What an amazing experience! Every single staff member I came in contact with at the vision center was incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing like having calcium scrapped from your cornea....! thank goodness it's not me! That's my pain in the ass lil friend of mine..... Dr. C and his staff is wonderful. Everyone her is so friendly and attentive. When you come here you know you'll always have the best treatment and always in good hands. Dr. C has top of the line optical computers, lasers, equipment etc. Painless, quick and comfortable. Office is big and and sometimes you do wait a little longer then expected but it's worth the wait. These are your one only set of only eyeballs and of course you only want the best to work on them. Dr. C is the man has been around for many years... Cost wise compared to everyone in in town is surprisingly affordable. Everyone else quotes friend $8,000 and eventually found Dr. C. His treatment was a $1,000 each eye. Pleas don't go off by the price my friend was given as everyone is different and his case is much sever and has many other underlying issues. This Father/son combo is interested in one thing! Money! Forget any Hippocratic oath. I have premier PPO insurance through blue cross. I have a degenerative cornea disease called kerakatonus. The insurance company approved the surgery and Cohen billing department told me that they won't do the surgery which they advertise on their site and I was referred to by my optometrist....because "we don't make any money on these procedures. The claim was marked as medically necessary and they refused to treat me. This was not a cosmetic procedure. Bring your checkbook.they tried to bill me 2k per eye. Again...this is a cornea implant surgery not lasik. Very sad read more

Dr Cohen did my Lasik over 15 years ago. I was 20/400 and had astigmatism. Dr Cohen corrected me to 20/15. I maintained my perfect vision from that time until I reached my late 40s and began to lose my near vision (as we ALL do and about which Dr Cohen had managed my expectations). I have never had a moment's regret choosing Dr Cohen for my Lasik. The surgery was simple and virtually painless (post-op is uncomfortable for a couple hours). I had prior LASIK surgery done by another doctor and as it wore off Dr Cohen redid my LASIK with great results. At that time the staff was fantastic although I have always waited up to an hour or more in the waiting room and one time they even forgot I was there and I had to leave to get back to work. I understand the receptionist was new and learning, however, if I had not shown up for a scheduled appointment, they would have charged me. So now I consulted with Dr Cohen for lens implant surgery as LASIK would no longer correct my vision. After extensive testing and measuring by a "tech", I paid in full for the measurement exam, surgery center and upgraded lens which was approx. $5k. I then received an extensive phone call from Dr Cohen explaining that he spoke to the manufacturer of the lens (he recommended) and they did not feel it would adequately correct my eyesight. Dr Cohen then suggested I go with another lower end lens which would require me to still wear glasses. Dr Cohen and I both decided I would wait until they developed a updated lens for my eyes. Although I appreciate Dr. Cohen calling me personally to go over the findings, they refunded all of my money except for the $350 for the measurement appointment. Now they are also trying to collect $130 for the office visit! I must say, after several phone calls with their billing department, I am highly disappointed. They are either always busy, do not return a phone call or just rude. Dr. Cohen is a highly skilled surgeon however to take advantage and charge me $450 for a procedure that I was unable to have, I feel is very unfair. Maybe, I should charge them the $130 back for the 2 hours I sat in the office waiting to be seen and the receptionist forgot I was even there. I would beware before paying for lens implants, to confirm this option is the correct option for you as getting a refund is very tedious and you will pay either way, which is not explained up front. read more

I had lasik surgery and the procedure worked out perfectly, my vision improved 90% and the procedure and recovery were quite simple. However every time I have an appointment I have to wait at least 20-25 minutes. The one time I come in 10 minutes late and call beforehand to let them know, they made me wait 2 and half hours. I did extensive research before selecting Dr. Cohen as my doctor for LASIK. He's truly the best in the country, and has the most advanced equipment in the world. Even the best most up to date surgeries I saw on Youtube were not as good as his method. Almost like alien technology. I went in and felt no pain the whole time. I didn't sleep when I got home, I just put on music and rested my eyes. Still 0 discomfort. It's been 2 and 1/2 hours and I'm a tiny bit blurry, but I can still use a computer and it's getting better every hour. I am confident I will have perfect or better then perfect vision by later tonight by how it's progressing, and I could def work tomorrow (But I'm still not, gonna celebrate!). As you can see from almost every review his staff is wonderful. And he is extremely nice too with a great sense of humor. He gave me his personal cell phone number if I have a problem. If you're thinking about eye surgery, this is the best guy around. It's was the cheapest quote I got as well for all laser LASIK. Comparable to what others were charging for blade LASIK.
