I've been to this establishment twice. The first time I was there it was across the street at the the strip mall on the southside. The last time I was there it's now on the northside on Athabasca. I was introduced to this place from my friend that is from Devon and I had decided to meet up with her since I was in town. We ate in the first time I was there and we had each ordered a medium and I ended up taking with me what I didn't finish. The pizza is really bubbling when it arrives. The cheese is so abundant and hot and the crust had a great crunch to it. The second time I ended up driving myself up to Devon from Leduc just for the pizza and I took it to go. I had ordered a Florida 4000 which is pepperoni, salami, bacon, ground beef, Italian sausage and ham. Ya this thing had a lot of meat on it but it wasn't greasy and it was sure cooked through. The cheese near the edge of the crust is crunchy while the secondary cheese on the interior of the surface is gooey and abundant. This was truly an amazing meat pizza. I regret not going to Florida last time I was in Alberta but I always have it on my radar of places to go even if I have to drive from near the airport to Devon it's worth it. read more

I go to Devon every month or so. Somehow I have never been to this Pizza Joint and I don't know why. I can honestly say this is in the top 3 of my favourite of all time. Absolutely best crust. We had the Florida 2000 and the buffalo chicken. Thumbs up fo-shizzie. Prices are less than $30 for a special large. Awesome. read more

Florida Pizza used to be in a strip mall, across the street from their current location. The location doesn't matter, the food does. It's always been consistent and true. The pizza is awesome. We stopped at Florida Pizza for takeout after the Luminaria event at the Devonian Gardens. Based on the high Yelp reviews, and the delicious smells when we walked in the door, we wished we had planned to eat in instead. But alas we took our Florida 4000 and Donair Pizzas and made the seemingly forever trek home (my stomach growling the whole way!) I couldn't have prepared myself for the yummy-ness that came out of those boxes. I had two slices and was full (but ate a third just because I can...hey, I'm pregnant...and it was GOOD!) The pizzas weren't overly greasy and they were both chock full of fresh, real ingredients - LOTS of them! The tomatoes and the green pepper (that we added to the 4000) were as tasty as they come. Now if only we didn't have to go back to Devon to get more! Thank goodness for leftovers :) read more

After a few years of working in Devon, my opinion of Florida's has changed significantly. The problem with Florida's is that when the food is good, it's great, but when it's bad, it's pretty bad. When I go out to eat I like to be reasonably confident that I'm going to have a good meal, and the inconsistency with the food and service at Florida's has gotten to the point that I no longer want to roll the dice to see whether or not I'll enjoy my food. Over the past year and a half I've experienced badly undercooked French fries (sent back twice to the kitchen and finally left without being eaten), consistent brown lettuce in my salad, moldy green pepper, old tough pizza dough and wildly varying quality of souvlaki chicken, ranging from delicious to oily and rubbery. When this is coupled with an increasing frequency of inattentive service, the whole meal becomes a disappointment instead of a treat at the end of the week. I love supporting businesses that are local and family run, but I won't continue to do so if they aren't able to implement a level of quality control that ensures excellent food on a regular basis. read more

I have visited this restaurant at various times over the past 25 years. As is usually the case from a family run restaurant, the food is excellent. Most of my visits have been for pizza though I have had most of the other menu items as well. My only disappointment is they no longer have the jukebox. read more

Is this place for real!? Honestly the BEST pizza I've ever had. I've always been a Pizza 73/Boston Pizza fan (and I still am!), but Florida's taste is just so unique to me! I mean, pizza is pizza - always good - but whenever we order pizza from here, my husband and I have to stop ourselves from devouring the whole thing! And then we are excited to eat the rest for leftovers! If you are a crust lover - you'll see what I mean! Even if you're not, the generous amount of toppings will get ya hooked! I've told numerous city friends about this place and will continue to rave about it! The only thing that could make it any better would be if they offered 2 for 1!
