My family and I were blessed to walk into Ackermans 24+ years ago and meet their newest staff member Linda. Since then we have been lucky enough to have them as our neighborhood jewelers and the only place we would trust with special pieces and special moments in our lives. I recently got engaged and my fiancé proposed with a travel ring bc he wanted to make sure I helped in the diamond selection process. After taking me someplace else that friends had suggested, we realized that experience was too special to entrust to just anyone. We went straight to Ackermans and after Linda made sure she knew what setting, style, size etc. I was looking for, my fiancé went back the next day and spent over a hour with the owner Ron making sure the got the perfect diamond for me. The customer service, the kindness and the attention to detail (and quality) is unmatched here. We have already popped back in to have the ring steamed and say hello. I can't say enough good things. I wrote my review, heard back from the owner, and his efforts came across as sincere. On my return trips to CWD, I did not see the initial salesperson once, so I'm not sure if she is still working there. Of course, I never wish for someone to lose their job, but I also don't think it's right to push a client into making high-dollar purchases, when that client obviously knows nothing about jewelry. Yes, that someone is me and about 99% of people like me. That being said, all of my follow-up visits were a 180 degree opposite experience. No salesyness. No uncomfortable moments. Until I met with Will and Andrew, I was scared to be in a store like this but I must say that they really took the mystique out of diamonds and made us feel right at home and at ease. No question was ever too stupid or unworthy of them taking their time to explain. The other thing that I really appreciated was the fact that we didn't feel like we were being sold with high pressure sales tactics unlike every other jewelry and diamond place we had been to. I like their boutique store which is very quaint and relaxing even though they are located in the ground floor of an office building on Westshore Blvd across from Ruth Chris steak house, it is easy to get to and worth the trip. I have also seen them and their staff of workers interface with customers as they call or walk in and was duly impressed with the care and attention given to each and every person. We really like the fact that Continental Wholesale Diamonds creates and designs diamonds and sells direct obviating the middleman which of course becomes more expensive. Their experience level is second to none since Andrew's family goes 100 years back in the diamond business through a few generations. There was a neat interview that we noticed on ABC Action where they interviewed Andrew in a very informative interview about diamonds and specifically Continental's niche and approach to dealing with this marketplace.
