I agree with others about monitoring your insurance charges. I was overcharged but received a refund after contacting my insurance and credit card company. The office also applies a service fee for credit card payments, around 3 to 5 percent, so it's best to confirm with the front desk. While this office is adequate for cleanings and fillings, I wouldn't rely on them for extractions or major procedures. The facility itself is very basic and open without walls, so you can hear other dentists and patients, which is something to keep in mind if you've never visited before. read more

Beware of Florida Dental Centers and their charges. Check your EOB's to make sure they have not charged you more that the insurance agreed upon price. In December 2025 Florida Dental Centers charged me more than the insurance negotiated price and now have fail to reimburse me the monies they overcharged--more than $200.00. Mandy at Florida Dental Center assured me it would be put on my credit card. Hasn't happened. Use at your own risk. My experience with their dental work is just as bad. read more

I had a dental hygiene appointment scheduled months in advance, only to be left sitting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes past my appointment time with repeated excuse that the hygienist is with a patient. This isn't a one-off either -- this office is consistently behind schedule. I value my time, and after waiting half an hour with no end in sight, I canceled and left. If you're running that far behind, patients should be informed ahead of time. Our time is a valuable as theirs. The staff is nice, but repeated scheduling issues like this show a lack of respect for patients' time. I won't be returning. read more

Just like everybody I dread going to the dentist. I highly recommend Florida dental centers if you have no dental plan. Or even if you do! The prices are reasonable and the staff is conscientious and friendly. My gums are in terrible shape. I paid for the deep cleaning (approximately $600+). They DO NOT cut your gums here, which I've heard from other people cause a lot of problems. Just had my evaluation after the deep cleaning to see how well it took and there's a definite improvement in my gums. This is much preferable to surgery! Dr. Ghaia, The gum specialist, also gave me tips on how to use my water pic more effectively, And also recommends teeth cleaning three times a year instead of twice a year which has been my practice in the past. Overall I'm very pleased at the prices and the competence of the Florida Dental Center. read more

I was scared to get a cleaning done, but my technician Phillip was great. It really didn't hurt at all and I have to thank him because my teeth do feel better after a deeper cleaning. The dentist Dr. Tallman checked me over, and I do have gum disease so its good I went to see them. I'll be flossing, brushing and swishing salt water gargles for a while, but my gums will recover and get better. My teeth aren't cracked like I thought they were, tho, there is some wear and tear that is to be expected on a tooth grinder like me...Over all a very good visit and I won't be afraid to return. read more

I've visited this office twice for a cleaning. The first time was last Thursday. I waited 47 minutes in the lobby past my appointment (which was 8:30am). Around 9:17 I was seated and told that it would be another twenty to thirty minutes - so I left and rescheduled for today. My appt was at 2pm, they sat me at 2:09, and then I waited in the chair while I was ignored by the team. I got up at 2:41pm and asked the office manager to close out my file. She went back and said that the hygienist was ready at that time, but it was already 2:45pm and I now wasted 3 hours of PTO to visit this office and not get service. Do not come here for a cleaning. read more

I just had my teeth cleaned after a major hiatus from the dentist. Don't like to go and I get nervous. The staff was very sympathetic and my hygienist, Sasi, was very gentle. I dropped off my Mom's dentures to be fixed shortly after they opened and Leyla said they would be done by 4pm. Leyla was not rude nor was she friendly. I was happy to be told they would be finished and fixed the same day. My Mom was in the hospital for 7 days without teeth and the whole week had been so stressful. She was getting out that afternoon so we were so excited she would also be getting her fixed teeth. Went back to the office. Paid for the fixed teeth. Got the container the teeth were in and when we opened the container at the hospital, only the lower denture was in the container. Not the upper denture that was supposed to be fixed. Very disappointed. So we had to wait until the following morning. Called Leyla who then tried to tell me that the lowers were fixed and that's all that was brought. When I insisted that was incorrect then she decided to check and realized that she forgot to put the uppers that were fixed in the case. I received an insincere apology for the inconvenience. I've been going to the Pinellas Park location for several years for routine dental care/cleanings and have always received the best care. If you need a cleaning, ask for Sasi as she has the most gentle touch and gives thorough cleanings every time. Today they fit me in for a same day appointment after I cracked a tooth - something you won't even have a chance of getting from other dentists - and Dr Lowry was wonderful. She greeted me with compassion, eased my concerns by thoroughly outlining my repair options, gave me a written estimate of the costs, and answered all my questions. They did a great job with pain control and had me in and out in roughly 2 hours time. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing routine or not-so-routine dental care! read more

My first visit was in may. I kept getting the run around about one tooth giving me problems. They expect me to remove my wisdom teeth when all I need is the infected Tooth removed. Finally I was all set up. I got an estimate and made and appointment to remove my molar. I sat and waited for my apportionment and when I was taken back the amount out of pocket was 100$ more than what I was told. I was being charged for a surgical extraction when all I needed removed was my second molar! No wisdom teeth at all! I never got any detailed communication from the dentist. He just looked at x-rays and walked out of the room. His communication skills are terrible. They didn't seem to care for a relationship with the patient, nothing. I'll be changing my dentist for a more honest one! read more

I was seen on August 14th for an emergency visit due to tooth pain. I advised the receptionist I had insurance. I saw the dentist and he stated I need to see the oral surgeon due to the location of the tooth. Upon checking out and scheduling my appointment I asked if I need to pay anything. I was told by the person that scheduled my appointment that my insurance would cover it and did not owe anything. I arrived today to see Robert Snyders, DMD for extraction of tooth #2. I signed the disclosure having to do with a possible side effect of the sinus opening upon extraction and was advised today's surgery was $265. I assumed this was covered by insurance due to the ending of my last appointment. After my extraction I was advised that my insurance will not cover my first visit or the extraction. I asked why I was not called about the $57 balance and the lady stated she did not know. I am now out of $322! I should have been told after the first visit that my insurance would not cover the payment, so I would not have to suffer this financials loss. I am furious with how this was handled and feel like I was scammed into paying way more than I could afford. read more
