They had an empty home to clean and couldn't even wipe dust off surfaces. They did not clean out any cabinets or drawers. The brand new carpet was dirtier when they left than before they arrived. As far as I can tell, they sprayed some air freshener and then left. Stupidly, I paid for this right away and told them they did a good job because I figured who the hell would advertise themselves as a cleaning service if they, you know, don't actually clean anything? Lesson learned, and an expensive one -- $1700 for a "move-in house cleaning" and window washing. And then to top it off, one of the employees felt that he could be sexist and rude to my wife because she was not the one who originally contacted them. They also refused to return my money. I am now very disappointed with the way she has handled my account and I can not recommend her services. While I was traveling for business overseas, my house sitter got everything ready for Maria and her team to clean the house as scheduled, except she accidentally forgot to put the key in the hiding spot. Maria called my cell phone but my number is not active when I am out of the country so I didn't get her message. My house sitter emailed me and we decided to leave two payments for Maria on the next scheduled cleaning day because I didn't want Maria to lose the income for the day she couldn't get in. Well, when the next cleaning day came, I was still traveling so my house sitter made sure to have the key and payments ready, but Maria didn't show up. When I finally got home and turned on my cell phone I heard the message from Maria and I called her right away. She didn't pick up so I left a long voice mail apologizing and explaining what happened. No reply. I also texted her with a similar message, twice. No reply. Finally, another scheduled cleaning day arrived and I still had not heard from Maria. I texted her again asking if I was still on her schedule, yes or no? No reply, and Maria did not show up again. I just don't think I deserved to be snubbed and ignored because of the one mistake of not putting the key out. I suppose I could've had my house sitter call Maria, but I just figured I would pay for the missed day and all would be okay. I feel like I at least deserved a call back, even if it was just to say she was taking me off her schedule. Oh and most of those reviews are because she offered a discount for a yelp review. I have a feeling that if you don't give 5 stars (I gave 4 in my original review) then you will be punished. Sorry Maria, if you want a thriving business you can't treat your customers rudely!
