Terrible office management. Terrible customer service. My mother had office try to take impressions and it hurt badly. Lab then advised impressions needed to be redone. My mother asked for refund of over $1900 because she could not deal with the unprofessional people that tried to make the impressions. . This has been going on for 5 months and still no refund. Office manager Christy has had no updates and works on refund only when reminded. Aria in front office is rude and argumentative. Still waiting on elderly mother's refund. Fdc, 17 YRS and now this i ask the tech numerouse times if they had the color on file??? well i got the wrong shade and its very sensitive to hot it was fine before i got the crown pain going on 2 month, have not been able to eat nor drink not a call from Dr Norton A new crown with the wrong shade and the nerve has been traumatized by Dr Norton,, in 17 yrs i have never had pain nor sensitivity in none of my teeth.DR NORTON cemented the crown with out cleaning or drying the area did notmmeven asking if wanted to build a new one with the right shade? There was cement fused between two crowns Dr Norton with out saying anything she took dental floss and put it between the crowns and forcefully pulled upward 5 times so hard that the dental floss snapped twice pulled numerouse times in a row so hard that my whole body lifted from the chair the pain i went thru my gums were throbbing plus she cut my lip with the dental floss, i told Dr NORTON the cement had harden to pls use an instrument i had never seen a dentist do what she did to me, also her assistant came and did the same thing twice and it also snapped the pain was so severe i couldnt even speak cement was left under the crown in the gum line which cause sensitivity to hot,so i had to go back and get treated to remove the cement.. i havent been able to eat for the past 6 months. I went back and saw Dr. Hutch he's very good he did everything that a dentist supose to do, the tech cleaned the cement but i still was sensitivity to hot. (Pulling between teeth. Pulling floss hard can damage gums, teeth, or the dental work (like a crown).While dental floss can be used to clean between teeth, it's generally not recommended for removing cement between a crown and a tooth.) i was sent straight to the ROOT DR. with a referal. i was giving a refund $699 which $400 went for imigen at the root dr Dr Norton traumatized my tooth got infected in 17 yrs i have never had any complications nor sentivity. I PAID $400 FOR IMAGENING FOR THE TRAUMA THAT DR NORTON CAUSED TAKING ANTIBIOTIC AND STERIODS STILL IN PAIN I HAVE BEEN CALLING NO ANSWER, I DID NOT CAUSE THIS TO MYSELF. UPDATE: 2 MONTHS STILL SENITIVE TO HOT ITS JUNE 2O25 TWO MONTHS WITH PAIN I WENT TO SEE THE ROOT DR I AM ON ANTIBIOTICS AND STERIODS WAITING TO SEE IF THE TOOTH HEALS FROM THE TRAUMA I HAVE ANOTHER IMAGE ON THE JUNE 11 FOR A SECOND OPINION..DONE! I do not understand the bad reviews. I had my first appointment with Dr. Miller last week. The office is clean and the staff from the front desk to the hygienists were all SO friendly. Dr. Miller is so nice and really listened to my concerns. She let me know what I needed and gave me a printout of what it would cost me after insurance. She didn't pressure me. I have some dental trauma from a bad root canal experience, I'm so glad I found this office and Dr. Miller! read more

This is about as bargain basement a dental office as I could ever expect to find. I've been using this office since first arriving to the sun-kissed shores of God's Waiting Room in 2015. The main reason I started with these people is that it was/they were right down the street from where I lived at the time. Don't get me wrong: they've taken care of all my dental needs competently. Therefore, I have no real reason to complain. I just don't have any real reason to give them hosanna and praise, either. You'll see that the first moment you walk into their sparse, threadbare office. They have five more offices scattered around the Bay Area beside this particular one. Once taken back by whichever staff member, one enters a small maze of cubicles, of which there are around a dozen or so. This pretty much indicates that this place is more of a clinic or factory than just your run of the mill dentist. If that doesn't bother you, then I imagine you're halfway home. I was accustomed to small dental offices back up yonder. There are four dentists listed in this particular office, of whom I have only dealt with two. Each of them is competent, pleasant and fairly efficient with their time albeit not quick by any means. The staff of folks in there, which also numbers around a dozen, is a United Nations of ethnicities. Being a born and bred NYC type, I find it kind of refreshing, actually. I usually try to go last thing in the afternoon or very early in the morning so I'm not in there counting the hours, so to speak. They tend to run behind schedule as do most medical and dental facilities. They take most insurances (why wouldn't they?) and offer "discounted" rates should one not have insurance. My job has fantastic insurance so I can't complain there either; I'm blest in that respect, quite honestly. The rest of the staff is fairly pleasant and friendly. Some are definitely more so than others, however. One of the ladies up front could be a little more approachable, helpful, etc. and not so gruff. As I said earlier, I'm a born and bred NYC type, so I'm used to gruff behavior and more or less filter it out. Most have been there for years with the occasional new X-ray tech or hygienist. Same group of four dentists still running the show, of whom two are specialists. They do trade personnel among the six offices, I've noticed. If you like dealing with the same person each and every visit, you're not always in luck. By and large they're OK, as I relayed at the beginning. They're competent, efficient and definitely no frills. I have no reason to bash them whatsoever. At the same time, there are those who prefer the intimacy and personal touch of a small dental office. If you or your family members happen to be such folks, then keep looking because this place, much like George Washington's false teeth, ain't a good fit. read more

I have no dental insurance so I chose this place when we moved to Florida. The price has doubled since 2017 for a X-ray, cleaning and exam. But check in is easy. People are friendly. And it usually is an in and out in under an hour. Large parking lot. Not over crowded. Will give you a good faith estimate on future dental needs. read more

This office is the worst. I would not recommend them! I went for yearly exam. I had a tooth that had some decay in the back and the dentist told me that it would need to have a crown and since it was one of my front teeth the other one would need one too (so they would look the same). The cost would be 900.00. I did not do it. So 8 months later the decay is worse and I do not have dental insurance. I called to see if there was something else that could be done until my insurance started. I didnt even get an opinion from a dentist, the lady that answered the phone said, that I was told how much it would be and there was nothing else that could be done. SO I went for a second opinion. I was able to get the back of the tooth filed down and filled in. It wasnt even the whole tooth that was decaying. The cost was 215.00. This was my second bad expiernce with Florida Dental Centers and I will not use them again. They are definetly not a compassionate office. read more

I have been here a couple times, mostly because they are affordable. I got a tooth pulled last year, and had another molar extracted last week. If you are someone that gets scared going to the dentist, and needs comfort.. not the place for you. I had major concerns about getting the his molar pulled. They spent very little time or interest in explaining what would be best to take care of it. Then when I went to the appointment, the surgeon, Dr. Sakka, told as this big threatening looking surgeon who did nothing to comfort me when I was clearly very emotional about the molar getting pulled. He actually stopped in the procedure and told me to "stop crying". After it was over, I was alarmed because of how the anesthesia made my mouth look distorted. I looked at him and asked if this was normal. He said "how should I know what you look like"? . It was a HORRIBLE experience. You are a number in line there, not treated like a person. So if you want affordable with no care or concern from staff about your feelings, or we'll being, then definitely come here. read more

I had an appointment with these clowns last week and I had to reschedule because I was called into work. Some very strange and short tempered man answer the phone when I called to reschedule. He said that he couldn't find me in the system. That is not true because I have a screenshot of the appointment and a screenshot of the days that they called me and I called them back. He hung up on me in midsentence when I was trying to explain to him that I am in the system and then I tried to call back several times and he would purposely put me on hold with a snarky voice. The final time I try to get him to listen to me and he yelled at me and hung up again do not go to a place that treats somebody like this. I have an abscess tooth I'm a hard-working massage therapist and my job is to help people in pain. That's supposed to be their job and they failed terribly. I'm in pain and I have to work every day I just needed antibiotics and an exam and a future appointment for a root canal. These clowns need to go out of business. And apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way if you read the reviews. To the Jack a$$ that answered my call. You need a different line of work so the public does not have to deal with you. February 8, 2018: Donyale first took the time to speak with me about my dental habits and goals. Then during the exam Dr. Spinuso was great at pausing often to answer my questions. Lastly, Frank gave very helpful, detailed explanations of options for procedures, materials, and their rates. I didn't feel Dr. Spinuso, unlike other dentists, sought to overtreat for profit or undertreat in hopes of future profit. I've been with Florida Dental in Clearwater since 1998. Very disappointed today Aug 24, 2016. Really rethinking my future with Florida Dental Center. Took off work to see specialist. Front desk acknowledged me then, then Signed-in at front desk with date, time, and Dr name. After waiting 35 minutes in waiting room for Dr. Ghiai only to find out he left for the day. Front desk really dropped the ball. Words can not explain my thoughts and disbelief of how they didn't know we were waiting. read more

Florida Dental Center has always been my go-to for dentistry. Their office is welcoming and friendly and they are always willing to work with your schedule as much as possible. They send reminders before your appointment, which is helpful - especially if you booked it 6 months before and forgot to put it in your calendar. I went there and was immediately turned off by the girls in the office. I found them to be rude and not very professional. I went to the dentist because I had a broken top denture. The docter came in and was quite short with me and rude he said that these could not be fixed and I would have to go to a prosthetic dentist get new ones which would have cost a fortune. Well Thank goodness I did go to another dentist because fixing the dentures was no problem at all. Not only did they fix them like new they had them back the next day and I am very happy with them. If I had listened to the Florida Dental Center dentist it would have cost me three times as much and I would not have gotten these fixed. Regarding Florida Dental Center on Drew Street in Clearwater, FL. I've been going to this dental center for 12+ years. I have the same insurance (I work for the same company) that I've had for 12+ years. I had an appointment today at 1:30. I arrived at 1:10. Please note that this office was empty the whole time I was there. There were only 2 other patients in the waiting room the whole time I was there. They were not busy. After 10 minutes, the receptionist informs me that she called my insurance, yesterday, but could not verify my insurance. She said my insurance must have changed (I hadn't been there in a couple years, so she made this assumption). I told her that it didn't change, and asked why she didn't tell me yesterday so I could clear it up before my appointment. She rudely said that she doesn't do that; it was my responsibility. I told her nothing has changed. So, I make a couple phone calls to verify my benefits and get the member id and group # that the receptionist said she needs. The dental insurance representative that I had on the phone, said she would talk to the receptionist right now to give her approval. The receptionist refused to talk to her. She was on the phone punching in numbers trying to get the approval that way (I gave her the member id and group number). Anyway, I ended the phone conversation with insurance provider and waited. 15 minutes later, the receptionist was still punching numbers in the phone trying to verify my insurance. This could have done quickly if she would have talked to the insurance rep that I had on the phone. She would have faxed the verification, right then. Anyway, after getting no where for 45 minutes (it was now 1:55), I said 'this is ridiculous" and left. Me, nor my family will ever go there again. The receptionists were very rude. There were 2 of them. The 2nd one refused to even help at all and just kept telling me that my insurance DID change because they used to just use the "Sosh" (meaning social security number). Anyway, I found them to be rude and incompetent. The other kept telling me that it was my responsibility, even though I did not know there was an issue....because she did not notify me. There was no reason I would think there would be a problem because it has been the same insurance with the same dental center for 12+ years. read more
