I was looking forward to stop by and pick up some oranges and bring it back to NY. We purchased 2 bags of oranges $26.95 each and a dozen of peaches at $9.99. One lady bag the oranges for me and the other lady insist I buy some peaches as they just came in today. Spent a total of $72.47 to found out both bags of oranges have rotten oranges inside with molds on it. Now I have to toss out the surrounding oranges as well as it was contaminated with the molds. The dozen of peaches we purchased were all "black" inside and uneatable. What a waste of money and disappointment. read more

I don't understand how this is still allowed? Also we arrived there unknowingly about this to just get gas. Attendant followed us around store saying we close in 10 minutes. They close at 9. This place is the definition of a 2-star experience. Dirty outdated bathroom, can only pay inside for overpriced (probably watered-down) gas, and greeted by a cranky woman behind the counter. And for some reason, there are two buildings about 100 yards from each other that are both the same thing. "The one over here's bigger and has the gators" said cranky lady. Funny. But I got myself a cool $12 gator tooth necklace and a $2 wooden ring. And yes, you can get one little shot of free juice (not the best). Anybody who was surprised by the false advertising on the billboards is pitifully gullible. Were you really expecting the run-down tourist trap on the side of the interstate to have a live 12-foot gator? The 1-star reviews are a bit of an overreaction. However, I'm still rating it low because they try to bribe you to leave a good review by offering you an item out of a bowl of little trinkets and tchotchkes. Literally every bottle of sauce was expired. Probably still edible, but no guarantee. The citrus part is some OJ, but you can find a hell of a lot more at any local grocery store. This was an interesting stop, as long as you accept that it exists to draw in the tourists. We were only stopping in to get some gas and get back on the road. Though I noticed the mounds of oranges outside, we intended to top off the tank and get going. There was a sign that stated gas was 5 cents more per gallon if you didn't pay cash inside. Boooo!!!! This place was already 10 cents higher than the Exxon across the street, so the upcharge seemed silly. For that reason, I don't really recommend you come here for the gas station or if you're in a rush. The upshot of going inside was a chance to use a restroom, get some snacks and damn, it's a gift shop! There's nothing really unique about the gifts, but it's a huge selection in everything Florida and knick knacky. This is the perfect spot when you are leaving the state and realize "Oh crap, all those people want souvenirs!" There were a variety of Florida themes- dolphins, beach, gators, palm trees. Each theme could be found in a variety of gifts like shot glasses, plates, snow globes, stuffed animals, paper weights, ashtrays, etc. So I honestly do give them props for the selection and making it a place you can stop to get something for everyone's preference. Outside there are mounds of oranges and other produce as well. Inside there was honey, jam and various candies. They also advertise boiled peanuts... which I am assuming is a Florida thing. I mean, I didn't do my research and ask a Floridian, but it was in every gas station so that's my new stereotype, I guess. The bathrooms got the job done and the woman at the counter kept everyone moving. They also have a tank full of baby gators that drew everyone's attention, so that was pretty cool. I did notice some older reviews were very upset about signs that lied about free orange juice. I suppose I could have missed it, but I saw no such advertising. I am pretty sure I would have noticed- free stuff is my jam! I guess that's an old issue. So to recap: You want to stare at baby gators? Sure, you can do that here. You want gas? Nah, go elsewhere. You want oranges? They got plenty! You want free orange juice? No! Stop spreading lies! You want boiled peanuts? Yeah, here and everywhere else, I guess. You just realized you are a terrible niece/coworker/friend/daughter/fight club member and forgot to get a souvenir for your uncle/boss/friend/mom/fight club member, oh no!!! There are a ton of Florida Citrus Centers along I-75 but I have always been partial to only 2 of them. Anytime I am visiting family in Gainesville I always find myself en route to Orlando to enjoy some type of theme park getaway. On the way back up I always stop at one of these centers to enjoy some fresh squeezed orange juice and look at the alligators. Some of the best OJ I have ever had in my entire life and I guess it's the simple things that make me enjoy my yearly Florida trips even more. 2/4/22 very disappointed with quality of fruit There were moldy oranges in the single sections. I asked the cashiers if they could show me the latest fruit that was dropped off. They said they couldn't tell how fresh the fruit was that was in the bags. Desperate for fruit as gifts so I bought a bag of oranges & grapefruit - no way to check the contents. Easy access on and off the interstate. I stop for oranges and grapefruit I purchased five bags of oranges two bags of grapefruit. The samples they gave me were delicious Lee sweet not very pretty little off-season but they were delicious. I drove 900 miles and got home distributed my fruit to friends and family and found that almost half out of each bag were molded and rotten. There is no way to replace these I will never again purchase fruit that I cannot handpick. $100 thrown away for misrepresenting their fruit as being good I don't know where they got their samples from but they were not from my bags. I was clearly over charged. When I brought it to the cashiers attention she was very rude and called me a liar when I clearly showed her her mistake. A man came to assist and attempted to fix it. I was still over charged $14, I tried to show her but she still had an attitude. So my loss whatever. A cheesy roadside stand that's advertised heavily on I-75. The knickknacks & gifts aren't super over priced, but a lot of them are just your typical Florida souvenir you can find in just about every store in the state. What I stopped for was some oranges! Had a sliver of each kind which helped me decide which one to buy. Temple oranges were my choice. It was $9.99 for a large bag. I ate one today and they are delicious! Anyway, I'm not sure if you can find them cheaper if your willing to drive around back roads but for a I-75 road tripper heading home wanting a last minute stop for some Florida oranges, this worked out just fine. We stop each year here on our way back north. They always have friendly helpful staff. Greetings to us from everyone. Very helpful on types of oranges and offering samples of each. You can actually smell oranges when you get out of your car. Very clean inside the building and outside. Tons of cute gifts for every age. The chance to see baby gators was the only thing positive about this place. It was very dirty; an absolute dump. The fruit was bad, and the employees were worse. They were very rude and do a terrible job of keeping the place clean. When a man came in an asked the ladies at the counter if they had orange juice samples, she said, "Nah, we're out." and proceeded to do whatever she was doing without apologizing or anything. After staring at her in disbelief, he walked out shaking his head. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, and were out of soap and toilet paper.
