I wish I could give Julie even more stars!…read more My husband Tyler passed away in May after a long and challenging battle with cancer. After his passing I knew I did not want the memorial to be anything less than a beautiful celebration of his life with a focus on the person Tyler always was-- beyond his cancer. We began planning in June and with Julie's help we put together the most loving and beautiful celebration with over 300 friends and family. Our event was on a beautiful sunny day in October at the ESB in University Place, Washington, overlooking Puget Sound. Julie was professional in every way, helping to find vendors to cater, offer options for music, video, even helping family and I navigate the challenges of putting together a program, designing the paper program, figuring out layout in event space we rented, the list goes on. I was grateful to be able to call her with quick questions, problem solve with her and even, dare I say, navigate the loving but often challenging family dynamics that come with planning such an event in the midst of deep grief. Her compassion was immeasurable. And, in addition to the lead up, there were 1 million things to keep track of on the day.
