he was a dick to him about the new halo game too. read more
