The haircut I received is the single worst haircut I have had in decades. I can do nothing with my hair, and I am headed to Mill Valley today, 3 weeks later, for another senior hair stylist appointment to fix Aliena's sub-par work. The blow dry I received also is in the running for the worst ever received. I went straight home after the appointment rather than do my errands bc I looked so terrible and my hair was still damp. I've been going to michelle for over 15 years. The one review that says they weren't comfortable must have had a bad day. Michelle is the best!!! Michelle was a Doctor back in Russia, that's why getting a bikini wax doesn't bother me.. She's professional, sweet, and has always treated me as if it was my first time going there. Her place is quiet, immaculate and relaxing and private, not a busy, rush around Spa. She is constantly updating her skills and learning about new products. It's on a busy street but super quiet inside and plenty of parking in the back. Her facials are the best I've ever had and I've tried a few others when I travel. My daughter went off to college and tried other places for her eyebrows and gave up. She'll only go to Florencia now. She's one of a kind!!! just now I have gone to Michelle for facials for more than 15 years. With her medical background and training as an esthetician, I trust Michelle to understand what is going on with my health and my sensitive skin and to select the correct treatments and products for me to use. Michelle creates a relaxing environment--her studio is spotlessly clean, attractive and welcoming. She works with only one person at a time which I appreciate. I only use Michelle's natural, plant-based products daily and recommend them. She has a nice line of make up and perfumes, too. Michelle is very professional, gracious and a lot of fun--making sure her clients have the best possible treatment is her passion. She is an expert on skin care and resolving skin conditions- not just a pampering experience (which it is), but real clinical experience- she totally knows what she's doing. I am frequently complimented on my skin and I owe it to my monthly facials with Michelle. Her products are excellent and prices are less than what you find in department stores. MIchelle is great - so professional and knowledgeable. I never was a 'regular' for facials or waxing until I met Michelle and Florencia. She makes it a relaxing experience so that I leave refreshed as well as glowing. She evaluated my skin and chose the right facial for me and I now rarely ever wear makeup as my skin looks so healthy. I can't say that I enjoy the waxing, but her professionalism makes it as easy to get through as possible, and I never feel awkward or embarrassed. I was charged twice for the same service, and when I brought the issue to the attention of the owner, Deanne, the interaction became extremely unprofessional. I was spoken to harshly and dismissed rather than helped. This was after already waiting over 30 minutes for my appointment. What concerned me most was that my card on file was charged again for a service I had already paid for. When I followed up repeatedly regarding the duplicate charge and the promotional balance I believed I was owed, I received inconsistent explanations and was ultimately told that I was not owed anything. The core issue is that the promotional offers I purchased were not honored as advertised. I have copies of the original email promotions and receipts documenting my purchases, yet the terms of the promotions were later disputed. I was also sent an invoice indicating a refund amount that did not match what I had actually paid, and no corresponding refund was received. At this point, I am pursuing the matter through the Better Business Bureau and the appropriate state board. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatments there to consider another clinic or at the very least keep detailed records of all promotions, receipts, and communications. Based on my experience, I would not advise proceeding with this clinic.
