Can I say yum enough? I was looking for a birthday cake for my adult son and ran into some difficulty locating one since it was also graduation day. When I walked into the bakery upon being suggested by a friend I was greeted by the owner Nia who seemed like she always has a smile on her face. Although they did not have any full cakes I was curious to taste a cupcakes. I picked out a red velvet medium size cupcake to go. As I said in the car I kept contemplating whether I should try it immediately or wait. It wasn't long before I took a bite out of it and what a delight it was. The frosting was a perfect combination with the red velvet cake. I enjoyed it so much that I went back later to pick up a dozen more medium cupcakes and 4 large cupcakes for my son. My son and daughter-in-law enjoy the cupcakes with the frosting was a little different for them. If you're used to store bought pre-made cupcakes this will be a new experience for you. I highly suggest you give them a try. Whether you previously had red velvet cake or not this would be the place to truly experience a flavorful experience. Best cupcakes EVER! They're not only soft in texture, but their flavors are incredibly savory. My family has been following the bakers for a while now, most especially Nia. She created beautiful cakes for our birthday party in 2015. I really appreciated that she took the time to get the colors and taste palette perfect! So, we called this bakery AFTER they were closed--we were in a bind!! We Yelped the closest bakery to our house and we didn't even realize they were closed already. Nia answered the phone and heard the desperation in my voice and she offered me a solution and allowed me to pick up cupcakes for my daughter's birthday in 10 minutes!!! Wow this is very unprofessional! We made an appointment for cake tasting at 9 am which was her time option or 10am and we got here a few minutes before 9 am and the place is closed! We waited 20 minutes and nothing, never coming back or will trust this place , by the way we hated your sign on the door with your time schedule, who puts 8ish-11ish?! Well I had high hopes but was highly disappointed I went in based on yelp reviews and heard from a few people who have used this bakery. I went in and they lady who took my order was super friendly and courteous. Same goes for the lady at the counter when I picked up my cake. The cake itself tasted good, I chose vanilla and chocolate both flavors were good. Here's where I was disappointed, the cake color was not what I asked for. Navy blue and white were the colors I chose. The blue was just way off, it looked awful and clashed. I chose a simple look for the cake, I wanted simple and elegant and what I got was simple and juvenile; that's the best way I can describe it. I expressed how unhappy I was and the lady apologized, profusely and even cut down the cost. Which was appreciated and something she didn't have to offer. I wanted the cake to be the centerpiece of table at the restaurant where we were celebrating at but instead I was so embarrassed by it, I had the waiter put it in the back and when it came time to serve I just cut it real quick and threw the rest away. read more

I could not be more disappointed with the service I received at this bakery. I let the young lady know when I came in that I was looking for gluten free items, she gave me a few options and I selected one of them. As she was putting it together I noticed she placed some cookies on top from a bin in the bakery, they looked like Oreos so I asked her if they were also gluten free. She told me they weren't Oreos but another brand, so I again asked if they were gluten free. She begins to scrape them off and says, "they are just cookies they aren't going to kill anyone". I explained that if they weren't gluten free they would make me quite sick. She continues to scrape off the top layer and redo that part, then hands it to me and says "no death". I only had a couple of bites of the treat, but I have spent the last two days very sick. I was disappointed to find out this young lady is actually the owner of the bakery, she was very rude and clearly has no understanding of food allergies or concern for her customers. read more

The best cupcakes in the AV! The chocolate cupcake topped with salted caramel buttercream and toffee bits is absolutely delicious. It's by far my favorite cupcake on the planet. The Queen of Hearts is a great choice too. Red Velvet is delicious on it's own but adding chocolate chips is a game changer. I would love to see a banana cupcake filled with marshmallow cream topped with peanut butter buttercream and a crunchy granola like topping made of walnuts, crushed graham crackers and vanilla wafers or something similar. I really want them to make a Snickerdoodle cupcake topped with a mini soft Snickerdoodle cookie. These humble flavor suggestions were brought to you by my love of Fluffernutter sandwiches and cinnamon sugar. A cotton candy cupcake would be amazing too lol.
