    I wanted to give Brad and his team a shout out. From the moment I requested more information on the vehicle of my dreams to the point I picked up the keys and drove off, the treatment, patience, communication, and true honesty was unwavering. Having never bought a vehicle solely online, Brad made me feel like my interests was his top priority. He provided me with an extensive report with detail photographs of everything good AND bad with the vehicle. A certified appraisal and when my bank required a 2nd appraisal from a 3rd party, provided that within a day. All paperwork was done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Honestly, I could not have had a better experience while purchasing my '72 Chevelle and would recommend doing business with him to anyone and everyone. Thank you Team Survivor Classic and hope anyone that reads this post doesnt think twice on conducting business with you. Now to enjoy my new sweet ride.

It was really hard to find a place that I didn't know even where to look to address this car. So I found Swanson and man named John ran it, always had solid service, good quality without hurting my wallet. Now here comes the story so bear with me. John was class and did great work and if you took your vehicle to Swanson before 2022 you most certainly had great service too. Unfortunately he had to tend to family back in England, I believe it was his dad that was sick and sold the place to guy named Steve AKA piece of shit. That MFer, took over and ran it into the ground in less than 3 or so years, while having my car for 8 months as he totally screwed people and thank god not he's the owner anymore. A new owner bought the place and replaced Steve who was stealing tools and buying stuff on store credit which he didn't own anymore and was immediately fired and replaced by Chris. He is the new management and we had some interesting conversations in the time we have known each other. Never had arguments and honestly if he didn't inherited a shitstorm there would have been only positive talk and has done everything he can to a degree to help me all because of the 2nd owner Steve messed up big time. I've brought 3 vehicles up there including the one I'm talking about now and besides the fluid change of diff, trans, and oil he's not charging me for removing and correctly reinstalling front end by securing the underside from the front splitter, which has seems to have been a problem even though I got the car like that and had no issues till Steve. So Chris will secure the plastic under trays as I bought the hardware and he's changing both TPS sensors as well as doing an other alignment which I did pay for and one sensor but will redo it and pay for the second sensor and do it free of charge like he originally told me months back concerning this car and guarantee his work. He originally said he would help reinstall my car and not charge me labor if I supplied the materials which I honestly wasn't extremely happy about as I was upset with Steve the previous owner as he charged me and left my car worse than when I dropped it off so it took time with Chris and I. I wasn't mad at him I was just mad and pissed off and he was the only one I could present this to. Btw this car has a long story but that's another story.... So I brought one vehicle and another and slowly started moving in a positive direction. I can attest that he is honest and does guarantee his work as we unfortunately had a mishap on top end repair and it wasn't even his fault but since the vehicle was in his possession he replaced the whole motor and redid everything for no cost. Now don't look to get a free ride or try and take advantage because first that's wrong and second if he refuses something then he has a very, very good reason. I have brought him domestic and non domestic vehicles and they have done superb work plus he's really easy going and not gimmicky. He's got a good tech in the back which unfortunately I always forget his name for some stupid reason but he's really thorough. So he has held his word as I'm patiently waiting on my car now and it will be done even sooner than I thought, will give updates on how the car looks and drives. Oh and Swanson has a phenomenal deals on batteries so don't go to discount or auto zone. Chris saved me over $100 when I mentioned in conversation that I needed a battery for my truck at the house. So Swanson is whole again!!! Look for conclusion to my car very soon.

    So glad I found this place. Drove down from Northern N.Y. ( Adirondacks ) this past Feb/Mar to…read morevisit family and I Always make sure to get my car serviced before I leave because of the price gouging and dishonest repair suggestions that these dealerships in the area do to out of state and local elderly customers. Can't stand people or businesses that do this. Upon arriving from my 1,500 mile trip I noticed that I was having a lot of noise coming from the undercarriage of my vehicle. The kind of noise you can't ignore and need to get checked out. Reluctantly, I had to call the place I didn't want to call because of multiple past negative experiences. My vehicle is still somewhat under warranty ( that's the only reason I went back ) so I hoped that this time would be different and maybe there's a chance the problem might fall under warranty repair ( I rather focus on writing a well earned review for Curry Auto Repair than naming the place , I drive a Subaru ). Sure enough, $237.00 for silicone spray and a non answer to what the noise was. Still had my vehicle sounding like the undercarriage was gonna fall apart as I was driving away. Couple of weeks went by and the sound kept getting worse and now I was a week out from having to drive 1,500 back home to the Adirondacks ( still winter and snowing up here ). Started to scramble trying to find someone to take a look at my vehicle, not only to still try and diagnose the problem but also make sure that it's safe to drive. Enter Curry Auto Repair. Got referred to Curry from a neighbor of my Mom's through what they saw on Yelp reviews. Walked in at the end of the day and first met David and then Steve. I explained the situation I was in and they told me to come back in the morning and one of the technicians ( Mark ) would take a test drive with me and that after, they'd put it up on the lift and take a look. When I was waiting to take the test drive, I was able to witness David and Steve's interactions with customers who were picking up and dropping off their cars. Couldn't believe how involved David and Steve were in making sure that all their customers were taken care of while also handling the phones. They were reminding customers about coupons that they have to save a little on certain services as well as explaining in detail everything they had done while their car was in for service, great to see that. You can tell this place cares about reputation and its customers. Just so professional and kind. Went on the test drive and Mark was able to assess that the noise was a stabilizer link and that the rest of my vehicle was safe and would make it back. You know what Curry charged me ? Nothing. Couldn't believe it. It was only about a half hour of their time to help me diagnose the problem but still. I was a nobody walking into a place I've never been in and David, Steve and Mark treated me like a life long customer. I've since referred my Mom to this place and are also spreading the word to her neighbors. ( Thank you for helping her with the tires on her car ) Thank you so much for that. I made it back to the ADK's safe and sound. My car is currently at my dealership in Plattsburgh NY getting repaired. The problem is exactly what Mark said it was. * To anyone reading this. If you're looking to move on from Dealership dishonesty and price gouging, Please go checkout Curry Auto Repair.
