I swear, this little salon must be one of the best kept beauty secrets in Petaluma. I first found Carly when I was looking for someone to wax my eyebrows and I chose her because of the great reviews. She's been doing my eyebrow and lip waxes for the last year and I can't imagine trusting my face to anyone else. She's the consummate professional and super personable which made me feel comfortable from our very first appointment. More recently, I decided on a facial and to get serious about my skincare. The facial was calming and wonderful, my skin felt like a million bucks. I bought the starter skincare kit and after a week my skin is glowy, it feels healthy and the dry red patches on my cheeks have subsided substantially. I have been struggling with a messed up left eyebrow since I hurt myself the day after my fifth birthday. I have spent so much money trying different things, short of getting micro blading done. CARLY is my skin angel sent to help bring my skin back to life! I have acne prone skin and have always had issues taming the inflammation and texture. My first facial with Carly I knew I had hit the jackpot!! She customized my facial depending on the areas of skin on my face. She spot treated my problem area (chin) and it made all the difference. Had my first facial at Stardust today! Valerie was super professional, warm & friendly, and thorough as she gently layered lovely aromatic cleansers, peels, and moisturizers. She explained every layer and how/why she applied them in the order she did and what might work well for ongoing everyday or weekly use. Even had her tint my eyebrows while one of the layers soaked in. :-) Just a wonderful Saturday morning in a pretty and relaxing environment. To give full props, Eva, the shear-colour-master is a gem, too! Discovered her a few months ago and am super happy with what she has been able to do with my "new" hair - she covers the gray and manages the frizz. Carly is a lash GODDESS! I don't know how she does it, but her lashes are the floofiest and prettiest I've ever had. I prefer a hybrid lash, mix of classics and volume, but I am kind of an anxious person and so I twitch a lot, making the volume lashes a bit of a challenge. She is great at putting me at ease and working around my twitchy eyes. She has taping methods that can help in addition to a relaxed and comfortable environment, complete with mood music to your taste and a heated blanket (optional). Not only that but, I have been to a few lash places over the last 4 years, and have always thought I was "sensitive" to the glue. With Carly my eyes don't get red, water, or sting. I asked her if she uses a special glue and she informed me that if you tape too close to the eye that is what causes the redness and watering. No more 2 day redness and stinging after my lashes! Carly makes a point of continuing her education and keeping up to date with the latest technologies, methods, and trends. BONUS: she is hilarious and sweet as pie.
