We were even able to sit with and adjust the electronic designs in their studio. They subcontracted with a painter who did great work and was really easy to work with. The guys from J&J were responsive and did things when they said they would. We were not super picky, but when we asked them to move a knob or drill an additional hole, they were happy to do it. We are very happy with their work and will go with them next time we want to get something done.

I have a new patio cover installed last week that I am pleased with. Much like several of the reviews already posted, I found communication and accuracy lacking in office-to-shop staff. The initial project bid was conducted in a thorough fashion by Richard who did respond via e-mail to my inquiries about changes to the initial contract. However, it took two rounds of communication with office staff to get a signed copy of the contract change agreement. Shortly after contracting for a patio cover, I received a lengthy e-mail with attachments from the 'production manager' which contained conflicting information about the delivery of materials. I had scheduled other work to be performed on my property contingent upon the delivery [date] and installation of this project. I received a call a day early that materials were being delivered but was unavailable to pay for the materials. I explained this to the driver who was courteous and understanding about the miscommunication. We agreed that I would mail the check since the miscommunication about the delivery date was "on them". I called the production manager to inform her of this and she had the audacity to argue the conflicting communication with me. Fortunately, I was where another person heard this conversation. I confirmed the installation date with her to make sure that was correct. I received a call from the installer on the first day of [expected] installation informing me that he could not come that day. He did arrive the next morning as promised and immediately saw that not all materials were delivered. He made calls and had the remainder pieces delivered a couple hours later. There was still a slotted panel missing, however, which meant he would not be able to complete the job that day as he'd intended. Luckily I had cleared my calendar for the following day in case of any further issues and was glad I did. The installer's frustration with the inefficiencies put on him was palpable, but he was courteous and respectful toward me the entire time. He stayed in communication with me and let me know exactly what would occur next in the process to correct the order and delivery errors. He stated several times that, regardless of the mistakes made before him, his main concern was my satisfaction and that I be happy with the final [installation of] product. The patio cover has since been cleared by the city building inspector. Life is good. Commendation to installers Enrique and Adrian for doing what they said they would and doing it well! These guys are amazing…read more We had damaged subfloor in the kitchen that needed to be replaced. They were in and out in 3 days, subfloor replaced, flooring replaced, trim repaired, all electrical and plumbing repaired, AND crappy old kitchen cupboards removed and then reinstalled without any damage either to the cupboards nor the tile backsplash. This was all done last week. We just had a second contractor get back to us with a late estimate for the same job, insisting that the kitchen cupboards would almost certainly fall apart and need to be replaced (for more money obviously). So we sent a photo of the job already done with cupboards intact. We will only be hiring JJ from now on.

Cloud Nine Construction company installed a shower in my guest bath that we have had nothing but…read moreproblems. The shower backs to my hall wood floor....within a short time I noticed bumbles appearing in my wood floor and I contacted the floor person.....bumbles in the wood is water damage!! By means of attempting several solutions to no avail, we have to totally tear down and redo after only 3 1/2 yrs. We realized the leaking has to be an issue under the floor......The pan was put in wrong, so it drained out around it in one of the corners! The Cloud Nine owner, Gilbert, refused to assist when I wanted to find out who installed the glass doors as we were trying to attempt to have more reap holes drilled thinking that might help drainage! His response, was, it's no longer under warranty! You don't care about warranty when your trying to fix a leaking problem damaging your floor. The attitude of the owner was uncooperative. Their Installation was not done correctly and has had cost & headaches to try to fix! No stars from my experience with Cloud Nine Construction!

It wasn't easy with major rock outcroppings, a steep hill and limited access for equipment. We were adding about 500 square feet of new living space, a large waterproof deck above the living space and two additional lower decks. We needed a contractor who was confident and competent in tackling such a challenge. From the moment we met Bill, we had a great feeling that he and his crew were the ones we would be able to trust to get this done with the quality we expected. They did not disappoint at all. We had a tight schedule to fit this in between busy summer rental seasons and he and his crew worked around harsh winter weather conditions, the remote location and the challenging build site to pull it off. He even helped us navigate working with the architect and pushing the permits over the line. Not only that, we had a number of construction modifications once we got into the project and he was a great collaborator in talking through the options, being flexible and coming up with solutions that took what was in our heads and making them come to life.
