The couple who owns them is super nice and so helpful with our visit. The cottages are nice and you can tell some well-thought effort went into updating them. Everything there was quiet. The pool was nice and the tiki hut made for a nice place to chat with fellow relaxers. The beach is a short five minute walk. With a less-than ten minute walk, you're at John's Pass with shopping, restaurants and bars. We had planned on going to other places while visiting, but we barely left the radius around the cottages.

The hosts (june and Bill) are so friendly and helpful that we felt like family when we left. The other people staying there were also extremely nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. The beach was a short 3 min walk from the cottages and John's Pass was around 5-10 minutes away when walking.

They sent the instructions and code early, called to communicate any issues and the place was clean both times we rented a room. However our second room did have a few bugs- some dead and some alive... I didn't notice them but my husband did. The bedding and bathroom were very clean however. Parking at the rental we used was very tight but that's not their fault... the permits were printed and in our room and we had access to contact them 24/7. Overall would use them again though maybe not the same location as it was an older building.

All sounds and conversations carry through (dogs barking, squeaky toys, sounds of dog nails tapping, talking, laughing, kitchen sounds, dropping things). You WILL feel awkward. Advertised boardwalk in photos is CLOSED due to storm damage. Unit is TINY with little storage or room to sit things down. The toilet is UNSTABLE! Be careful sitting down on it. There's no fan or airflow in the bathroom. Wall AC Unit can be too loud to enjoy conversations or the TV. However, you can use it to cover sounds coming from your neighbors. The bed is full sized (motorized). It's comfortable but small. The living area needs a curtain/blind over the inner window. Private spaces are visible from entry. UNREASONABLE and UNTRUTHFUL MANAGEMENT: I contacted DONNA from Sandy Beach Rentals on the day we left. She informed me that she couldn't help me with a refund and that I should contact a manager on a business day. I did what was recommended and called Sandy Beach Vacation rentals. I talked to a receptionist and explained the situation. She put me on the line with the manager, and her name was.....DONNA! DONNA is a manager (maybe owner?) Donna lied about her role in the company and chose not to offer any recompense. I remained calm and tried to plea my case. No refund of any kind is being offered. During the conversation, she minimized each complaint and my situation. She offered no help and asked me if I expected her to pay it out of her pocket. She then hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE! For a few hundred bucks more, you can get a nice hotel on the beach with all the amenities.

The grounds could use a little help, but its a lot of space for two people to take care of. The dog-friendly nature of the resort is awesome. Its so quiet across the road from the beach and the proximity to the Johns Pass village makes it easy to get along with out much driving. The prices are a little steep, but not horrible, the place didn't seem too busy, so I understand they've got to make ends meet. I was thinking about possibly doing a consignment deal to try to sell my 2015 Winnebago Era 170 while I was there, so the guys went through my unit thoroughly and gave me an idea of what it was worth. No hassle and they let me think it all over for a couple of weeks. No pressure. I decided against a consignment sale and opted instead to continue to drive it for another year. I'm headed back in a month for my annual trek. I wouldn't consider storing my unit anywhere else. Great guys who make customers feel like family. Who knows, I just might do that consignment deal this year!!

I bought a 2004 Jayco Greyhawk class C RV from these guys. I did what I thought was a pretty…read morethorough inspection prior to buying it and it was bought "as is" with no expressed warranty. I was happy with the final price and they did a very thorough walk thru with me showing me how everything worked and fixed any of the things I found wrong which was mostly superficial broken things like trim molding, plastic parts, etc... after getting it home I started encountering more issues that my test drive didn't reveal but I don't really think it was intentional on their part. I did the needed repairs and got it ready for a trip to Montana. I bought it during the dry season and about a month after I purchased it, we started getting very heavy rains everyday. About 100 miles into my 6000 mile trip out west while filling up the gas tank I noticed a very small deformation on the front side of the nose cap. There was a stick on reflector where it was protruding and I pealed it back to reveal a quarter size hole in the fiberglass right at the seam. I put a piece of tape on it and kept driving. We made it to GA and the tape had pulled off and the side panel was swollen and pulling back from the corner seam. I bought some incredibly strong "as seen on TV" waterproof sealing tape and taped over the hole and the seam. We did not want to cancel the trip over this but it was extremely nerve wracking because I was afraid that side panel was going to start ripping off. We kept an eye on the tape and added more as needed but the air pressure was causing the swelling and delamination to get worse. By the time I got home it was swollen all the way back to the bunk window. I called a delam repair company and they told me it would probably cost 5-7 grand to fix it! I was completely devastated as I still owe 22 grand on this thing. After further research I figured out that the stick on reflectors were added to cover the hole as they were not on any other Greyhawk I saw for that year. I brought it back to RV World expecting them to tell me to kiss their ass and that it was sold as is. They were very calming and said that they would try and fix it for a lot cheaper than what I was quoted and only charge me what their costs were. They had my RV for a month and when they called me to tell me it was done I was expecting them to say it was thousands of dollars to fix. The water damage got into the overhead bunk and all behind the panel. They had to replace a lot more than we originally thought but they fixed it right. They replaced the bunk, had to pull the bunk window and replace the panel behind it. It was a major repair and they did a great job! I couldn't be happier and they didn't try and rip me off or even charge me what the repair was worth. They took great care of me even though they had zero obligation or anything to gain.
