My first appointment went ok - not too many issues. When I returned for my second appointment a month later, an appointment that was booked in the salon and with the reminders that were sent from the system, I showed up and waited outside in the cold, thinking she was with a client in the back. I text her saying I was outside. After some time, I was informed that my appointment was in the "old system" (how does a business owner change systems without informing clients and rebooking appointments that have been on the schedule for a month?!) and she was off but to go back the following Monday at 2. I confirmed what services were needed and gave her the benefit of the doubt and scheduled my day to be back at the date and time she gave. Monday at 2 I show up again and my gut knew what was going to happen - I stood outside again in the cold...I text the same number she had previously replied with and NO DANG RESPONSE! (No apology, no communication what so ever!) Very unprofessional and just plain RUDE. If I'm late or cancel there is a cancelation fee - where's my money for the two times I was ghosted?! Then one day I was on Groupon, and I came across Skin Logic in Petaluma, they had some great deals on everything like microdermabrasion facials and sugar waxing. Of course I checked them out on Yelp, and decided to purchase 2 of their services. I got a facial for boyfriend and a Brazilian sugar wax for myself. On both visits Liz was out girl. My boyfriend enjoyed his facial and his skin looked nice and refreshing after his appointment! He was glowing for sure! Loved it! LIZ is so amazing at what she does!!! She is very professional and super friendly. She thoroughly explained each process and answered all of my questions! I was so impressed with my result. Moving to petaluma I didn't think I would get my beauty/self care treatments up to my standards now that I live in a smaller city, but girl I was in for a surprise. So i started my search to get my eyebrows done & I came upon Skin logic. Being middle eastern your eyebrows are your pride & babies. So I was very hesitant. I looked up the instagram page & I saw great eyebrows done by Leah the owner so I felt a bit more at ease and made my appointment. They are located at the Plaza north center next to the Subway. The shop is very dainty & small with a warm welcoming decor of pink & gold pallet. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Then Leah welcomed me & walked me to the room for my appointment. She is a very warm & easy going person at my first encounter with her. Then I proceeded to tell her about how I wanted my eyebrows to be threaded with the shape & the thickness I wanted. I think she found out I was very meticulous about my eyebrows :) & gave me the exact results I asked her. I was beyond overjoyed because phewwwwww!!!! I was nervous going in what Im coming out with! My babies (eyebrows) were in great experienced hands & now I have my new go to spot. She offers a lot of amazing services such as waxing, sugaring, facials & she even makes her own facial treatments & masks as skin logic products. The prices are very reasonable considering her expertise, My eyebrow threading ended up being around 20$ at the time. I am very disappointed. I thought with the high reviews on Yelp that this was a safe bet. It didn't turn out that way for me. When I looked at my brows in the mirror afterwards I noticed a gap, and I asked what that was. The person simply responded that I needed to get eyebrow tinting. I was stressed all the way home afraid about what I would see when I looked in the mirror more closely. It was just as bad as I had thought. The person must have plucked hairs in the middle of my right brow as there was never a gap there before. Also, at a closer glance they are completely uneven and one brow is thicker than the other by far. Lia answered my call and informed me that they are closed but since she only lives 5 mins. away, she would gladly see me. I love this little spot!! I called earlier in the morning to make a same day appointment and luckily they had some available. I have been here before and I fell in love with this place, so peaceful so calm and fresh! As soon as you walk in your greeted by Lia! She definitely give you a wave of good vibes Lia greets you with excitement and is so very sweet. Everything is so well placed and the zen feels great! The fresh sent of lavender and rose is a plus as well! Lia took me back to the first room where everything was so clean and fresh. With a very comfortable bed to lay on and the sheets smelt fresh as well. I laid down and Lia began to do her magic! She did not use your typical strip with hot wax (which rips off the skin in my right eye) she used a hard wax which she places on and it's not hot at all and as soon as it's harden she take it off with such grace! I went in for a brazillian sugaring, and it was by far the best experience for a wax of my life. I do have sensitive skin so it was nice to try something so natural, she even has treatment for ingrown hairs. Lia, was wonderful and I enjoyed talking to her (it's so hard to find people who are so easy going in this industry). I boldly asked her if she could recommend these services, and she kindly gave me a list. She added, "If you must go to only one, go to Lia, the wax technician, for your Brazilian." Lia is a real pro, works fast, is practically painless, friendly and, what perhaps impressed me most of all was that she listened and had a good sense of what is appropriate for what age. I met Lia at a bar last year. I gave Lia a call after my regular aesthetician suddenly went into early labor. I texted her and she said she could see me at 5:00 pm for a Brazilian. I show up at 5:00 and the door is locked, the lights are on, but she is nowhere to be found. I call her repeatedly. No answer. I text her. No response. I left a comment on an Instagram photo about her conduct and she deleted it. Four calls and three texts didn't merit a response from her. I am not questioning her talent, but to blow off a client who was depending on you is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and rude. Evidently she recently rebranded her business after this behavior became common at her original location, unsurprisingly under a different name. Take your chances with this one. Update: After seeing this review, Lia finally contacted me acknowledging that she blew off the appointment and asked me to take down the review. Sorry, Lia. Prospective clients need to be aware of the risk they take making an appointment with you. read more
