We booked the 10am reef snorkel and everything was perfect from start to finish. The instructions for location and process to check in were clear in the email sent prior. The employees were very nice and welcoming, the gear was decent quality and very clean, and the captain and boat mates Brock and Brody were engaging and attentive. The boat ride was comfortable and Amen, the captain, navigated skillfully to alligator reef with a bonus second location away from the lighthouse. There is was deeper and so much fun to explore. We saw so many fish including barracuda, nurse sharks, parrotfish, etc plus some rays. The best snorkeling by far we've ever done! read more

We took the sunset cruise. Our guide took us out to the lighthouse and was very knowledgable about the area and history. The captain did veer away a bit as we spotted dolphins so they gave us plenty of time to enjoy that surprise. Sunset fabulous. Keep in mind it is much cooler out on the water so have a jacket handy if going in cooler months. read more

This snorkel adventure was so amazing that this is the only place I want to snorkel. Beautiful natural reefs thick with fish. Saw a shark and sea turtle. There was SO much to explore. Then there was the boat and crew. Friendly, funny, personable yet very professional and safety conscious. The boat was clean, smooth riding, and for an older diver, the ladder to get in and out was so easy. Last, I did get a little seasick and the crew could not have been nicer. Super adorable location! When searching their website I don't feel like they make it clear just how cute it is! I hadn't planned on spending time there after, but when we were done snorkeling we going around for an hour or so. The snorkeling trip was good. They can't control the weather or the waves it causes. They can't control the visibility from that, either. We made two stops and ended up starting our longer than expected. We saw a lot of fish and had a great time! They are very diligent in making sure they have EVERY GUEST after each stop. As a teacher I had to giggle...it's exactly how we do it! Genuinely nice staff, fair prices, nice boat. They go over all necessary safety info and give you lots of options to make sure you're constable in the water. I recommend! read more

Chose this experience after hearing about it on a YouTube video. Our first stop was to Alligator Reef. Water was soooo blue and there were so many fish! Saw a few nurse sharks too! My friend was a bit timid about the whole thing at first, but she settled in and had a great time too! Loved the crew, good vibes the whole time! Amazing time parasailing with the crew. There were 3 pairs of parasailers and we each got ample time in the air. It was such a nice view and totally relaxing. Required no athleticism whatsoever haha. That's well and good because my 7 year old had a blast. Definitely something everyone should do once in their life. It's so nice to see the water from high up. A Beautiful day of excellent adventure! We arrived at Robby's a bit early and watched the hungry Tarpan's. The weather was perfect. Everyone with Sundance was kind and welcoming. The music on the boat was great. We met up with our guide Erica who thoroughly instructed us on the ways of SNUBA. She was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe and comfortable. We stopped first at Alligator Reef and snorkeled. We saw two large nurse sharks. A plethora of fish and some fantastic coral. The water was perfect Erica told us the next reef was her favorite and it did not disappoint. We must have seen twenty types of fish and a large stingray. We saw two juvenile Goliath Groupers that must have been 70 lbs. they were awesome. Erica told us they were big enough to head out to the deep soon we're they can get up to 800 lbs. While we were down there a friendly diver http://Www.Facebook.com/mike.papish.3 got some photos and videos of us (not included in the tour--just totally an epic coincidence) I'm an experienced snorkeler and was completely relieved that breathing on the regulator was so easy to get used to. I had some trouble with my mask fogging. I should have got a new one before I came. I definitely recommend bringing a mask that you know fits well! Still it was beautiful, peaceful and comfortable under the waves. Can't say enough good about Erica and the crew. If you get the opportunity to do this grab it with both fins!!! We went on both a snorkeling excursion and a sunset cruise and both were just amazing! On the snorkeling excursion, the captain took us to two reefs, alligator and Cheeca and we absolutely loved it! I have snorkeled all over the world, and this is definitely worth doing. Alligator reef in particular was spectacular. The crew was absolutely wonderful! They were all very friendly informative and funny, especially our captain! Today was our third snorkeling excursion on the Blue. Another fantastic day and crew!! read more

We had a fun time heading out for the morning with the guys at Sundance. - BOAT EXPERIENCE - Giant, fun boat, music, great drinks, beautiful open ocean for miles, perfect temperature. Everyone got to see multiple dolphins swimming around, and several turtles, super fun! - SNUBA - We went to Snuba, they let us know multiple times in advance that the weather wasn't the best, and they laid out different options and drove the boat to a few different locations to find the best spot. I felt a little queasy when I came up (I probably just didn't de-pressurize properly), but the guys were super supportive and once the boat got moving again I felt fine. I think the weather + some rustiness on our end made the actual Snuba'ing a bit difficult here and there, but it was still pretty amazing to go down 10 - 15 feet and swim among the fish, cross over the ledge, etc. - TEAM / COMPANY - Although our rustiness + the weather hurt the experience a bit, I don't believe anyone else could have handled it any better: # Great communication, we got a call the day before to confirm + the day of with notes on the weather # Really great about presenting the options along the way, including giving us multiple options to switch to normal snorkeling with the difference refunded (given the weather) # Great drink prices, I was expecting them to be over-priced but the drinks were basically just at-cost, pleasantly surprised # Generally positive, helpful dudes - CONCLUSION - Overall despite some of the real-world issue we encountered, it was pretty incredible to experience, had a great time. And given the professionalism and skill of the team, we will probably go back (with more knowledge of SNUBA) if we return to Islamorada in the future. read more

We booked a sunset cruise about a month prior to our vacation in the area. Everything was on time and the boat was easy to find at the Robbie's area dock and restaurant. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as cooperative with us, and there were several lightning storms around our immediate area. Our guides did try to take us out for a bit and see if we could let the storms pass, but it was just too dangerous to be out in the water after about 30 minutes. While we didn't end up with the full boat ride, the staff was great and super easy going, the boat had good spacing for social distancing, and they did a full refund on the boat tour despite us not even asking. We also got our two drinks we had for 'free' as the tour wasn't a full event. Overall: A We would most definitely recommend them and give them another try some other time!! read more

Friendly hosts and great customer service. Texted us to ask to call and reschedule when winds were dangerous so we could safely reschedule to a better day and time. The boat was massive so plenty of space to allow for social distancing during COVID. We got to see tons of different kinds of fish, a coral reef, a sea turtle, and a mini shark. Had a great time on this charter, "Blue". We snorkeled two different spots, Chica Rocks and Donut Hole Reef. Water was a bit choppy, but overall conditions were a very good. Every snorkel trip is different. While I've had several great experiences with Sundance, our most recent trip was easily the best snorkeling experience I've had in recent memory. They took us to Alligator Reef, where we found ourselves surrounded by schools -- yes, multiple schools! -- of fish. We saw rainbow parrotfish, midnight parrotfish, bonnethead, nurse sharks, barracuda, eel... and so many other fish. The captain and crew (Friday, May 24, afternoon trip) were amazing, friendly, and more than competent. read more

This was the best snorkel trip i've ever been on! The guides are great guys, funny, entertaining, and safety focused! You can tell they put their hearts into what they do. Our snuba guide was awesome. Very helpful and affirmative, and made sure to check in with each of us directly at different times throughout the trip. Even complimented us after the dive!
