Timothy is a GIA certified appraiser so I knew his knowledge and appraisal insights would be up to the GIA's rigorous standards. Timothy spent a good deal of time looking at the ring through his microscope, studying it's characteristics and taking notes and photographs of the details of the ring. He researched similar pieces online and concluded that I received a very good deal from the jeweler I purchased the ring from. Timothy's appraisal gave me the peice of mind that the ring was within a few hundred dollars of what the jeweler claimed the replacement value would be. The time Timothy spent with me, viewing the ring and researching it was well worth the appraisal fee which I thought was fair to begin with. Timothy gave me the piece of mind to know that I received a good deal which was very important to me to find out.

Because this process could not have been more convenient…read more --- --- --- Life hack for any home owner: If you financed your home with less than 20% down, you probably have PMI in your loan. PMI is basically just interest that is thrown in dumpster each month. It doesn't go toward paying off your loan at all and is only a way for the lender to pick up some extra capital from you for providing such a large loan. It doesn't go away until you've paid off 20% of your loan. EXCEPT, the housing market is super hot right now, with values going through the roof. If you have your home appraised, and according to the appraisal value, you owe less than 80% of the value of the home, you can rid yourself of that pesky PMI. I always look at homes on the market in the area so I was pretty confident that ours would be valued high enough to make this a reality. I called my mortage company and asked them to connect me with an appraiser that I could use. I received an email that Gerri Hilton would be my appraiser and that I should contact her. Before I even had a chance to call her, she called me. We played phone tag a couple of times, but eventually, we were able to connect. It was a Friday afternoon and she asked me if Monday between 10-10:30a worked. I said that it did and she said that she'd see me then. I was a little nervous because it sounded like she was driving and I thought she might forget because the call sounded so informal. But like clockwork, she was at my door just before 10:30 that Monday morning. She took some photos of the outside and then did the same on the inside. I had a couple of questions about the process, which she was helpful in answering and mentioned that I should have the appraisal sent to me within 5-7 days. It didn't take nearly that long, as that Thursday it was sitting in my inbox. And not that she did this out of the kindness of her heart, but the appraisal value of our home was well over the amount that we needed it to be. Goodbye nasty interest payment every month! Our experience working with Gerri was great - I'd recommend her for anyone looking for an appraiser!

1/5 I had a very…read moredisappointing experience with this appraisal company. My property had previously been appraised at $247,000 before I purchased it. Since then, additional improvements were made to the property. However, this appraisal came back at only $225,000. A Reconsideration of Value was submitted with additional comparable properties and supporting information. After the reconsideration, the appraised value was increased by only $5,000, from $225,000 to $230,000. I understand that appraisals are professional opinions and that a prior appraisal does not guarantee the same or a higher value. However, based on the property's history, improvements, and the information provided during the reconsideration process, I was extremely dissatisfied with both the valuation and how the reconsideration was resolved. Unfortunately, the resulting valuation made my cash-out refinance financially unworkable. After spending nearly two weeks on the loan process and incurring significant appraisal and loan-related costs, I ultimately had to cancel the loan. This experience cost me both time and money, and I was very disappointed with the appraisal service I received. Based on my experience, I would not use or recommend this appraisal company. Please DON'T waste money on them
