They are short handed and apparently only speak with new patients (to schedule) on Fridays. I had to leave my name and they would call me on Fridays. Unfortunately, that did not happen so I called back the next week and was told the same thing - - I decided to give it one more try and finally on Friday I did receive a call. I finally got an appointment but on the day, Dr. Lam was unable to be in the office so my appointment was canceled. I called back and got another appointment and I'm glad I persevered. Once I was there, I met the most gracious office personnel. The technologists were extremely kind and thorough. Nobody rushed me through anything. Everyone cared about how I was feeling at the time. I have a number of tests that I must do annually so my appointments usually take a long time - - this was a pleasure. When Dr Lam came in, he explained everything to me and answered absolutely all of my questions. One week later I had to go back for a procedure that sounded a bit scary. Again, Dr Lam answered all of my questions - - the procedure was NO BIG DEAL -- I say that in caps because I do NOT like people touching my eyes! I almost gave this 4 stars because of the trouble I had getting an appointment but it was so worth the wait that I bumped it to five! (I would suggest they hire another person or two for the front desk so as not to turn away patients)

This establishment exemplifies exceptional management and is distinguished by its high level of customer service. Throughout my visits, I consistently interacted with courteous and efficient staff members, demonstrating the office's commitment to excellence. The comprehensive testing procedures were thoroughly explained in clear and concise language. Dr. Mitchell demonstrated exceptional communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner, ensuring I remained well-informed throughout the process. I departed feeling valued as a patient and confident in the exceptional care provided. I appreciate the high level of service I received during my visit. Upon my most recent visit, it was determined that my cataracts had progressed to the point where surgery was necessary. I opted to undergo cataract removal and LASIK procedures. Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Lam collaborated on the surgery, and their staff and nurses were outstanding in their preparation and care. Following the procedure, my cataracts were successfully removed, and my visual acuity is now 20/20 or better in each eye, eliminating my need for glasses. I can honestly recommend these two fine doctors and their facilities for any of your eye ailments.

I scheduled a 12:30pm appointment so that I could be done and back to work by 2 PM. I arrived at 12:15 PM and I waited 30 minutes before asking how long how much longer the wait would be. When I asked, she told me I would be up next. After that, they called two or three other patients before me. After awaiting almost an hour I asked again how long the wait time would be. She again said I would be called next. I continue to wait. I waited over an hour and was never seen by the doctor. I was told there would be no way for me to be finished with my appointment by 2 PM. I had to cancel the appointment after waiting there for over an hour. It was a total waste of time. The doctors don't care how long the patients wait. I guess they think their time is more valuable than everyone else in this world. Aside from the awful experience with waiting, I have not been impressed with their ability to diagnose and/or treat the eye condition that I have. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

Dr Gupta said it could only be seen with a magnifying glass, but you don't need to use a magnifying glass to see the hole such was half an inch wide. Instead of listening to me, she kept getting mad and saying she had no control over the healing. It doesn't appear Dr Gupta was seeing the half inch hole I was talking about and instead she was just getting frustrated.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality experience. Crystal and Maya were stupendous. I have always bruised when getting blood drawn and for the first time ever, I did not bruise. I will be leaving Cleveland Clinic and coming here for my medical services. Amazing staff!!!!

However, they have been under new management for a couple of months. All the previous providers have left the practice. I was never notified that my provider left the practice. In fact, photographs of my former provider and others are still on the webpage, so how was I to know they left? I never received a phone call or a letter in the mail. I found out about this recently when my insurance request requested a prior authorization. I went to their new website, and my provider wasn't listed. So I called to ask about this. The first time I called and the phone rang forever with no one picking up the phone. When I was finally able to get through, a young lady answered the phone. I told her about my situation with the prior authorization and she told me that my provider was no longer there. I was told that I had to come in and see a new provider and when I asked why , I was told have a nice day and then hung up on. I wasn't rude; I just had questions, like who my new provider is and why they need me to come in, since I just had an exam two months earlier. And I don't know why, but they called me back 10 minutes later and said they suddenly had an appointment for me the next morning. So I came in to see what was going on. My new provider was very young and I'm not sure how much experience they had. While they were nice, she informed me of the new policies. For example, they began charging for blood draws in the office that had previously been free. It was $35, and now it's down to $15; otherwise, I have to go to another location to have my blood drawn. They put an order for me to have my blood work drawn, even though I just had it drawn 6 to 8 weeks. I asked for a prior authorization which I was told they would do, but after two weeks, I went to my pharmacy and they said they never received one. The front desk used to be helpful, but recently when I went in, everybody was sitting around in a circle talking to each other, pretty much ignoring that I was there. This used to be a very warm, friendly practice that put the patient's needs first. Now, it seems this new management is very business-oriented, looking for ways to make more money at the expense of providing good customer service and focusing on my healthcare needs. I am now leaving this practice, which makes me sad. I feel very sorry for older people who go there. They probably don't know who their provider is anymore and will have to start over with a new provider from the beginning. It's hard to find a good medical practice for your routine healthcare these days, especially in Boca Raton, where everybody is moving towards concierge service. I wouldn't be surprised if this place goes out of business in the next year.
